Just announce something, anything, that isn’t a remake or simple sequel.

I want to see a glimpse of that good ol’ Nintendo brilliance again, because the Switch 2 hasn’t seen much of it yet.

If it’s just a simple one-on-one remake as it seems to be, than the developer doesn’t even matter all that much.

When I bought this I actually felt a bit scammed about how expensive the game was for the shallow single player experience it had to offer.

I was hoping that they would add a big chunk of solo content down the road, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to happen.

Really weird that it takes so much longer to arrive on Switch. They should’ve planned this better.

It’s safe to say they already milked the X series to the max. Just try to come up with something new…

I don’t think anyone needs to be in a rush to get one if they haven’t purchased one already.

Except for Bananza there hasn’t been any first party game that actually felt like a next-gen title so far.

Yep. It’s a pile of sh1t. But strangely enough plenty of people are happy to buy sh1t these days, otherwise they wouldn’t release things in a state like this.

Why so much fuzz about what tools he might have used? It doesn’t matter if it’s AI or not. If it’s bad, it’s bad.

The initial asking price was already pushing it for what it is, imo. The only thing you could say is that it’s even worse on other platforms. Crazy times.

That’s the ugliest side of digital-only games. They can just pull the plug whenever they please.

Unfortunately, he’s not wrong. Times used to be much simpler—you could just make a fun game.

Now it’s a mega-business with insane amounts of money involved. It’s bound to get dirty.

Yes, it could be “surprisingly affordable “. It could also be ridiculously overpriced. Without context these prices mean nothing.

Another example of a digital service that people still use getting axed.

If all-digital is gonna be the future, it sure as hell is a cloudy one.

Of course we don’t need it. Do they care though? Whatever prints money they milk into oblivion.

I was gonna say this game was Nintendo’s biggest fail of the Switch 2, but then I remembered they also tried to sell us a “Welcome Tour” manual.

The remake culture is getting way out of control. I’d wish developers focused more on making actual new experiences instead of endlessly recycling the past.

I already have a Switch 2 and I already have Ocarina of Time.

Can they also come up with something new?

A small indie dev showing all those giant AAA studios how it’s actually done.

Kinda ridiculous how three of them feature nearly the exact same pose.

Super Metroid is the only one that stands out in a more creative way.

Inexcusable to pull the plug so soon. The “digital future” definitely doesn’t bode well for consumer rights, that much is clear already.

Nice that they actually put the game on the cart!

Bizarre times we live in that something so basic has become a tremendous achievement.

Sadly these numbers don’t give them any incentive to improve their awful Switch support. Switch owners will keep getting the short end of the stick.

They’ll take the easiest, fastest route: a straightforward remake with just a fresh coat of paint. Outsource it to another studio, keep the investent low, and collect the easy money from fans that buy it regardless.

Sorry to sound pessimistic, but this is just how gaming businesses operate these days.

At this point I’d rather take a fresh rip-off then an official remake for the tenth time.

I’m still sour about how they screwed up MP4. It actually makes me doubt that Nintendo is able to do adult-oriented games at all anymore.

That’s some very creative bookmarking on their end! Of course it’s gonna be 90% if you hardly release any physical products.

I can’t believe a remake is their big holiday title. Sure, it’s Zelda, but still. Some people prefer to play something that’s actual new. :/

Decent numbers, especially considering the fact that the software lineup hasn’t been stellar so far.

Happy to see DK Bananza doing well! As a matter of fact, it still feels like the only true “next-gen” title so far, and it’s been over a year since it came out…

The Capcom developed titles were amazing.

Crazy. I already feel the Switch 2 offers too little value for its money. The other platforms are doing even worse it seems!

With these prices? Nintendo merchandise feels Apple-like these days. You pay a premium fee just for the brand name.

I always try to give multiple systems some playing time. Weekend lineup:

• Battletoads (NES)
• Secret of Mana (SNES)
• Castlevania 64 (N64)
• Chu Chu Rocket (DC)
• Okami (Wii)
• Kirby Canvas Curse (DS)
• Splatoon Raiders (NS)

Well, they’re still carving up its corpse, selling the pieces back to us one remake at a time.

I’m very happy to hear investing in an original, new IP paid off!

It’s almost a rarity to find a good game that isn’t a remake or sequel these days.

Sounds more and more like it’s going to be a straightforward remake and not a creative reimagination. Too bad. But I guess it sells no matter what they do with it.

Almost none of these are actual good remakes. They’re simply already-great games re-released on newer hardware with minor gameplay tweaks, some quality-of-life improvements, or a graphical facelift.

Meh, would be a Game-Key anyway, so no thanks.

Enough with all the remakes already… Make something original for a change!

Truly a shame they didn’t want to include splitscreen multiplayer. This would’ve been a blast to play with friends and family on the big screen.

Due to the absence of splitscreen multiplayer, I can’t give it higher than a six. A huge missed opportunity.

I'm really hoping this movie doesn't end up being a disaster. Recent video game adaptations haven't exactly inspired much confidence. Most feel like they're made just to cash in on the success of the games rather than tell a great story fit for the medium.

Hopefully this one proves that trend wrong…

Not including the DLC for these re-releases feels kinda scummy. Are they really going to make people buy that separately again? C’mon…

The composition of the western one is interesting and dynamic, although I dislike the title logo. The Japanese one is very dull overall.

Even if they’d announce a Switch 2 version, it’d probably be a Game-Key crap. We just can’t win with third parties these days.
