@Marios-love-child I agree was a shame the WiiU didn't get a proper full-fat 3D Mario game like Galaxy. But there are a lot of games I wish had come to WiiU but I am glad it didn't as it seems to have revived Nintendo.

@vitalemrecords Super Mario 3D World was not a proper 3D Mario as it was an isometric 3D game and not a standard 3D format like the main series. I still think it was a good game but is not anywhere near the same level as odyssey.

Can we just praise Nintendo for releasing free DLC, in a world where almost every game company is trying to take all your money they are still handing out free stuff in a game that had plenty of content to start with.

I still don't know why people get the Linux hacking confused with custom firmware and homebrew. Linux is not going to affect game sales, it just looks like a way for us to get the web browser on the switch and maybe some emulators.

I am happy this hack is making progress but have no need for custom firmware, homebrew hacks.

I have been holding off on getting it for the PS4 on these rumors I hope its true and the port is good. Maybe Spyro will be on its way as well exciting.

I was looking forward to this it looks really interesting and unlike some, I love that it is short I don't have much time to complete every game so to have one that is the length of a movie is great.

However, the mobile price of £5 is what we should be paying I am starting to get tired of the overpriced eshop games. I am starting to get a long list of games I'm waiting for a sale on.

I love some of the games the eshop is getting but I'm intrigued to see how well they are selling.
As in this thread, there seems to be a fair number of people who think the price is too steep and I would agree with them I would happily buy this day 1 at £12 but will look for a sale now as I think will a lot of people.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I am glad someone is calling them out all there titles and videos have been way too clickbaity recently. What happened to just report the news, I would have still clicked on the title euro gamer used. But it is going to be interesting to see what Bandai do with Metroid.

That is a lot of games coming out.

They really need to look at changing the eshop a lot of games are going to get lost in the piles of games.

This is amazing news if we can use the switch as a mini laptop as well it would be amazing, maybe play some emulation on the tv sounds great. This is better than the homebrew launcher which will be used to pirate retail games. it would be very tricky to do that with running Linux on the switch, would just add coll new features.

This sounds awesome, could get me playing more regularly at the moment it's just on odd walks. Might start going for dedicated missions with this though.

The fact that these games keep selling very well makes me think the switch will be the default indie platform. Supported by Nintendo games as well I think I might struggle to find time to play any other system.

I have had enough of the mini consoles. could we not have this effort go into having an official Dreamcast emulator on the switch with the games bundled in and maybe just make a Dreamcast style pro controller?

I don't think there are any EA future games that I am looking forward to.

However old Bioware remastered games would be amazing, and I know people are saying they are not looking at doing remakes. But if they want to bring back mass effect in any way after Andromeda then a remastered trilogy is the only way I can see that happening.

I wonder as they have been pushing the mobile apps to work with the switch if they would be able to make it a chromcast style device and be able to fling media to the switch.

Same as everyone else very surprised to see ARMS, don't think it was a bad game but not a game of the year. Neir seems to have hit almost all of the top tens so was surprised that didn't get in instead.

@JHDK I respectfully disagree. Dopamine greats a very addictive feeling and can be very addictive. Some people are more disposed to this than others and so may need more help. Also most of the time this would be treated like other mental conditions now instead of AA-style meetings which is why it is interesting that they have upgraded game addiction. However, I have found the times a have been addicted t was masking other problems and that would be the case I think for a large junk of the population.

I am glad it is selling well it is an amazing game. I wanted to get FIFA for the switch but there were too many other games that caught my attention. The digital sale looked good for it but I like to have the physical copies with the lack of storage on the switch.

We have the technology but should we use it. The answer was no.

@Nintendoforlife I am not offended at all seems like you have proven our point that this game seems over priced and maybe it should be cheaper as a game 25% cheaper made really good money so there is no need to price it this high.

I am going, to be honest, it looks like an amazing trip but not sure what needs to be documented in a documentary. So I don't think I would back them.

@BezBot I feel the same way for a local multiplayer game I feel the pricing should be encouraging impulse purchasing.

@Crono1973 I think the fact that the switch has a screen and a battery should help answer why it costs more. It is also only just out and the Xbox and ps4 had to have price cuts over the years to reach that price maybe 2019 it will be down in the same price range.

@fortygamer Hell yeah layton would be great, I hope they are working on it. I would also love to see plenty of the other handheld titles like fire emblem and advance wars. Also hopefully the Wolfenstein 2 port is good.

If they can do what they did with BOTW for Pokemon later this year this will be big I also hope they try for a new IP that does not involve waving your arms about. I think this could be an exciting year for the switch.

@fortygamer I think there are a lot of "heavy" games already on the switch, and there will be plenty this year. But in the end, it comes down to taste rather than the size of games there will be plenty of big games just depends if they are what you want to play. I am personally excited to see what comes for the switch I think there will be some big announcements in JAN.

Every time Platinum is making something new you have to get excited looking forward to seeing what it will be.

@thesilverbrick I agree I think the micro-console thing has been a failure. They need to be made in a quantity that they are available to buy without baying way above retail price. We still haven't seen the second batches of the either mini.
I also think they should let the 3ds die and put all efforts behind the switch, there is no need to have multiple pillars of consoles anymore the switch is the future.
The controllers however I have not had a problem with other than all accessories need to be made cheaper as they are way too expensive.

I think this is good news, hopefully, this gets Nintendo to get off their buts and make a great Virtual Console, to try and prevent people moving to a hacked system with working emulators as the switch would be the perfect retro machine on the go.

I did not realize Yooka-Laylee was that much, I think it looks good but definitely waiting for that to go on sale.

its good that the new version is able to support switch, we will just have to be patient while games get optimised for it.

This is awesome, will be a good distraction till there is a harvest moon or animal crossing on the switch.

That is a good result compared to a big PS4 release. hopefully, more people keep picking it up I know I am before I go on holiday. Need something for the flight.

They are making the right noises and the footage looks promising.
Hopefully, it is good and sells well and maybe we can look at madden coming to the switch as well.

I love turn based strategy games and this looks like a refreshing Mario game. Hopefully, this sells well and inspires more creative uses of the Nintendo licenses

As soon as the warranty expires I shall need to get one of these.
However by then there will probably be talk of New Switch maybe with a clear case ( fingers crossed).

This looks great can't wait to be able to play this on the go.

The frustration of not buying things is the perfect level of penalisation. Just can't stop being excited for this game.

I really like the idea of doing all the lobbies and text chat from my phone. As for the voice chat I think we all need to see how it works and if there is a way to mix game audio and headset when docked as the hori adaptor doesn't seem to address that.

It looks like the hint is they are going to port everything that was on the WiiU to the switch. All are great games but a bit disappointing for everyone who owned a WiiU. Hopefully this leads to sequels which would be very exciting.

They look amazing, but make me wonder how easy would it be to do your self as I have done it for many controllers in the past? but I think first investment is pro controller.

Every one wants to see a new F-Zero but now I also really want to see a new 1080 snowboarding as both are great series.

Well deserved it is a cool little game, it also really shows how good the two joycons concept can be to share with a friend.

I never would have thought this would be the case in the first year, but there is too many great looking games. Think I will need to sell a kidney to keep up with buying them all.

That pro controller looks amaze balls. I now need to justify why I need to spend all that money on one hmmm...
