I had the 3ds version a few years back, it was great! The NL community was helpful, and created some incredible games (someone ported Megaman to the system). Can't wait to see what comes on the switch

It's strange, I never went to toys r us exclusively for video games. The main reason I recall visiting the store at all is for Pokemon.
Card Packs, tickets, games (duh) and my personal favorite: EVENTS
When I found out that the store was Releasing a rare 'Mon like Mew or shiny lucario I'd have to rush down there

I was planning out grabbing Splatoon 2 this Friday, guess I can wait another month with this deal coming up.

@MitchVogel Exactly, the reasoning behind this game not having been made is terrible when you consider the fact that it's a GAME DEVELOPERS job to create/develop a concept into a working game.

I think a solid 2D platformer could work, obviously there's a speed difference but this could be worked around

Is it me, or that this article feel more like it was defending the game than previewing it. All pros and cons aside, it's sad to see Sonic (err, "Sonic Boom?") Reach a point where, "it's not that bad" is the goal....

Recently my new(!) nintendo 3ds xl r button came off completely, thanks 2 smash (I'm grab happy) so that $150 bundle can not come soon enough

Huh, Sega plays it safe, for a 25th anniversary title reveal it's underwhelming (honestly it looks fan made) BUT after 06,Lost world and.... ugh Boom, I'm perfectly fine w/Sega playing it safe.

While I(like millions of other people) enjoy pokémon go, I feel like it's been handled poorly. Beyond the servers themselves, you can't trade or battle freely with other. And I don't feel attached to my pokémon, when I need to catch 30 of the same pokémon just to make 1 stronger and evolve, the novelty of my (insert pokemon here) fades away...

TL;DR
Pokemon go is Fun but poor servers, and a lack of attachment/Over saturation of pokémon could lead to it's downfall

@Whopper744 The adventure and advance games made me a sonic fan, I'd love to see a title along those lines....

Although a Sonic generations styled game wouldn't be bad either...

This is a weird request and would completely alter pokémon's playstyle but what if Sun/Moon played in a Xenoblade Chronicles 3D sort of way? Traversing a HUGE region with large pokémon (yknow wailord and stuff) taking up entire waterbEd's and pidgeys flying overhead, etc.?

This negativity towards sf0 reminds me of kids icarus uprising, a good game panned by critics due to the controls

Honestly I've hardly played fates recently, I bought Birthright and got the free awakening dlc but it just isn't as engrossing as previous entries to me.

While I personally would stick with the people who raised me, I think I'm going with Birthright-I loved Awakening compared to previous entries and this seems like a logical stepping stone

@Randomname19 Honestly I found Lost world stuck trying to please Adventure fans and colors fans and it ended up being a chaotic mess in certain areas.

I'd like a full 3d sonic game that uses the boost mechanic alongside level design that encourages speed.

On the 3ds side, a Sonic rush style game or advance style (multiple characters ) would be awesome

Considering the fact that you seem to enjoyed the classic 2d sonic games, I'm surprised you found the advance series, "forgettable". I found them to be very deep platformers

True, all the teases will get you trapped in the sonic cycle, I'd rather know off the bat if it looks good (gameplay wise)
