@ramu-chan Actually those console versions are compromised, they can't be played on the train when I am heading to work every morning I can live with 30FPS when I am not tied to my house with the game.
@JayJ I do think it is a far cry better now than at release date, it is really not even close. And they are still going to continue to make big improvements. But IDD with you at all, for them to release the game with the content it had after over-selling the games features the way they did was certainly pretty eye opening. I can understand how the whole idea of playing the game now is something you don't care to do.
I love the Switch but Nintendo IMO has dropped the ball in year 2 so far. Keep dicking around with the 3DS and a possible successor instead of turning the Switch into a juggernaut. Case in point, Luigi's mansion ported to the 3DS and not the Switch. They should also have a sequel to Zelda A link Between worlds already in place for the Switch as something in between the Wii U/Switch BOTW or a new Mario adventure. They seem to take their foot off the gas at times and stuff like this ends up happening. Their stock should be on fire right now with this system instead all you hear is negative talk.
Makes no sense to me why he doesn't make a new sequel to this game. It has to have sold a few million copies by now, I want more in the future, a new experience.
The price tag is the only thing that saves it for me, I want cloud saves and hopefully they start adding other titles from N64 and even GCN in the near future. I won't hold my breath as they will want to monetize those roms moreso than they do the NES ones.
The price is cheap and I want online saves so I am in. I couldn't care less about the NES games, I wanted a true VC with DS and Gamecube and N64 games and more.
@Emperor-Palpsy Obviously just my opinion but I want all levels of their programmers making software for the Switch not just the A teams.
Go on Reddit and a lot of other Nintendo forums and you will see what i mean, some people are saying great first year for Nintendo terrible second year SO FAR. Yes it is the internet and people love to [removed] but they have a point about the lack of great games being released SO FAR this year. Sales figures are great, that doesn't mean the system couldn't have used more triple A type games from both Nintendo and other teams developers.
This is Nintendo, there will definitely be other Switch sku's, there will definitely be a cheaper version of some sort. As long as it keeps complete compatibility with the Switch family of titles nobody will be confused. This isn't a Wii-Wii U situation. I get they still want to sell more 3DS/2DS consoles and software. It makes sense for their bottom line but it isn't the best move for the Switch family. Just my opinion, have a good day.
I don't want the system to die outright, there is a ton of games available for it and more to come this year. But I would rather they spend their time making great Switch software. I would rather 3rd party developers only consider Switch titles instead of 3DS titles. We are already hearing of people bored with their Switch, complaining about a bad start to the first 4 months of 2018 etc. That could be avoided going forward if everyone concentrated on the Switch. A cheaper slightly more portable Switch is bound to come in the next year or so anyway.
So far it is pretty good, I am not playing much since I have heard there is a game breaking bug near the beginning of the game that should be patched in the next few days.
@SwitchVogel I can see when people double dip for games they bought a year or more ago but who is going to buy a remaster of a game and buy it again 3 months later? Some will but I don't think this is why they did this lol.
@7Levels I always reward developers who listen to the people who buy their games. I own a ton of Switch games, some of which I bought for the 2nd or even 3rd time. I will buy this game as soon as this issue of being unbearably hard is solved. Not sure how easy it would be but instead of changing your vision of the game an easier mode would probably be the best way to get players to buy in past chapter one. Or maybe just removing some of the enemies or adding a more powerful weapon for the hero into the mix. You're the developer but I like what I see, and these guys initial take on the game is what I am reading elsewhere as well. Hope to see some resolution to this and like I said I will definitely play the game because I love this type of game.
@Heavyarms55 Well Dark Souls Remaster, DK Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors DE, Street Fighter 30th anniversary is an awesome lineup if you didn't play any of those games which I am one of those people. Even if you did having them on the go with you is a great thing. And Labo will sell like hot cakes I have no doubt.
There is literally no way there won't be a more powerful Switch in 2020 or so. Same thing goes for a cheaper version to replace the 3DS line of hardware.
I see some people came into this with pre-existing hate in tow and would have female dogged and moaned and told us how dire the port is even if it scored a 9 here. I am sure the game is fun and it is only missing 8 heists, some of which are paid DLC? All I care about is this....is the game I am getting worth my time on the Switch? I'm thinking yes considering there aren't many other titles on the Switch that give you this type of game play. I ignore the obvious hate posts, because I could see those posts being valid if the game seriously sucked and was broken. Neither is the case..
@RETRO_J For now I agree, but for games in 2020 and beyond there is no doubt triple A developers will be hard pressed to port games to this system that they have spent a ton of money on for the PS5 and the next Xbox (both of which will be here by 2019/20). As a handheld it will still be a fantastic device, as a home console not so much by that time.
I do believe this will sell for a long time but there is no way in 2020 or beyond that this can be their main console. Unless they want it to be an Nintendo only/indie machine and have no 3rd party triple A titles like Doom or Wolfenstein 2 on the system. Maybe developers can make games to scale easier knowing this hybrid system is a big seller but making games for the PS5 and the next Xbox will make it very difficult to port to a system that is half the power of the PS4/XBOX 1.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th August (North America)
The Walking Dead game is far from garbage, there are a few other decent titles on the list this week as well as a few solid demos.
Re: Fall Of Light: Darkest Edition Brings Dark Souls-Inspired RPG Action To Switch Next Week
This looks pretty good, what do people on Steam think?

No Mans Sky has improved literally 10 fold since it first shipped. The game is now pretty damn good, IMO.

Great company, I bought both Doom and Wolf 2 for the Switch and it was money well spent.

@djaxon0614 You're right, this YouTube trailer sold me on the game
Re: Review: Another World (Switch eShop)
Why didn't Heart of the Alien catch on, was it that bad?
Re: Feature: Taking A Trip To Another World With Creator Éric Chahi
@techdude Probably not, I don't think it was ever legally ported to any other console since it's original release.

@Shiryu Hell I didn't know that, thanks for the info
Re: Review: Another World (Switch eShop)
And BTW I am picking this up again for the 10th time or whatever...
Re: Review: Another World (Switch eShop)
@SKTTR You can play the sequel on your PC, it is out there packaged for play if you look for the rom..
Re: Review: The Fall (Switch eShop)
My opinion, if you didn't play this game already pick it up..and it's sequel as well. Both games are really good.

Not surprising considering it is patently ridiculous to only have 1 Triple A Mario game and 1 Triple A Zelda game per console cycle.
