Re: PSA: Switch 2's "GameChat Welcome Offer" Ends This Month, Try It Out For Free While You Still Can

I use GameChat waaay more than I thought I would. Sure the quality isn't that great, but the simplicity and ease of use make it really enticing imo. I'm in a long distance relationship and my gf watches me play games through it all the time. We also play single player games in sync and help each other through puzzles etc.

In terms of subscription, I think Nintendo's plans are the least egregious in gaming. Most people are already paying for at least the minimum tier because it's barely a dent on the wallet and has a lot of extras without even counting GameChat

Re: Forget Scratched Screens And Joy-Con Problems, "Warp-Gate" Is The New Nintendo Switch Issue

For all we know this person has either sat or stood on the console by mistake. I've played docked for hours and the console doesn't get excessively hot - certainly not hot enough to warp metal. Given it's housed in a dock that KEEPS IT STRAIGHT, where are the pictures of the warped dock?

I don't know what to think. I mean if it's a genuine issue then why doesn't the person just contact Nintendo support, instead trying to create some sort of epidemic online? This filters through to sites like Nintendolife because of slow news days and suddenly it becomes a thing. This is a really negative aspect of the internet.

Of course there is bound to be negative things said about this game, but I think it has had quite a striking visual upgrade, up there with Final Fantasy X. I don't think changing the core game mechanics is high on any HD remake's agenda. Also, the more you integrate the GamePad, the less likely it is that you'd be able to play the game solely on the controller. It's a situation I feel a lot of Wii U developers are facing right now. It seems to me the number one thing people love about the GamePad is the ability to use it as a portable device.
