@Proust ok ok, but most of us were playing Zelda Skyward Sword when Skyrim came out 6 years ago! And I agree with @Donutman that once I knew this was coming to switch I held out to be able to play this at home and on the go! Bethesda has done a great job with the switch version.

@gortsi you make no sense. FIFA 18 is still available everywhere for switch. EA didn’t pull it from the shelf. And no, it’s not the most important 3rd party game because it only reaches a niche market.

I don’t get why everyone is so upset. If you want the game... buy the game. If you’re worried about storage, remedy the situation and get yourself a larger micro SD card. As for me, I have a 128gb card so I’m not worried about it. And just think; in the next few years there will probably be 500+gb storage cards and all this talk of storage will be nonsense.

I got my brother the Mario Odyssey bundle for Christmas (it’s a two family household). He saw me playing Mario Odyssey and was bummed that he couldn’t play it on the Wii U. So excited to be able to play multiplayer games on two systems in the same household.

I’ve been reading most of the comments. Seems like most everyone here is upset with the way things are right now. I’ll choose to stay optimistic though. My thinking is that Nintendo has delayed the online service to refine it even more. Think about the way they do that with their games. I am hoping that their online service outshines the competition though. There are obvious issues they need to fix; i.e. voice chat, friend codes, ect. I also wonder when virtual console is coming out, and if that is gonna be part of the online service which is why Nintendo has been so quiet on the subject? Time will tell. In the mean time I am thoroughly enjoying playing games on my switch. And there are still plenty more games coming out before the end of the year as well!

@Exy last time I checked this is a video game website. What do your comments have to do with that?

There should be an option for “tried to get a pre-order but didn’t because it sold out everywhere in 8 minutes, so made plans to stand in line for 8 hours the day before for midnight release on launch day”.

@Drummertist I’m second in line at a Walmart for midnight release. They told me they had at least 20 for sale. And I feel your pain... I waited in line at Best Buy at 3am in 15 degree (Fahrenheit) weather for the NES Edition!

A trailer for Metroid Prime 4 would probably be too much to hope for... and ALSO what about Nintendo Switch my.nintendo Rewards?! Maybe there will also be an update to the OS for switch where you can use your in game captures for screen backgrounds on the main menu.

I got both wallpapers (for my iPhone and my computer) as well as the 3DS theme. I am loving the music for the 3DS theme! September 15th cannot come soon enough!

It's not a big deal. I bought a 128gb card the day I got my switch so I wouldn't have to worry about storage. It was about 44 bucks (US) on sale.

There was nothing wrong with this game except for the title. It probably should have dropped the "Metroid prime" title and should have just been called Federation Force. The game itself was actually very well done for a 3D portable shooter. The coop was a lot of fun too. I feel like most of the "haters" out there probably haven't even played this game. Such a shame. But you're the ones missing out.

Put these games (along with the new features) on a virtual console for the Nintendo switch and there will be less of an issue here.

The lack of a day one launch in North American was its demise here in my opinion. I definitely would have gotten the smaller one over the XL if it was released along side like the rest of the world, but I was ready to upgrade and the XL was my only option. Don't get me wrong though; I do like the XL; but I agree with this writer that because of the low resolution, 3DS games just look better on a smaller screen.

WHO CARES how these companies supporting the system market the switch. All that matters is that Nintendo is getting 3rd party support! I most likely won't buy Fifa (sorry #EA but I don't care for soccer) but Skyrim looks amazing so that will be a day one purchase for me!

@timson72 pretty much the same for me! The only game I own on PS4 is uncharted 4. I played it... and now I'm considering selling it... but I may hold out for Star Wars battlefield 2 unless of course it comes to the switch!

@geox30 exactly how I feel. If it came out for Switch I'd most likely buy it. The switch needs third party support plus it would be nice to play a FPS on the go!

My votes in this poll reflect the fact that there will most likely be no metroid announcement. I really hope I'm wrong though.

One of the main reasons I love Nintendo is because of the metroid franchise. I've owned every metroid game thus far. I've learned not to get my hopes up anymore seeing as how for the last several years I keep hoping for a metroid announcement and don't get it. And even though metroid prime federation force got a lot of criticism I still bought it and played it... thought it was a lot of fun too! I don't care what retro is making anymore.... what I do hope is that there is a studio out there that is reinventing the metroid franchise and that we get some kind of true sequel that the fans want! Hopefully we will hear something by the time E3 has come and gone.

@Rocossa I'm sorry that I'm not as good as you at video games but in my opinion Zelda BOTW is hard enough as is. Maybe I don't have the time to invest like I used to. That all being said.... i don't want to buy the DLC for hard mode... I'm more interested in the new "main quest" that will be coming this holiday season.

You all do realize that the retail dock will cost 90 right? The 90 dollar package includes the charge cable and hdmi cable as well as the dock. The 60 dollar dock that is currently available on nintendo's online store is literally just the dock with no cables and charger.

I'll only be impressed if they finally announce a new metroid. If not, I'll be content, but to say that this will be a big E3 year is definitely a bold statement.
