@AlexSora89 I'm playing AC:NH exclusively and my character is always heading up. Accessing menus is a complete nightmare as the cursor just keeps moving too
I'm suffering drift problems on the (typically) left stick. Has anyone used WD-40 to fix this issue? Is there a better contact cleaner available (in the UK)?
Pretty much everything about Nintendo's online presence is completely wrong. It's like the last 20+ years of successful online gaming via pc and other consoles never happened and/or bypassed Nintendo completely.
I really enjoyed the maze; it made a nice change from the main game and introduced a Zelda like dungeon that worked really well - albeit very simple. I definitely want more of these
@ryando The Golden Trout took lots of bait for me to finally catch, but my son caught it easily. My hardest fish so far was the Barreleye. That took a whole month and tons of bait
@alpacatears I had a meteor shower on Monday with no announcements or visit from Celeste or Isabelle. They obviously happen randomly on occasion. BTW This was my third meteor shower since getting the game on day 1.
To say that what we do in a game will affect what we do in real life is fecking stupid. Years of analytical studies has shown us that this is not the case eg game violence.
Now, where's my axe; there are a couple of trees down the way that need felling. And I need to sell some pesky wildlife to a geezer in the local shop.
@jcvandan Just wait until you're targetted by a tarantula or scorpion - you're opinion may change! At least in this game you can jump over something to avoid them - no such luck in previous entries. You don't know the meaning of panic until you get sighted by one of those bad boys!! Not to mention the bees/wasps...!
As a fan of GetBass/Sega Bass Fishing etc. this looks pretty good. I'd prefer a proper fishing reel peripheral (like GetBass), but the controllers could work.
I'll wait for a proper review of a version that I can understanf first though!
Reggie wearing a Metroid T-Shirt to a public event was not a coincidence or happy accident. He knew exactly what he was doing. PR FTW. Whether it's a hint or not doesn't matter; it gets people talking about Metroid and gets hopes up.
A stylus is not necessary and is not even available for Switch - it's nothing to do with Nintendo marketing. Just use a finger, like every other touchscreen compatible game on the Switch.
Squares can be enlarged easily by scaling - pretty much EVERY mobile phone version of grid based puzzle games can do this.
"Good for them" seriously? Not adding in more control options makes the company good? How is that a good thing. You can add without taking anything away, you know. How is adding touch screen only a "half-working" feature. D'oh!
And yeah, it's my choice to buy or not. And I won't.
@meppi64. Adding touchscreen takes seconds for a decent dev - Picross really is an easy game to develop. These ports are P!$$-poor lazy. Honestly. I've developed Picross games myself and it's a doddle. By all means have D-Pad control, but at least offer the option of touchscreen. I love Picross and have all the "e" games (despite the price of each, which is a few quid more than they should be), but I won't be buying any Picross game on Switch unless it offers touchscreen. To me, touchscreen has always been the way to play - on paper you use a pen to play, on DS/3DS stylus. Why not touch control on Switch? It isn't logical not to offer touchscreen/
I personally would rather Nintendo were more open about what's coming out and when, all year round, rather than waiting for announcements in Directs or at shows. There would be no need for leaks then.
There are indeed some classics there. I've got a few of them (IronCast, OxenFree and LIADST (on STEAM)), but will be reaching out for a few others there - WOL and Yoku's for sure. Cheers Alex
Personally, I'm hoping for proper emulated SEGA arcade games, rather than just MD ports/re-releases. Why play, say, MD "AfterBurner II" when you could be playing the arcade version. Or arcade "Space Harrier" instead of MD "Space Harrier II." Same goes for all other arcade titles too - "OutRun" (+2 please! it was on original XBox), "Golden Axe", "ThunderBlade", "Flicky" etc. etc. The Switch could easily handle these titles. I owned both on Dreamcast and TBH they are both tediouly slow and dull games. The ideas were better than the implementation. I really don't get the love for them. I got more enjoyment usiing the in-game gashapon and arcade machines than the actual game.

Re: Switch Joy-Con Drift Claim Must Be Arbitrated, Says Illinois Federal Court
@AlexSora89 It typically is - which means most of the time it's the left. Right does indeed get affected though.

I've never had turnips prices of more than 105 in my land so far. Pointless buying for 91-95 to make just a few bells on each.

Any game that promotes the brands associated within over the game itself probably deserves a miss, methinks!
Re: UK Charts: Animal Crossing: New Horizons And FIFA 20 Continue To Fight For Top Spot

But like I said, he missed what was then, April's. He said that Nintendo Life didn't do one for April. I showed that they did.

@dartmonkey - But that still means that the other guy missed the April guide, as I stated...
