I don't, but does that waive my right of voicing my public input?
If he's demanding a smartphone, he was probably previously exposed to one, which he then liked using, a lot, then shortly acquired an addiction for technology.
I also did school on smart devices, but my premise is not faulty. My premise is only directed to people who use technology as a substitute parent because they don't want to deal right now, or as a silencer, which yes, I suppose is very very difficult to do when you're exhausted and have a million other things to do. But this is where creativity comes in, and maybe some rules and discipline on tech use on the child's part, because with the great power of handing over the Internet (and many mind-numbing apps that falsely claim they are educational) to your child, comes great responsibility.
But I don't wish to call out the already weary or insert myself into anything. This is me spouting my personal views on a gaming site, take it for what you will.
Just a heavy annoyance of mine, which I believe naturally lowers children's attention span.
I'm not demonizing technology. I live on technology. I'm downplaying parents who hand over their children to video babysitters, and the most common vector of this action is the iPad.
Anyone who gives their kid an iPad to shut them up with is a horrible parent in my eyes. Technology is NOT a babysitter. YouTube is NOT a babysitter. Neither are substitutes.
It has now been demonstrated over and over and over that this kind of constant tech and this kind of constant power at an early age decreases attention-span and demotes parent/child relationships. It's why Steve Jobs didn't allow any of his kids any iPads. It also destroys the very fabric of YouTube, prompting money-grabbing channels to churn out Spiderman and Elsa video after Spiderman and Elsa video. They aren't even educational. Just sick, usually.
This has been a spontaneous rant on parenting styles.
Oh absolutely. Google and Facebook are all for forced diversity, censorship, and far-left ideals. It's like their obsession.
Yup, me too. Nothing more dangerous AND influential, which sucks. I've got a nickname for Facebook's CEO. I call him Shark F*ckerzerg. Guy literally wants to control the masses' brains and he also called Facebook's entire userbase "dumb$#!ts". Because he knows what Facebook is. He (and you and I) know how dumb people must be to live on Facebook, which is in massive cahoots with the FBI, who is too busy crying about Russian hackers to do anything useful.
Really? How bad is Microsoft with their keyboards?
Good to know. I'll keep that in mind about Android, because even my Nook HD came littered with Google garbage. Infuriating.
Apple and Microsoft are senior demon generals? Whatever for? I can kind of understand Microsoft, but why on Earth is Apple a senior demon general? Out of all tech companies, I trust them the most. Assuming we're talking company values and focus and not just product management...
Here, check out this thread over at another website a very smart person indeed made, but then proceeded to get his rear-end reamed simply because he was onto the big two. Yes, YouTube is owned by Google, but I digress.
Very true on Apple's mentality of a walled garden. Very annoying when you treat your mobile device as an extension of your computer (when you aren't running a Mac ). Otherwise, I think the device itself operating as a sole entity is pretty reasonable too.
I'm gonna have to take a good long look at Android when it stops being infested with Google spyware and bloatware, and stops having anything to do with Google, really. Might be interesting to me.
In terms of a tablet, or mobile phone really, iOS is not that bad. Despite my preference for Linux, which is what Android was built on, iOS was just put together better. Now, how you see that 'better' is subjective, but it was launched off a stable, proven foundation, and has evolved ever since.
On the same token, I have almost no experience with Android, so I'm probably not one to make this claim, but it's from my point of view anyway.
Now, if you want to talk about ways it can't get worse, at least you aren't using OS X 10.10+. NOTHING can get worse from that garbage. Aside from maybe Windows 10.
What usually causes problems with cellphones is the built-in cellular radio, especially when it's always on and up against your skin. Bluetooth on the other hand, which is what the Joy-Cons use, is MUCH less harmful. So is Wi-Fi, which is always preferable to Cellular Services, because it's faster and safer.
This is why I'm going to base all my communicative services upon landlines and Ethernet tangles, when I get my own house. Much faster, much more reliable, and, last I checked, people don't get cancer from cables.
...Or the definition could be the act of deliberately fabricating information to the public, or even spreading outright lies about a person you don't like solely for the sake of furthering a collective's already out of control political agenda.
Just upgraded to a 2DS XL from my launch model, and I can't get enough of it. Games are actually playable now, with no broken shoulder buttons, bad ergonomics, clicky buttons, or tiny screens in sight. Though I still need screen protectors. And a proper case. And perhaps a larger library.
But I wish they would give the 3DS another price cut. In which case, do something similar to the ambassadors program.
See, this is why I always unplug all my stuff during the rare lightning storm. Better safe than sorry, especially with Nintendo's data management skills around.
I also don't want to know what happens when lightning strikes a workstation carrying a 980W PSU, so I keep that on an APS.
But hey, something I've picked up is that if one of your devices does not turn on after it being plugged in during a storm, try disconnecting both ends of the power cord, and let it sit for 2 hours to 2 days before trying again. In some rare cases, and I've had this happen to myself, 2 weeks might need to be attempted before reaching a conclusion.
Trump is a sign of America's integrity being resurrected. I can't believe there are still people who think we'd be better off any other way.
He also isn't a globalist, pedophilic, santanist who wants war with Syria, and to let in every refugee scumbag from everywhere in the middle east, working for the system. And of course everything else I'm forgetting that the Democratic party does.
Please. Do not mix politics and gaming. They don't even physically sound mixable.

I'm happy as long as the Switch gets a browser.
But until then, Wii U is still the best console as far as I'm concerned.

Very simple.

It all depends upon the parent's standards and discipline. An easy road is always easier to take than the hard one.

Absolutely. Remember how hush hush and secretive Nintendo was about NX?
Well, they can pull that anytime they like with anything they please.
It's not worth even debating. Switch has a very bright future ahead of it. And the Wii U has already been buried for a year.
I...really liked the Wii U...

See, there's your problem. If you never used pirated games in the first place, you wouldn't feel so polarizing about literally ALL hacks.
Pirating games =/= Hacking
Although they're two semi-related worlds, they're still two entirely separate, unrelated worlds.
Wait a second, I just made a paradox.
Damn.

Pretty sure that was much more Sakamoto's fault. I think Team Ninja just handled the gameplay, which wasn't bad.

I'd totally go for a Sm4sh remaster, as long as it combines the two games and adds a couple other things. That would be perfect.
Also, can someone remind me why developing Sm4sh was such a massively physically demanding undertaking on Sakurai? I've forgotten.
