@Henmii

So do I. Grew up with it.

Actually no, you know what? Mario Kart 8 is leagues ahead of Mario Kart Wii in terms of being unbalanced. That's because instead of the 'place' system where every other game decides what item to give you based on your place, Mario Kart 8 decides what item to give you based on the 1st place guy's position. You can get Crazy Eights in second place in that game!

There was an article that discussed that somewhere...

@Dev

Tell me about it. I'd rather get blown up than shrunk.

Although I think the Coin item took its place in the newer games. Whether it's upon getting the Thunder Cloud or the Coin, everyone just utters "ugh" when they get either. Although, the difference is that one of them doesn't screw you over.

@Anti-Matter

From my point of view, it's not embedded in concrete, but it is heavily implied from some technicians on several forums who used to repair PS2s. But of course, this was from February, so my memory may not be extra sharp.

But do definitely exercise care when handling any electronic. They aren't indestructible.

@Heavyarms55

Funnily enough, playing CDs and DVDs tended to wear out the PS2's laser much faster because it was always running, resulting in many broken systems, which then contributed to more sales of replacement consoles. When I got mine, I read a couple sources saying that the PS2 was designed to fail to generate more sales. Replacement units.

And so, that's why I don't play CDs, DVDs, or even PS1 games on mine. I also have it extensively clean and don't game for long hours on it. So far, it's been working great since February 2017.

That's what I heard, anyway.

Re: Aonuma Wants to Keep Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Freedom in Future Games

Personally, I think the freedom was less paramount to me compared to the detail and aliveness of the open world. You go into a little corner of Hyrule, and there's enough stuff to do there.

Honestly, I hope Aonuma and his team lean a little bit more toward the more traditional method in the next installment, but continue to incorporate that detail and infinitive list of things to do.

For me, I think my moment was more of a portion.

The Great Plateau, for me, will always be the best part of the game. That's when everyone's jaw first dropped at Link's ability to jump, how cool the Sheikah Slate was, the sheer beauty of Hyrule, and learning how to play the game. The discoveries, the experiments, the risks, and the smaller-scale experiences of that very first part of the game will always be my favorite.
