Re: Poll: Which Is Your Favourite Nintendo 64 Console Variant?

superguy123

Used to own the charchoal one but now own the cool ice blue varient. And 2 controllers.

Together with 20 games was the best deal i made in my life for 20 euro's.

2 times mario 64 (lol)
Banjo-kazooie.
Dk 64
Kart 64
Oot
Jet force gemini
And some other classics i cant remember, bundled with the usual EA fifa shovelware

Re: Rumour: Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes Will Be Revealed For Switch Next Month

superguy123

@westman98 prob comes down to the animation variety then, the pokemon just seem more alive.

But tbh to be expected.
This is prob the engine where mp4 was based off, before it got cancelled.

This game is obv easy to recap a failed project and this project in terms of monetary gains.

Cheaper to make, easy to make money off as its the pkmn ip.

Investment could be done solely on animations and the world around it in i'd assume 2 - 3yrs of dev time.

So yeah bandai would want to make the game look very appealing

Re: Talking Point: Are You A Player Or Collector?

superguy123

I guess i'm the player.

But the staggering amount of games i own makes me a collector.

Own over 80 games on the switch, and 100%ed about 60 of em so far.

Ranging from witcher 3, to diablo to splatoon to smash, to octopath to twewy, the zelda's and the mario's.

I dont however buy every game, skipped pikmin, 2d mario, tropical freeze and others for diverse reasons, such as difficulty being to low, game not interesting me or owning it on wii u.

I'd say square, nintendo and bandai are the 3 devs / publishers i own most games from.

One buyers regret being snake pass, not cause of it being bad but cause it didnt hook me persee

Re: Kemco's Black Friday Sales Ends Today, Big RPG Savings Across Switch And 3DS

superguy123

@AbejaGrande what a great rebuttal, that really stung, ouch. oof. kablam!

calling me a douche doesnt change the definition of to promote and that in the end you were simply wrong.

go grab a dictionary and read. might proof beneficial for your feeble mind to advance and prosper and even be able to not try and disproof something without doing some research. it took me less than 10 seconds to look up this definition of 'to promote'

Re: Kemco's Black Friday Sales Ends Today, Big RPG Savings Across Switch And 3DS

superguy123

@AbejaGrande

to promote

Examples include contests, coupons, freebies, loss leaders, point of purchase displays, premiums, prizes, product samples, and rebates. Sales promotions can be directed at either the customer, sales staff, or distribution channel members (such as retailers).

there are different definitions for what it means to promote, advancing in rank, awareness and yes even bringing attention to sales

Re: Nintendo's Net Profits Reached $1bn In The Last Quarter, A 541% Rise Year-On-Year

superguy123

Both kimishima and furukawa hail from the banking world and pokemon company.

Even Iwata had close ties to the pkmn company so that is a non argument tbh.

Furukawa is extending the line Iwata and kimishima said.

We will not know what this president is up to fully yet. Prob not next gen either as they will simply go for switch 2.

The generation after that is what will make a true deciding factor.

Also to suggest a game company wouldnt produce games or slow down on purpose is silly.

Maybe in release scedule they might. But they will always work on games as that is their income.

Its bad business if you stop production cause of a few good years which can turn around fast.

Suggesting that shows that no one here knows business or game design even.

Gotta remember.

A ton of ps5 games are prob alrdy ready or close to being rdy.
A pandemic wont stop what has alrdy been worked on for years, most projects from sony and Microsoft probs Alrdy finished a few months backs and are being worked on till release for now.

Nintendo has been in the middle of restarting development on some franchises and should be close to finishing up on others while being in the middle of others.

Zelda and mario come to mind on being close to having their sequel released.

Optimizing games should still be possible if we understand nintendo' s and Microsofts wording.

What comes after is what will really affect development. Building an engine is impossible to do now. Level design and enemy design / animations will have slowed down heavily for example as it will have to go through several members of a team. So lots of delay in those kinds of things

Edit: oops that was a bit long i guess

Re: Soapbox: There's No Shame In Playing On Easy, Even If You're A Pro

superguy123

Tbh i always go for the hardest difficulty in games, thats where my fun is.

