Re: Review: Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising - Tedious Side Quests Mar This Prequel's Metroidvania Charm

I hate when they remove turn based combat from series' rooted in it, & i kinda get happy when games they do this in fail, if I'm honest (but that makes me then feel bad, because i don't want delight on others' failure). Everyone thinks because FFVII Remake did it, they can do it, too (tho, i bought that on release day & refuse to play through it, once i saw it wasn't turn based at all. It's what made me learn my lesson about buying digital games from franchises I love... Until i did it again with Metroid dread & got burned again 🤣).

Re: Poll: Budget Line Box Art - Is It 'Fine', Or A Sin Against All That Is Good And Pure?

I don't care that much, because i have never displayed my collection of games. I also always sold games fo be able to afford new ones, so i never kept games for more than 2 generations. So, it doesn't affect me, that much. I prefer the original ones, but if the greatest hit is all that's available, it will still play the same. I always kept my games in a drawer so the cases & artwork would be in mint condition when i went to sell them.

Re: Vesper: Zero Light Edition Looks Like The Perfect Game For Switch OLED

Games always sell for the max amount publishers think they can get away with, with a few exceptions. When i see a $7.99 game, i don't bother looking into it further, because i know it will be barebones on either content, look horrendous, or there's some catch. There has never been a great game for that cheap (a game I'd be mad i missed if i never played a $7.99 or less game). A short hike was ok, but i only kept playing it because i paid for it already. I would be fine never having played it & keeping ny money, personally. These games are certainly not for me.

Re: Review In Progress: Nintendo Switch Sports - Familiar Fun With Friends, But Little More

I wouldn't spend more than 30 mins with wii sports, not into motion controls, or multiplayer games, really. That came with the console, though. This is a full retail release, i think (?), so there's no way I'd ever buy this. To each his own. A part of me wants others to have fun & I'm glad they're making something people like, but the other side of me wants it to do poorly so they'll quit wasting resources on this junk & invest in more games that i like. 😝

Re: Nintendo Shares Advice For Those Suffering Switch Battery Issues

twztid13

@Donutman that's great. I used to use my 3ds plugged in all the time, cuz i only game at home anyways, so i didn't care, but it screwed that battery up, too, so it won't stay charged 20 r 30 mins, now, but it had a crap battery since day 1, sadly. I want to replace it, but the Nintendo store is out of stock, so I'm waiting on them to replenish. It never mattered to me before, but in the future i will make sure to treat the battery better in systems like that, in case i ever want to sell them. My phone batteries do great, because i know how to treat the batteries properly, but i just didn't think it would ever matter on those systems. It doesn't, really, but it would be nice not to be tethered to an outlet around the house sometimes, actually.

Re: File Sizes For Multiple Upcoming Switch Releases Seemingly Revealed

@OrtadragoonX that was my point. To claim Nintendo is a master of compression because games are up to 100GB, doesn't make sense, when none of those games would be on switch. Sony is actually doing great on compression, too, i hear, but it's still not apples to apples comparison, because Nintendo isn't compressing things in a manner we can compare to others, since all their games are much smaller due to other reasons, not necessarily compression.

Re: Star Fox Character Designer Wants Nintendo To Port The Wii U Entry To Switch

twztid13

@Isaix I've thought about it but star fox, Xenoblade Chronicles x & paper Mario color splash are the main games i still want to play. I keep holding out hope those will be ported eventually, but if not i may have to give in eventually. I would welcome a new star fox, but there's no guarantee it would be any better, & if it isn't already in development, it would take MUCH longer to come to out than a port.

Also, they may think the reason it sold horribly was the install base, & that switch install base may give it a better chance. I know they've used that rationale with other wii u games, anyways.
