If you were a Nintendo fan, you'd want every big game there is on your console. Simple as that.

Of course. That's AAA third party support. The Black Ops II and Ghosts communities are still active on Wii U online. There is no argument from a Nintendo fan's standpoint against having the wider library and the eyes that these games bring.

There really is no sense to the people claiming to be Nintendo fans who don't want it.

But I hate the fact that game fans now care more about sales than how good a game is.

@kobashi100 But Call of Duty still has an active online base on both Wii U games, despite newer iterations coming out on other formats. The appetite is there, just the marketing wasn't.

@electrolite77 But, it had the Resident Evil series at its peak, Viewtiful Joe, Eternal Darkness, Beyond Good and Evil, all the same sports games the other consoles got and so on. I'd kill for all that now...

Seems very forgetful. Gamecube in particular had a ton of great third-party success.

Good seeing multiformat games coming out on Switch at the same time as the others...

Excellent. Glad you judged it on its own merits - after all, new Nintendo players would be adversely effected if you hadn't.

This has the sort of feel of reading the classic Nintendo mags, when often they'd reveal this sort of backstory. Love it.

@RainbowGazelle The PAL versions will be updated too. Just not sure if it'll be the same date.

As a Nintendo collector (I start so many of my posts with that line...)

Cex are great for me adding to my Wii collection. They'll often have rare games in which can't be found anywhere else on the high street.

They also offer individual Animal Crossing amiibo cards dirt cheap and show them off in the window - not seen them anywhere else.

Like any retro retailer, you've just got to be lucky and bide your time til a good offer comes along. Nobody is forcing you to buy the NES Mini from them at that price, and if nobody does buy them, the price will come down.

Need to polish off the ones I have remaining before these come out!

@rdrunner1178 Doesn't matter. They need to keep em coming. With every game, the Switch's library improves. Great little NeoGeo section they've got going now.

I'm numb to anyone moaning about framerate now. Such a non-issue, emphasised by Playstation and Xbox fans as a desperate rescue for them not having Zelda. It has no impact on fun whatsoever. I'm getting this, and I have the Wii U version.

@russellohh There's been four or five posts max. As someone who works with social media professionally, they should have been counting down every day, posting gameplay teasers, footage of people playing it and so on. It's been so half-a***d.

Result. Was holding off for a physical release.

@Dakt No. Barely anyone was hyping it as that. Yo-Kai Watch is great, though.

Never saw any promotion for YO-KAI WATCH 2. Barely anything from their official social media streams either.

Need to get back onto Sun and Moon to finish the Pokedex. Got sidetracked with loads of other games since January...

What a summer that was. Still play it every day, but it needs another viral marketing ploy to kick-start it again. Should have been done when the Johto Pokemon came out.

@Vriess You can update your game on the console you bought it on to get the extra bits. Not free on Switch.

Clarify something for me please - I haven't got either the Wii U or 3DS retail versions, but am planning to pick them both up soon, because I collect all Nintendo games.

Am I right in thinking one of the two games on Switch eShop is the original Shovel Knight in its entirety, and the other is a prequel?

And the prequel (Specter of Torment) isn't included in the full game (Treasure Trove)?

@-Green- Impossible for users to have formed a coherent opinion this early on. It's a game that takes weeks, months to play through properly.

Right, so I have both colour Switches arriving tomorrow - Zelda Limited Edition, the Zelda Amiibo and Zelda Wii U arrived today. 1-2-Switch will come tomorrow too.

Need the remaining three launch games now, but need them cheaper than the prices above! Dammit, I'm going to have to wait.

Then, I'll go after the pro controller.

The only issue for me is the price. I can't drop £60 on a controller.