But yh i love to spend hours getting better and if you dont have the time, easy mode is the way to go.

Looking at it from a reviewers perspective.
Often times you come across a game you dont like. Or its just objectively bad.
Dont want to spend hours through a ***** game your gonna give a 1-5 score anyways so yh easy mode is again good for that.

Dont get the story part though.
There has not been a story in gaming that is atleast better than a b-film smth like sharknado.
Stupid fun but not rly smth you wanna dissect as a 'story'

And didnt even mention ppl who cant make certain tricky moves in quick succesion due to disability/ injury.
Again easy mode helps with that.

Re: Poll: No, Really, What Was Nintendo's Worst Year?

superguy123

@charlesdjones1

hmm might have read the question wrong.
figured it was based on first party output not persee third party's.

agree with you on the n64 being the worst case for nintendo in terms of third party support.

only now are they gaining support back, even from company's who never supported nintendo in the first place, or havnt since the ds times, really.

gotta add though, kinda sour square supported microsoft with full kh before nintendo, esp microsoft getting dq now, which is great for them, but a big slap in the face from square
wouldve figured we gotten full square support by now, guess not

Re: Nintendo's Directors Earn A Relatively Modest Wage Compared To Other Industry Execs

superguy123

Atleast we can feel good about liking nintendo and how they handle their staff.

No lay-offs
No overpaid ceo's.
No crunch

Can Also look at sakurai who bought tons of equipment for ssbu dlc team in these times.

Can probs see the same thing happen within nintendo.

Sure it can be deducted as had returns and they would pay significantly less than normal consumers.

But it still speaks of how they want to provide the best enviroment for their employees.

Re: Metacritic Implements 36-Hour Delay On User Reviews, To Ensure "Gamers Have Time To Play"

superguy123

Using a review site that is funded by several high profile devs and even has their game adverts on.

Yh no thanks not rly reading reviews anyways from either critic or user on big profile high funded games .

Cant say for all sites.
But running an advert on your site for a game your review? smells like an unhonest review anyways.

Critics usually also look for different things in a game.

Tlou2 and paper mario would be more heavily judged on their story and less on gameplay. While 3d mario and splatoon would for me be heavyier judged on their gameplay. As that is how developers intended the games made

Presentation is Nice and all.
But i can still enjoy a fun gameplay, great story and lesser quality Presentation.

But even if a game has the best possible presentation ever, if the game isnt fun to play or doesnt have an interest story would be a waste nonetheless

Re: Nintendo President Apologises For Joy-Con Drift, Can't Comment Further Due To Ongoing Lawsuit

superguy123

@Dethmunk @grot

Well obv the % is untrue and said to drive home a point.

But it is suspicious that everyone i know all has had their joycons drift.

Sure can keep sending em back.
But after 3 times? Yh f that.

Never had problems with any nintendo system up till this point.

Snes, n64, Cube, wii.
Gb, gbc, gba, ds, 3ds.

Note that i left out nes and wii u.
Wasnt alive during the nes era so cant confirm that.

But the Wii u was the first sign of me seeing how nintendo makes lesser quality products.

It might not be on purpose the way they brought out the joycons.

But not really offering a solution for them after a high failure rate in my experiences and in my friend circle is bad.

And it all comes down to a design flaw.

Re: Guide: How To Fix A Drifting Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

superguy123

Have had 0 problems with the split pad pro and all 3 limited edition pro controllers (splatoon, xenoblade and smash).

Have not used my joycons ever since i got em back for the third time and drifting again within a week.

Happy to say this isnt as widespread as the joycons.

Also work well on pc

Re: Talking Point: Is EA's Switch Strategy Lazy, Or Simply Common Sense?

superguy123

you know its bad when bethesda has way more support for the switch than ea has.

tbh idc anyways, i dont buy any EA game anymore on any platform, havnt done so for years, and they havnt rly given me a reason to do so tbh.

launching mass effect 3 for full price to later release a complete trilogy same price on other consoles? gee i wonder why EA doesnt get nintendo fan support
