I wonder if you have a salt lick since you like salt so much...

I recommend trying some caramel with that salt of yours, it's delicious.

You may as well open up a salt mine since you are such a salt hoarder.

Some potato chips with that salt?

How about sweat? Would you like some sweat? It has a high salt content.

What about salted sweated pretzels? Please have some, they'rrree GREAT!

Careful with all that salt, mate. You might get a heart attack. Or a stroke. Then we'll have to call you Salty Samson.

I wonder if you are a salty sailor, and live on a giant drifting saltberg... Inside the Salt Lake itself (Salt Lake City). You are probably captain of the S.S. Salt, or better known as the "Salt Salt Salt".

Your plan was probably to launch a giant aSalt on the members of Nintendo Life, thus launching the great salty NL backlash.

You probably live inside a salt castle, in which case it's a wonder you don't look like a mummy with all that skin-salt contact. You could use your special salt to make an anti-wrinkle cream and make millions. - Or are you salty that you never got around to doing that?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm just fooling around. Take my salty jokes with a salty grain of salt, because they're nothing but salty salt.

As a token of our salty friendship, I offer you this salty gift. Please saltily accept it.

@wiisdom_

This is the internet. Nobody wants anyone to be happy.

If this is his only spare time, then I guarantee you that he has time for mobile games. Those things are fun.

And if he's an overworked 44 year old, he sure does speak like a ten year old. Maybe he needs more time to relax and gather himself after work before going online.

Of course, that isn't the case.

@The_Gerudo_King

Go away, ten year old.

"Why not leave a comment to tell us how ridiculously excited you are for Super Mario Odyssey?"

I'm so ridiculously excited for Super Mario Odyssey, I could throw a fit!

I'm so ridiculously excited for Super Mario Odyssey, I could shoot someone!

I'm so ridiculously excited for Super Mario Odyssey, I could launch a heist!

I'm so ridiculously excited for Super Mario Odyssey, I could shoot myself!

@Nintendoforlife

Other M wasn't a spin-off.

Smash Bros. only uses mainline game character models, and Smash 4 used the Other M Varia Suit.

Think of it this way, we had Prime Samus by the time Brawl came out. They stuck with Super Metroid Samus, even in 2008. There was absolutely NO reason NOT to use the superior-in-every-single-way Prime suit over the Super Metroid suit in Brawl.

Unless Nintendo considers Metroid Prime a spinoff series...

(Metroid Prime Pinball, Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime Federation Force, Metroid Prime Crossbow Training, etc.)

@ThanosReXXX

Of course it was.

I still wish it was named the Ultra 64, though. Screw simplicity and universality.

I there's a chance I might be getting an Indigo2 soon. If you ever want one, they are FAR less expensive than they were back in the day. Only a couple hundred for a unit today, compared to the same unit that used to cost a couple ten thousand back in maybe '95, '96.

Re: Congratulations Nintendo 64, You're A Proper Grown-Up Now

I can't believe they developed N64 games with an SGI Indy, there were so much better options! They could have made the N64 itself beefier to accommodate something like an Indigo2. Now THAT, would have killed the PlayStation and Saturn in one fell swoop.

Instead, they chose lower-end hardware, and had it developed on the Indigo "without the 'go'". Thing could have sold at least 70m units with that kind of foundation. I'm sure it wouldn't have costed THAT much more to give its internal tech a little wiggle room.

PS: This comment is totally just an excuse to bring up Silicon Graphics.

Re: Random: Ease The Pain Of Sega Forever's Botched Launch With This Official Cereal

I wonder what would happen if Nintendo released a breakfast cereal themed after the Switch, where there would be little tiny wheaty rectangles, which would stand for Switch cartridges. They could flavor them with their famous cartridge flavor! They'll fly off shelves like the Switch itself!

Better yet, they could reinvent the food wheel, just like they reinvented the gaming wheel. They could release the first ever dinner cereal and name it "I wonder what's for dinner?".

It'll sell as if it was lamp oil, rope and bombs!

Yeah!

Re: Nintendo Reveals More Details About its Paid Online Service

@tanookisuit

The subscription is based upon credit. Not eShop funds, @!^%#$. And neither can a child continuously purchase Visa gift cards to support the fees. Parents won't allow that. Neither will parents care to supervise their TEENAGER playing MARIO KART OR SPLATOON, WHICH ARE CHAT-LESS GAMES, WHICH 90% OF ALL NINTENDO TITLES WITH ONLINE CAPABILITIES HAPPEN TO BE, THUS COMPLETELY WASTING THE PARENT'S TIME.

My entitlement? The consumers CAN be entitled. THEY ALONE keep the company afloat. Bad decisions yield poorer sales, and that's a time tested FACT, SOMETHING YOU'RE CLEARLY UNAWARE OF.

What's surprising is your intense self-centeredness of "Oh, $20 isn't too much, I can pay that!" while labeling everyone else the exact same, while only some of them being supposedly entitled, spoiled, hypocritical brat baby bit**es.

It's also dumb how you extensively assume that payment for, like how the other guy put it, p2p connections are REQUIRED for "smooth" input and playback, when, last time I checked, Nintendo has gone over 12 YEARS with FREE online services, and in those 12 years of upkeep, not one cent from the consumer went into it, yet the difference between Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and Nintendo Network was staggering, not even taking into account of the fact that Nintendo is a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY, WITH A MAJOR GLOBAL PRESENCE.

May I remind you what happened during the ENTIRE GAME of Splatoon?

You were constantly online, REQUIRING a connection at ALL TIMES, EVEN WHILE THE ENTIRE PROGRAM WAS CONSTANTLY RUNNING AT 60FPS WITH A RESOLUTION OF 720P HD, and all the while, there were very little connection failures, which were nearly ALWAYS the switch/router's fault. And of course, this was all happening on a totally FREE service, at which point Nintendo had 10 YEARS of experience on. And a game which entirely relies on a "crappy" service does not simply become the Wii U's 6th best selling title.

What's also truly pathetic is your definition of "aggressive", which is just replacing indirect observations with direct insults. I'm so hurt, I need my happy place because the mean old poopyface called the 27 year old pathetic.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Last question; answer me if snowflakes produce replies of this type. Because every interaction I've had with the damn droplets thus far never have.

Nintendo has no reason to do this, especially after over 12 years of smooth sailing. Obviously, the community has a problem with this. Don't bother reacting, what will killing one ant do to an entire nest?

Here's a hint: It won't do anything.

And no, that is not my actual age.

Re: Nintendo Reveals More Details About its Paid Online Service

And here we have your typical run-of-the-mill internet argument, where all comments by all participants are primarily comprised of passive aggressive insults and threats.

Looking back from the beginning, it's quite amusing.

Hilarious, even.

It's rather sad on both sides, actually.
