Only new game I played on my Switch was Kirby. After that they haven't released anything I'd like to play. Still waiting on Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4 but that depends on performance. Switch games are able to be emulated and run better on a PC. Maybe I will just plan for that.
Islands are nice and big. Cyberspace levels play weird and are repetitive. Way too much pop in. I like how some springs are like side quests. You hit one and you never know where Sonic will end up.
I prefer Claire over Jill. But I wish RE2 had a more action focused setting. I ended up paying $2 to unlock the secret weapons and its a lot more fun. Don't get me wrong, slow paced survival horror is great fun I simply don't have the time to play as long. Back in school time on the PS1 I was good enough to earn those weapons myself.
It was a nice enough system but so underpowered and no storage space. The whole pitch meeting about how it needs to not make noise so as not to disturb mother and the Nintendo team pretending they never used Xbox Live or Playstation Network was comedy gold.
Thats when they started to remove important game mechanics such as exp and when a majority of the characters were simply Toads. Loved Super Paper Mario just too bad nintendo didn't.
I can't wait for an action rpg using the hd2d visuals. As for remakes they could do the obvious Chrono Trigger but I'd be happier with Super Mario RPG in hd2d.
@Bablommebite It's very easy to understand why you are where you are in life. I will leave it at that. Any further responses from you will not be read by me. Keep at it. One day you will grow up. I will root for you.
@Bablommebite You get no profits from their sales so no you do not have a stake at all. I do own stock in some of these companies. So I do have a stake. Big difference.
@Bablommebite As if you have any stake in it. To be fair I do Emulate PS2 with Suikoden 3 if that makes you happy. I play for free and no matter how upset that makes anyone I do not care.
@Bablommebite My Razer Laptop has my Steam library and is primarily my Emulation machine. Its where I emulate Metroid Dread, Super Paper Mario, Pikmin, and my all time favorite Panzer Dragoon Saga. All for free. Happy to know when I buy a higher end Steam Deck I'll get to enjoy all of those games including Tears of the Kingdom with a much better framerate.
The aging Switch is not the place for any 3rd party title. They all are lower quality than any other version ans that's the truth. I use it for Nintendo first party games only and my PC and PS5 handle all the rest.
Odyssey 2 for me. Really though I'd like a game that centered on the entering a pipe and emerging 2d to do challenges. The 3d hub worlds can be filled with puzzles you have to solve in the 2d world to manipulate the 3d world.
@SilentHunter382 2 and 3 on GOG would be amazing. Got The Room from there and it plays great. Also got Blood Omen Legacy of Kain. They got the good stuff there.
The Switch has enough games. They need more Nintendo developed exclusives. Maybe then I'd play it before Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4 release. Funny you write out "next gen" as if its a bad thing.
@GameOtaku Avalibility is on them. I'd gladly play Super Paper Mario or Thousand Year Door on a Switch. Nintendo can't be bothered so I turn to Dolphin and play it that way. Games are meant to be played.
@GameOtaku There are plenty of games running in emulators on the Switch and you're fine with that. I encourage everyone to emulate. If it's good enough you'll buy a version at some point and if not oh well. I got the fit girl repack of Gundam Battle Alliance. It's fun so I wishlisted it on PS5 and am waiting for a sale as it's not worth $60.
@GameOtaku I have been collecting games since the 80's. I own the UMD, two of them to be precise. Funny you should ASSUME I stole. Your guilty conscience screaming out?
@GameOtaku P3 Portable was not scarce. PSP emulators are so well refined I have been playing it in my phone since the Galaxy S8 days. Runs beautifully on PC as well. P4 Golden has been on Steam for years now.
After how pathetic the new Saints Row sound track is compared to part 4 was sad. Like they omitted songs from the 80's and a had a full bit tune station to pander to the new crowd.
@Nanami_Ataraxi Once you reach a certain point and upgrade your suit it's less of a problem. If you don't explore planets enough you may have to just buy the materials you need for crafting and building.
It's nice to see the games also on Switch but releasing after so much time is the bad thing. I played these games on better systems long ago. One of those dry seasons for us that keep up with the new games.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2022 - Our Most Played Games
@-wc- Very slow. Spent most of their time on the Mario movie instead of releasing games. Left that to third parties and their shovelware.

Re: Nintendo Isn't Happy About Switch Game Images On Steam
Emulating was a big deciding factor when I bought a Steamdeck. I'll continue emulating as I have since the year 2000.

The games barely released and already talking of future installments.

Re: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Switch Frame Rate & Resolution Detailed
@Tober I can see the difference clear as day. Since I got a PS5 and Performance mode I will never go back. 30 fps is choppy, slow and unplayable.

Time for a Switch successor?

Well then we will continue to emulate then. It's not like they ever really offered a good library and always drip drop titles so slowly.
Re: Video: Check Out This Sonic Frontiers Side-By-Side PS5 & Switch Comparison
30 fps is just so slow and choppy.
Re: Sonic Frontiers On Switch Will Be The "Same Experience" As Other Platforms
So its a lie or they are dialing back the next gen versions to match. Time move on from the weaker systems.

Choppy compared to a PS5 game or even a Series S. Next time Nintendo, next time.
