Way too much story, in just the format they use (i hate "retro" graphics), & no battle animations mean it's not for me. I didn't play FFT, so the nostalgia isn't clouding my perspective.

@Ventilator ahh, definitely could be. It was trading for "points" which u could then trade for gift cards, it wasn't a 1 for 1 trade. It also wasn't a lot of value. Here's a result of a quick search (so i know i wasn't crazy, lol).

@JaxonH I've had everyone if the big 3 since they existed & never had a controller drift except joycon, FWIW.

Ehh, the mii is unique enough for me, & i don't play Nintendo games online, so too many people don't see it anyways.

@nessisonett after the most recent 6 episodes, i have to agree that it's atrocious (since we've seen it mostly pan out now). I was willing to give it a shot, as i liked many of the Whittaker episodes, but wow. Those were really really bad, IMO.

To me, someone who doesn't play most Pokemon games but loves JRPGs (have only played through Pokemon Y, they're all way too similar for me to invest that much of my limited time), this didn't look as appealing as Legends Arceus. I will eventually buy Arceus, but I'll need to see more of this. I'm glad i didn't give in & buy sword or shield like I've planned to a few times. These seem like they're released way too close together for games that want u to collect all the pokemon in 2 versions of the same game (if they realize that gamers play other games, & don't want to get burned out...but after CoD, everyone wants that Activision yearly release money). If they're only trying to get people who are already fans of Pokemon to be interested/buy these games, i guess they're not trying to appeal to me anyways, so what do i know...

@Not_Soos I'm sure they'll do their own tournament. When that's revealed, it will make more sense.

@Maulbert You must not have been online much, especially at GameSpot, IGN, or any major gaming sites when Vita was released... Because that's all you could read in comments & forums, it seemed. I wouldn't call that "nobody". 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Sourcecode same, i was there real time, too, for both releases, & i felt exactly the same.

I don't care for doing the same thing over & over, or repeating the same environment, etc, so MM never really did it for me. It didn't feel like a Zelda proper. More like a B side track. Same reason i don't care for rogue like/lite.

No gameplay? That's never a good sign.

@JuanBlanco came here exactly to point out the cartoon of them looks NOTHING like Krysta, & everyone knows the artist was probably too scared to make it accurate. What a sad time for art that we live in, IMO.

I bet most people that know who they are would know that's a rendition of Kit if they just looked at the pics with no context or reference to them. I bet no one could say that's a rendition of Krysta looking at that pic, without knowing it was for their podcast (since there's no one else it could be at that point). That's just some random girl, no mole, not the same shaped/sized face,, nothing of her features except brown hair. How embarrassing.

Ugghh, I can't wait until this retro fad is over. Or at least far enough into the future until retro is something other than 8 & 16 bit games. If i didn't despise the look of those games, I'd give it a try. Oh well, if it's a 10/10, i may have to give in, but not otherwise.

Can't stand the look of it especially the color palette. Maybe if they made a demo, I'd try it, but the RNG nature of the game turns me off more than the timers. All of the negatives together, however, is a hard pass.

@NotoriousWhiz that was for an optional part of the game in bravely default, those potions that gave u extra moves or whatever (i never used a single 1, i was maxed at 3 the entire 200 hrs i put into the game).

@Truegamer79 metal gear solid 1 does something similar on a certain boss.

I'm not interested in remasters. I'd love a remake of eternal darkness, even exactly the same with new graphics, but I've already played games i like enough times, & i have too much a backlog to replay older games. If others would buy it, there's no reason it shouldn't be remastered, IMO, tho.

@setezerocinco for now. That will end eventually, too. Read the article from a former Nintendo employee on this site that even confirms this (tho we didn't need that verification, we know it will happen).

Sony's not better in terms of censorship, so i guess it depends what u value when "trusting" any of these companies (I don't trust any of them)... Also, Sony was about to do the exact same thing, so trust all u want. Nintendo still may change it's mind, FWIW. I am not biased towards any of them, as i love all the big 3 & get all 3 each generation (taking longer this time, obviously, unless you want to pay at least double, which i will never do).

@HolyGeez03 i like everything that supported 3d better on 3ds. I would have loved steamworld quest on 3ds, myself.

rant (not meant as a response to this comment, but to explain why i said that): Cancel culture is the same way. Not getting into a political debate on this site, but everyone calls everything "cancelling" today, which makes it mean less in the instances it truly applies. Same w "racism", so It's not an issue with only 1 political side. The masses see something that's effective, then use it for everything, so it loses it's impact.

@Mando44646 they're most likely talking about the charts in game that track 2 weeks of sales. I can see it doing better for 2 weeks, ofc it wouldn't be near, any of those games' release, or overall.

@Dualmask agreed. Even if i got on sale, u have to invest so much time into these games, i think I'll pass. My backlog is already filled w great games. Too bad.

@MattAllsopp i always do that, & thankfully didn't this time. I can't believe there are no reviews for this game on metacritic until this one. That may be intentional, because they knew it wouldn't fare well in reviews, so they didn't provide advance copies. That's speculation, ofc, but it always makes me wonder, just like when companies have embargoes where reviews can't be released before the game, or they don't provide specific console versions to any review outlets (cough, cyberpunk2077, cough). Those things always make me wait, these days. I've learned too many lessons the hard way, & supported way too many crap games.

@anynamereally Nintendo 1st party games don't lack polish, usually, FWIW.

@RegalSin i have never understood how anyone focuses on things like this, over all the other aspects of a game. If there were 0 of my race, or a specific character in a game seemed to be a caricature of my race... if the game is great, there's no way that's what i would be able to focus on. I don't even think about, or pay attention to, what race the characters are in a game (from the mid 80's through present day). To each his own, i guess.

I remember hating it originally, on the Wii version. Since then, i guess I got used to it, because i had honestly forgotten that i didn't like it until reading this article. At this point, i think it needs to stay that way, tho, unless there's a reboot. As long as there's any relation to the 1st 3 titles, those games need to remain mostly British. If they found some other world, or something, maybe different accents would fit, but i hate too much change, especially in a series I've gotten used to (looking at YOU Final Fantasy gameplay...😡😡😡).

Doesn't make me want to play it again. Add some DLC, & I'll think about it. Still disappointed i bought the digital version.😔

One is a remake & this is a remaster. Ofc the remake will look better...

Omg, i hate when people talk about revenue. It means nothing. How much profit it made would be interesting, but this confuses so many people, especially regarding sports like UFC.

@burninmylight to be fair, that's how any organization is. The people who put up the money to make the sport, or business, etc possible, make the lion's share. It wouldn't exist without them. Also,, revenue isn't profit. I wish people who criticize "big sports" (like UFC) would understand the difference (not saying u don't, but most who bring up revenue when talking about player/fighter pay do not).

@PhhhCough how can you not count practices? That's 95% of what the players do...

@ThomasBW84 Those '85 Bears, tho. The only undefeated team besides my '72 Dolphins (probably a worse team over history than the Bears, tho😥).
