As somebody who grew up with Nintendo and is now 27 I find this a little ridiculous. There are plenty of gamers out there who are not 5 years old. I think we can handle a character like this in Smash Bros.
And besides, Melee had a T rating. I don't really think that title was hurt by that.
I don't mean to sound like a troll here because this all sounds really great, but saying "alongside the likes of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Bayonetta stands out as one of the best ports available on the Wii U" is not a compliment. I have never had a game freeze on me the way Need for Speed did. It easily crashed on me 15 times in 30 hours of gameplay. It once froze on me 4 times in 5 minutes. My frustration with Most Wanted U, coupled with the fact that I just really wanted to play an HD Need for Speed game, is what made me go out and buy a PS3, which at the time was my first ever non-Nintendo console.
I think it's great that the Wii U is getting such a great exclusive like Bayonetta, but nothing ticks me off more than anybody praising Need for Speed: Most Wanted U. That game simply did not work.
Really? Never would have thought that avoiding getting hit by an item was something that I should try to do. I'll think of that strategy the next time I'm in 1st for two and half laps, get nothing but coins from the item boxes, and am completely defenceless against all the shells and boomerangs that are sent my way.
I always knew that reviews for this game were going to be mixed at best, but I'm still really looking forward to it. Killing thousands of enemies as Link without having to worry about a single environmental puzzle? I was sold months ago.
I've always felt the same way. The circle pad just doesn't seem up for such a fast paced game. I'd rather not break my 3DS XL just to play this one game. It's going to be real interesting to see how sales of the 3DS game compare to that of the Wii U version. Smash on Wii U is a system seller. I don't think the same can be said for the 3DS version.
Plus, don't we all just want to play Smash Bros. in HD, finally... It's only been like 8 years since the HD-era started. I don't really see why everybody is so excited to play a version that looks considerably worse than Melee...
Umm, I'm sorry - why exactly would you even have these things open when playing a game?? Maybe that's a stupid question, but I've never used the internet browser or Miiverse. Call me crazy, but I only use my 3DS to play games. There's literally like 10 other devices in the house that I could use to browse the internet with...
I'm just wrapping up my third playthrough of this game. I beat it for the first time shortly after the Wii U launch, and then I went back and started my new game plus the next day. It truly is one of the best games I've ever played.
I now own both a 360 and a PS3 (I owned neither when I bought my Wii U), but I have never felt the urge to go and play the first two games in the series. The story in this game really does stand on its own. The 20 minute comic at the beginning of the game does a fine job of bringing you up to speed.
I'd say this is my second favourite game on the system behind only Tropical Freeze... now that's saying something.
Maybe Nintendo should get around to doing a Nintendo Direct which reveals the release date for Smash Bros for the Wii U.
No offense to Bayonetta 2 as I'm sure it's going to be a solid game, but Smash Bros is Nintendo's bread and butter this holiday season. That's what's going to bring in the money. Announce a release date already.
This is not a surprise, people. Like Thomas said in an article about a week ago: the Wii U works great in conjunction with a second console. That's pretty much the only way you're ever going to get all your bases covered these days.
If this game really means that much to you then go out there and buy a PS3 or 360; they're dirt cheap now, plus it'd open the door up to lots more third-party games as well. Or if you already have a PS4 or X1 then why are you complaining?
I know this is off topic, but please do more videos like this! The articles on this site are always great, but I love actually hearing what the editors have to say.
Also, video reviews would be a welcome addition as well
No game in the series will ever be better than Melee. Its gameplay was fast and perfect and the roster was actually full of characters that the average gamer recognizes.
Considering this game will likely be about 10 hours long (like every other action game I've ever played) I have no idea why it took so long to develop.
Regardless, I am still excited for it, but it's died down a bit. The thing was announced in 2012... jeez this took forever.
Well, it appears that I owe people an apology for all the times I said that a 3DS with a second circle pad will never happen. Clearly I was very wrong lol.
I have no interest in this because I love my XL and don't really plan on getting any more games for it, but to everybody else I hope this news finds you well.
Actually Mario Kart: Super Circuit on the GBA was the first game to have retro courses. It had all the courses from Super Mario Kart, meaning it was the first game in the series to have 32 courses total.
