Ever since the 3DS eShop, in particular, KEMCO has been a prolific publisher on Nintendo's download stores. It's continued this run on Switch, with a varied mix of titles but a particularly heavy focus on RPGs, which is undoubtedly welcome for fans of the genre. The next is now confirmed for the eShop (along with PlayStation and Xbox) - Infinite Links arrives on 12th May priced at $14.99USD (and regional equivalents), with a 10% pre-order discount.
Released on mobile in October 2021, to positive user reviews, it seems to have decent depth and mechanics to utilise through its adventure. Some of the official blurb for the game is below:
Talismans are magical items that contain great power, even with some that can grant any desire. Kronos, a boy training as a wizard, and Serene, who consider one another as siblings, become enveloped in a Talisman conspiracy. Will they be able to save themselves and the world from the threatening danger?
Equip Talismans to the Skill Board to acquire skills and fatal moves to turn the tides in turn-based battles. Forging and upgrading weapons, armor and Talismans from materials will grant you additional advantages. There are also strategic elements with battle formations and traps, and not to mention the variety of quests, arena and monster achievements that await as challenges!
Are you ready to save the world once more in an EXE-CREATE RPG? If so there's not long to wait.

Honest question, please don't hate me, but does anyone actually buy these? They just seem overpriced for what they are.
Kemco, huh? Gee, I wonder why nobody ever talks about them or their games...
@Kiz3000
Price point I feel is fine. The problem is the quality and quantity of jrpgs that they've been releasing. It's either fine, passable or decent, but most prefer to call them dull, basic and unmemorable.
And yeah, they all look nearly identical. Some games change up certain things, but the "new" things always seem odd or out-of-place with the things they didn't change.
Welcome to KemcoLife - bringing you the latest releases and sales news, exclusively for Kemco games. Please battle it out in the comments, turnbased style of course.
Jeez another?!
Come on guys it’s been at least 2 days since your last Kemco loving post. Seriously. Nobody reads the articles, nobody buys their games.
@Erigen I suppose that is my point. The price point would be fine IF they were all truly unique and memorable RPGs. As it stands they all seem pretty copy and paste and probably worth no more than £6 each, i.e. half the price they currently are.
@Kiz3000 they all go on my wishlist but consistently get elbowed out by higher priorities even by default. Then again, we're talking Switch here; I have Chronus Arc on 3DS and what I've played thereof has been pretty neat, and I also have a whole bunch for Android from an an old Humble Bundle.😄
@Moonsorrow999 I don't care about "leaks" and "rumours" but that doesn't stop NL from posting them or other visitors from discussing them. So how are actual video game release/discount news possibly any worse?
Nobody cares but.. you’ll miss them when they’re gone..
@Kiz3000
They can't release their games at those prices, cause doing so would be an admission from themselves that their products are cheap throw-aways.
This looks like it's made with RPG Maker.

Awesome. I can't wait to see a test before NL spams discounts about this game. I'm sure Ryan (aka THE Kemco lover) will be delighted to spend dozens of hours testing this.
@Moonsorrow999 I'm the last person you'd catch describing a fan newsblog as a good site for quality journalism, and I've commented on NL's own crap in that regard more than once. Which is, however, why I also give them due credit for doing what a video game newsblog is supposed to do and find it perplexing that these of all examples are painted in a negative light just because someone is personally tired of seeing a certain publisher in the subject.
Infinite Links but no Zeldas 😭
@Kiz3000 I have about 7-8 kemco old school rpg's. I really like them. I got half of them on sale. Regular price these games are not even $15. I look forward to every release.. if it seems like I'd be interested, I'll get it.
@sanderev I really like the kemco rpgs. Kemco/EXE Create are good for the money, and I seem to like them.
....and looks igual of the last 20 kemko games
@Moonsorrow999 @Erigen they're decent old school rpgs if you ask me. I like the 7 or 8 I have. Not all are perfect but they've gotten better
@BananaMetallurgica which is why I like them
Just watched the trailer. I'll pre-order this one. Looks like another good one. The last 4-5 games have been better than previous.
I like some of the Kemco RPGs and have bought a couple. They are not amazing in any way but not terrible either. They can't compete with xenoblade or fire emblem but I'd rather play them than most of the new stuff from square/enix.
I wanna be honest.
I thought "Infinite Links" was gonna be a Golf RPG 😅
Remember when Kemco used to make games that weren't just RPGs?
I personally like them. Not a lot of turn-based RPGs are coming out, so they scratch that itch, no matter what for me. And that's a small win I'm going to celebrate. ÷).
