Update (Fri 11th Feb, 2022): The deal has now changed, with that SWNEXTDAY code now reducing the game's new and increased £44.99 price to £39.99.
Amazingly, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is already available for an absolute steal in the UK on launch day, with one retailer dropping the product's price down to just £34.99.
The retailer in question is Currys, which recently confirmed that Legends: Arceus has just become its most pre-ordered game of all time. Perhaps the new, super-low price point is in celebration of this fact – but it doesn't matter why, just get on this deal while it's still live!
Make sure you enter code SWNEXTDAY at checkout to knock the item's £39.99 price down to £34.99. [UPDATE: Pricing has now changed, see below]:

That's quite the bargain for a major Nintendo release on day one. Let us know if you manage to grab a copy with a comment below, or feel free to read our review to see if the game might be for you.

Gah, I'm an angry American and demand the same!
(Nah, it really doesn't matter, it's a good game that warrants its full price)
You're welcome
Switch games are always 39.99 at launch, anyone paying RRP (without steelbook, other goodies) is deservedly getting robbed for not doing their research. Curry's has been doing this for quite a while, they have a 5 off coupon for Switch games except preorders.
This is clearly a sign that this game will be a flop - the reviews are all negative - and that this is essentially the end of the franchise. R.I.P Pikachu.
Seen this price and went for it - first Pokemon game in a very long time!
I would like to give this game a go.. but at $79.95 here in Australia, I am definitely going to wait a bit. I have got other games to tide me over in the meantime. If it takes a year or two until a price reduction or a deal, then so be it.
Got it for £39.99 this morning... gutted.
I bet the people who pre order there are kinda angry
Damn I've been playing this game about a week since it leaked. I ended up paying $60 for it here in America. Honestly its worth it. Most fun I've had playing a Pokémon game, and I just wanted to show support for it.
Thanks for the tip. Just ordered!
There is absolutely no good reason why anyone should be paying full price for any game these days, wether it be physical or digital. Shop around or wait for an inevitable eshop sale.
I don't know why they can't do this with Pokemon games of much lower value like BD/SP or LG/PE. (not that I would buy the latter at even a low price, but that's me)
@Tantani Nope. It was only £4 more prior to release, and I’m glad to pay that to get to play it at launch.
Wow that's probably what it should cost regardless considering how horribly it's getting reviewed. Makes sense to drop the price immediately since no one is buying it.
To drop the price by over 25% just show's how much the mark up on is on games.
Had to get it at that price. Dunno what's going on with Curry's, I got Metroid Dread for £25 on pre-order last year due to some kind of mix up. £60 for these two games day 1 is a pretty good haul all in all.
If all games were £30-35 I'd buy far more on release. This £70 nonsense Sony are pushing seems even more obscene when you think about it, especially when their games drop in price so quickly. It's a crazy amount to expect people to pay for one game on a regular basis.
I can’t complain. I had two games I got for free in b2g1 deals just to have on hand for trades. Handed them in at GameStop and paid $27 cash for Pokémon.
In the US, Wal Mart charges $50 for $60 games.
@Samasaurus Likewise! Good tip. Let's see how Pokemon's changed since Silver/Gold.
Got mine this morning at Walmart for $54 including tax.
Absolutely went in on this earlier! Don't mind playing a few days late and very excited for when it arrives!
I was going to wait a bit, possibly for my offspring's birthday. But with this discount I've pulled the trigger now, and it'll be an early treat. For me!
Still too expensive this should've been a budget release like all other Pokémon games
I'm lucky enough I bought this game for free. My company gave us a 350 dollar gift card for Christmas.
@Astral-Grain
At Walmart( at least in my area) new games are 50 dollars. Solid discount on day one.
@HamatoYoshi
Thing is switch games never go on sale. At least on the eshop.
@spacemoe505 Gold was my last one too!
Gah, I'm jealous. The cheapest I've seen it here in Germany is €53 (£44).
Thank you for the tip off; just placed my order at Currys
No thanks, wouldn't pay £3.49
Annoying for those of us who pre-ordered at £39 and they refuse to refund the difference…
£40 at Argos. Still a decent price.
@Would_you_kindly Pokemon games were never budget and was always full RRP of the console they was on.
And at this £35 deal price this is the price of a 3DS game anyway
@HeeHo I meant all Pokémon games should be budget priced
@Would_you_kindly haha funny, loooool, OK.
@Samasaurus Lol! Mine was Silver!
@Lordplops For real? Because Nintendo Life gave it a 9 out of 10? You call that a bad review?
NGL UK had the best preorder bonus of all. Maybe Brexit played a part in the bargain price. I used to order a lot of books and games from UK but since Brexit the ridiculous import fees of some EU countries have made it impossible.
I took advantage of this, was always gonna get it for my son in April, but hit the link and went ahead now. Thanks @NintendoLife 😊
This deal and the positive reaction have convinced me to give it a go.
@blindsquarel of course they do!!!
