Of course. That's AAA third party support. The Black Ops II and Ghosts communities are still active on Wii U online. There is no argument from a Nintendo fan's standpoint against having the wider library and the eyes that these games bring.
There really is no sense to the people claiming to be Nintendo fans who don't want it.
@kobashi100 But Call of Duty still has an active online base on both Wii U games, despite newer iterations coming out on other formats. The appetite is there, just the marketing wasn't.
@electrolite77 But, it had the Resident Evil series at its peak, Viewtiful Joe, Eternal Darkness, Beyond Good and Evil, all the same sports games the other consoles got and so on. I'd kill for all that now...
As a Nintendo collector (I start so many of my posts with that line...)
Cex are great for me adding to my Wii collection. They'll often have rare games in which can't be found anywhere else on the high street.
They also offer individual Animal Crossing amiibo cards dirt cheap and show them off in the window - not seen them anywhere else.
Like any retro retailer, you've just got to be lucky and bide your time til a good offer comes along. Nobody is forcing you to buy the NES Mini from them at that price, and if nobody does buy them, the price will come down.
Need to polish off the ones I have remaining before these come out!
Dread to think how much I've spent on them...
So far I've got:
Every Smash Bros amiibo to date Shovel Knight Chibi-Robo All 5 Yarn Yoshi All but four Super Mario Series amiibo All Kirby amiibo but Meta Knight Bowser Skylanders amiibo but not Donkey Kong All four Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary Range All Animal Crossing amiibo All Zelda: BOTW amiibo Both Classic Mario amiibo Wolf Link amiibo Missing four Splatoon amiibo Missing Gold/Silver Mario Missing Gold Bomberman Missing BoxBoy Missing Monster Hunter And got pre-orders in for Alm and Celica.
@rdrunner1178 Doesn't matter. They need to keep em coming. With every game, the Switch's library improves. Great little NeoGeo section they've got going now.
I'm numb to anyone moaning about framerate now. Such a non-issue, emphasised by Playstation and Xbox fans as a desperate rescue for them not having Zelda. It has no impact on fun whatsoever. I'm getting this, and I have the Wii U version.
@russellohh There's been four or five posts max. As someone who works with social media professionally, they should have been counting down every day, posting gameplay teasers, footage of people playing it and so on. It's been so half-a***d.
What a summer that was. Still play it every day, but it needs another viral marketing ploy to kick-start it again. Should have been done when the Johto Pokemon came out.
Clarify something for me please - I haven't got either the Wii U or 3DS retail versions, but am planning to pick them both up soon, because I collect all Nintendo games.
Am I right in thinking one of the two games on Switch eShop is the original Shovel Knight in its entirety, and the other is a prequel?
And the prequel (Specter of Torment) isn't included in the full game (Treasure Trove)?
Ahhhhhhh it's so exciting! Could never get this kind of feeling if I wasn't a Nintendo-only fan...
Right, so I have both colour Switches arriving tomorrow - Zelda Limited Edition, the Zelda Amiibo and Zelda Wii U arrived today. 1-2-Switch will come tomorrow too.
Need the remaining three launch games now, but need them cheaper than the prices above! Dammit, I'm going to have to wait.

Re: Poll: Do You Think Call Of Duty: WWII Will Come To Switch, And Would You Want It If It Did?
@ThatNyteDaez Exactly the sort of opinion which stops Nintendo doing well with third parties.
If you were a Nintendo fan, you'd want every big game there is on your console. Simple as that.

Re: Stardock CEO Says Nintendo Switch Doesn't Need Third Party Support To Succeed
@faint ZombiU's sales were a travesty. Brilliant Wii U launch game.
But I hate the fact that game fans now care more about sales than how good a game is.

Re: Stardock CEO Says Nintendo Switch Doesn't Need Third Party Support To Succeed
Seems very forgetful. Gamecube in particular had a ton of great third-party success.
Re: Here Are The Players Lining Up For NBA Playgrounds On Switch
Good seeing multiformat games coming out on Switch at the same time as the others...
Re: Nintendo Download: 20th April (Europe)
@Mart1ndo Go find some of the games that came out for it. I'm betting you haven't played half of the good ones.
Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch)
Excellent. Glad you judged it on its own merits - after all, new Nintendo players would be adversely effected if you hadn't.
Re: Random: Nintendo Officially States Ganondorf's Last Name
This has the sort of feel of reading the classic Nintendo mags, when often they'd reveal this sort of backstory. Love it.
Re: Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment Wii U And 3DS Release Dates Revealed
@RainbowGazelle The PAL versions will be updated too. Just not sure if it'll be the same date.

Result. Was holding off for a physical release.
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Sells Best on Switch in UK as Yo-kai Watch 2 Endures Poor Launch
@Dakt No. Barely anyone was hyping it as that. Yo-Kai Watch is great, though.
Re: LEGO City: Undercover Sells Best on Switch in UK as Yo-kai Watch 2 Endures Poor Launch
Never saw any promotion for YO-KAI WATCH 2. Barely anything from their official social media streams either.

@TG1 All Axioms, innit
Re: Cars 3: Driven To Win Will Be Screeching Onto Nintendo Switch And Wii U
Perhaps Soul Axiom won't be the last Wii U game after all... and I was so close to a complete collection!

Could happen when the legendaries arrive.
Re: Lego City Undercover Still Has Ridiculous Load Times on Switch
It's a wonderful game. If you're going to skip it because of loading times, you're stupid.
Re: Poll: A Month of Nintendo Switch - Do You Think It's Heading for Success?
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It's hit 2 million worldwide... not bad when the naysayers say it only has one game...

Re: Ubisoft Wants Your Input On Future Nintendo Switch Software Support
@SmaMan Doesn't matter. Nintendo needs them. It's another thing the other consoles won't have over us.

Absolutely everything. All third-party support is needed.
Re: Nintendo of America Reveals a Lovely Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Limited Edition

Hunting down limited editions of everything in Nintendo's history, but not got any of the Fire Emblem ones...
Re: Dolphin Emulator Now Allows Wii Shop Access and Purchases
@UK-Nintendo yep, pretty much everything Nintendo has ever released.
Re: Dolphin Emulator Now Allows Wii Shop Access and Purchases
@NintySnesMan we really are infected with freeloaders, pirates and hackers in 2017.
Re: Dolphin Emulator Now Allows Wii Shop Access and Purchases
My actual, real Wii can access it too. If this causes the closure of the Wii Shop, I'll be fuming, as I'm still collecting the games on there!
Re: Review: Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment (Switch eShop)
@Vriess You can update your game on the console you bought it on to get the extra bits. Not free on Switch.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Is Officially One Of The Best Games Of All Time
@-Green- Impossible for users to have formed a coherent opinion this early on. It's a game that takes weeks, months to play through properly.

Then, I'll go after the pro controller.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
@Kolzig It's not going to be the last Wii U physical game - that's likely to be Axiom Verge.
Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
The only issue for me is the price. I can't drop £60 on a controller.
Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo Switch: Nintendo's Most Important Console Yet
