Re: The SNES Classic Is The UK's King Of The Micro-Consoles

The SNES mini and Game and Watch were good consoles at launch, but the hacking community has made them brilliant consoles. Perfect form factor and great emulation. I would love to see an updated GBA console with backwards compatibility with GB/GBC games, until then I’ll be playing them on my 3DS

Re: Best Of 2020: There's No Shame In Playing On Easy, Even If You're A Pro

Problem is they make games too long nowadays. I always play the Assassin’s Creed games on easy just to enjoy the story. I hate to sound like Crankey Kong, but whilst games were harder in the old days, that was because they mostly had only a dozen levels before you started again at the beginning, so needed difficulty for the pacing.

Re: Take A Look At This Neat Visualisation Of Nintendo's Console Sales

I’ve got them all and they all saw a good amount of love in their day. Whilst disappointing that more people didn’t get to enjoy the highlights from the GameCube and WiiU, it didn’t feel like we missed out on any games because of their poor sales. Played both Twilight Princess and BOTW on the OG systems and was pleased Nintendo did the right thing in continuing to release those as promised.

Re: In 2020, Just Dance Was As Popular As Watch Dogs And Mario Kart 8 Sold More Than In 2019

@Silly_G for a bit of nostalgia I booted up Mario Kart Double Dash the other day and it was impossible to control. You don’t notice it at the time, but they’ve really updated the slide mechanic. So no chance of an All-stars version as the older games don’t stand the test of time (except for the SNES version, I’ve put so many hours into that muscle memory takes over).

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Games Of 2020

I've no complaints with the ordering, but it does strike me as odd that the review scores are a bit of a mixed bag (i.e. I would have expected the top 10 to be 9s and 10s rather than 8s). Just picked up Horace for £1 and looking forward to having a blast with that, but see it is languishing in #29th place despite the gushing review.
EDIT: just noticed it's sorted by user scores, what do we know!

Re: Talking Point: Saber Interactive's Latest Witcher 3 Update Sets A New Standard For Switch Ports

This is the first game I’ve triple dipped to buy. Originally bought it on a Steam sale, but quickly found my PC wasn’t good enough. Then picked it up for PS4 and completed the main game. Currently playing through the DLC on the Switch. Absolutely love this game. Managed to get it on sale each time, goes to show reasonable pricing for games can ultimately be more profitable for developers.

I want to go all digital this generation, but Witcher 3 for £43-£45 physical or £49.99 for digitial is pushing my determination. Pretty much everything else I’ve got so far is with the vouchers. Agggggh!!!