@thebottomtext Now, I heavily dislike playing turn based rpgs (unless they're a strategy/tactics game a la Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics), but I have to disagree with the thought they they're poorly designed games from a gameplay sense. It's obvious you prefer games where you have full control of the character at all times, so the way these games are designed don't mesh with your personal play style.
Turn based rpgs are often designed around the fact that you WILL be getting hit. Some have evasion/dodge mechanics (usually determined by a percentage chance which can be raised by your equipment), others don't. These sorts of games are usually a big numbers game as you choose equipment, weapons, and battle abilities to suit the situation you're in. There's lots of menuing to make sure you're optimally stacked for any occasion and lots of players like this sort of stuff.
On top of that, there are typically various classes to help you out. There can be a tank like class that doesn't deal much damage but may have taunt abilities to attract aggro. Healers are very important because you're going to be taking damage a lot, and they often have a "heal one person" ability that heals loads, and a heal party ability that heals everyone but not as much as a targeted heal. These are just basic ideas, but shows that there's usually constant decision making in a well made RPG.
As in chess it is unavoidable to lose pieces, some genres of games make it impossible to avoid taking damage (such as the aforementioned strategy games). Taking damage in and of itself isn't a bad thing, as in most games hp is often just another resource for you to manage. It's how the rest of the game is designed around the mechanic and turn based RPGs have really mastered the craft over countless iterations.
@Kiz3000 I believe there are at least two good KEMCO games: Marenian Tavern Story and Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom.
They both feature a combat + gather materials + run a business kind of gameplay loop (Kind of like Atelier games, but way more simple) and most of these elements are very simplified (combat is basically just tapping A), but it's exactly what I was looking for and I like the old school graphical style. I was surprised to find Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom allows you to pick a character name, class, and religion (with buffs) while also allowing you to create your combat party by choosing their individual names, classes, and genders.
All the other KEMCO games just look way too similar to one another and they don't really add anything new as far as gameplay or mechanics from what I can tell. I don't think they're terrible, they're just way too similar to each other and it becomes a collection of what looks like the same KEMCO game again and again.
Always have a hate with new Kemco games.
I played a few mobile ones, always have a male lead with all girls and sometimes another guy (i wouldn't mind this if it wasn't for the fact it happens very often). Not to mention that I was able to fly through battles like butter at the beginning of the games. Not to mention some of the mouth moving animation seem like someone took the artist art and edit it to move themselves.
Just one download away on the mobile games they have will probably make you never want to see the name Kemco again, I won't be surprised if they run a sweat shop for how much games they push out.
I haven't had any experience of their console games, (so if I'm wrong about console, meh, still a bad company) because I already dislike them and honestly don't care to see them improve.
@Uska I think it's interesting to know what factors make other gamers go so far as to say they "hate" a game company.
Even though recent AAA JRPGs feature male leads with mostly female supporting roles, it's interesting to hear you mention it as if it's exclusive to Kemco games, despite some Kemco games featuring female lead roles. I guess you didn't play those games.
Additionally, even though the majority of Kemco games are $15 or under, it's interesting to me that witnessing low budget mouth animations and easy combat in the beginning of the game are all enough for you to wish the company never succeeds.
What an interesting take, thank you for sharing!
@Astral-Grain oh just because of the roles didn't make me just hate the games, it's been 3 years since I last played any Kemco games, so I haven't really looked into any of the female leads.
The games I have played are boring, but I didn't mention it because it was a given by the other comments that called their games boring, it was the same for me but I didn't want to repeat and make my comment any longer.
Its quite weird for you to say "wish the company never succeeds." When I said was "honestly don't care to see them improve." Which is not the same, wishing and not caring are two different things.
The recent AAA games are fine since not all of their games are making all their games party members structure the same almost every single game they make.
The animation and combat, if someone going to try its fine and all but if it doesn't look right don't add it, practice some more till it doesn't look like a puppet. The combat needs a challenge or it will be a snooze fest.
Thanks for informing about the female Leads though, nice to know.
While they do indeed release a million cookie cutter copy paste RPG Maker games, eeeeevery once in a while something good comes out. This is probably another CCCPRPGMRPG, but something like Tavern Story is pretty cool.
This may have been pointed out before in a article/comment that I didn't read, but is it a coincidence that EXE-CREATE looks a lot like the word 'excrete'?
"It's continued this run on Switch, with a varied mix of titles but a particularly heavy focus on RPGs, which is undoubtedly welcome for fans of the genre."
I dunno...I'm not sure I'd say "undoubtedly." Or "welcome."
@Kiz3000 when and only when they get released physically either in Japan or by lrg
@Drac_Mazoku I buy them all, too.