And you just know at some point they're going to do Sonic DLC. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and a course based on Green Hill Zone?? I'm not even a Sonic fan but that still excites me!
Also, who's to say that 2-3 years from now that Nintendo doesn't release Mario Kart 8: 1 Up Edition (or some similar subtitle) which comes with all the DLC already on the disc?? Not like any game has ever done that before (Skyrim comes to mind.)
Don't worry, folks. There is no way that this game doesn't come to the Wii U someday. That'd be about as stupid a decision as putting the letter 'U' at the end of your console name... oh, wait.
But seriously, I think y'all can relax here. I have no doubt that you'll be enjoying this on your Wii U next year
Nintendo and Sony for this guy. For me it's the best of both worlds.
Currently my gaming time is spent 50/50 with the Wii U and PS3. Once the PS4 has a better game library sometime next year I'll likely jump onboard there.
"Oh look, the word 'Ubisoft' appears in the title of this article. Better go rant and rave in the comment section to voice how stupid and evil the company is!! If Rayman Legends were exclusive it would have completely changed the fortunes of the Wii U."
Roawr roawr roawr. And hence the 228 comments on a story about nothing.
Seriously people, the Wii U is doing fine now that it actually has some good games. Just let it go with Ubisoft.
Oh man, such a good comment! You're absolutely right about this and it's certainly eye opening when you have it all listed like that. The Wii U is a Mario and Zelda box. That's pretty much it minus the occasional Kirby or Yoshi game.
And yes I realize that there's Bayonetta 2 and the occasional other title here and there, but the third party games the Wii U gets in a year is outmatched by what the Sony and Microsoft get every few months. And this is why I buy both Nintendo and Sony consoles; it's the only way that I know I can have access to all the games that I want. Nintendo was all I ever needed when I was a kid, but I'm now 27 and I like other gaming experiences too, even though I still love me some Mario Kart.
Why on earth would you buy this for the Wii U if you have a PS4? Graphically you know it's going to look so much better on the PS4, plus it'll be better online. Nintendo isn't exactly known for its stellar online play.

"This decision will no doubt disappoint a small but persistent band of CoD players on Wii U"
But yet by the end of today I'm sure there will be hundreds of angry comments here and in that discussion forum that I see was opened about the subject this morning. Apparently everybody just likes to rant and rave about games that they probably don't even care about.
I said the same thing the other day about Assassin's Creed; if you care about this series you found ways to play it long before the Wii U came along. Why would you all of a sudden stop playing it there just because the last few games were on the Wii U? If you truly care about Advanced Warfare you likely already have a PS4 or X1, so it's not like you'd be buying it on the Wii U anyway.
Unfortunately, considering that the HD Remaster of the GameCube Resident Evil remake is coming to everything but the Wii U I certainly doubt that a sequel to Revelations will ever grace a Nintendo platform. I hope I'm wrong because Revelations on my 3DS was amazing, but just looking at Capcom's recent history I wouldn't get my hopes up.
I remember all too well how disappointed you were when you constantly ran into performance issues with your Wii U copy of Assassin's Creed 3. How many times did that thing freeze on you or else utterly fail to leave the loading screen? Good thing you have a boyfriend who then went out and surprised you with a 360 and a copy of Assassin's Creed 3 that actually works.
It's funny to think that both of us were Nintendo-only gamers until the Wii U came out. Now you spend the vast majority of your time on your 360 and I spend mine on my PS3. Who'd have thought that 3 years ago?
It's hard to argue with this. My girlfriend is certainly a Nintendo customer but she buys all her Assassin's Creed games on her 360. We enjoy our Wii U and play lots of things with "Mario" in the title on that system, but generally everything else she buys for her 360 and I buy for my PS3.
I don't really understand why people are so upset by articles like this. If hardly anybody buys an Assassin's Creed game on the Wii U then why should Ubisoft waste their time and resources making the game for the system. If you care about the Assassin's Creed series then you more than likely bought and played those games on other systems before the Wii U came along because they weren't available for the Wii. If you're one of those customers then why would you all of a sudden start buying the games on the Wii U instead?

Get to the Star Road, beat those levels so that you can access Bowser's Castle, and there you go. 16 minutes. No deaths. No cheating.
Re: B Dasher is Speeding Onto The Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack
