Re: Poll: Does Nintendo Switch Need Streaming Apps and a Web Browser, Or Is It All About Games?

@invictus4000 exactly what I was thinking! If I want to watch Netflix or something on the go I'll just use my phone. And when I'm home I got 3 other devices that stream all the things listed in this survey (Apple TV, Wii U, and my PS4). When I play the switch I intend to play it as a dedicated gaming device. That being said; it don't think it would hurt to have those apps on it at some point, but I wouldn't want them personally.

Why is everyone so bent by this? If you want to play in Japanese then change the language of the switch and learn Japanese. If you want play in English then change the language of the switch to English. Is it that hard of a concept? And for those who say they want English subtitles over Japanese voices.... why? The Japanese voice acting is, in my opinion, not good. As someone on this thread said it best... it is way over exaggerated.

Re: Ubisoft Confident Switch Can Be A "Bridge" Between Home Consoles And Mobile

@aaronsullivan good point. It may have been taken out of context. I'm just tired of third parties having the excuse that Nintendo consoles are OLNY for kids and then not releasing their greatest potential games for nintendo's consoles. So far what EA and Ubisoft has to offer for Nintendo switch is completely unacceptable. The games they're offering are a total bore and embarrassment. FIFA and just dance? I don't have any friends who buy those games.

@Alternatebuttons I think you are spot on! People forget that Nintendo'a online service was FREE for so long! And now they wanna charge? That's totally justified because from the beginning Microsoft and Sony changed for their online services and it's a high quality service. And now Nintendo is taking what was once free and adding new features and Nintendo (being Nintendo) has to make it a place that is safe and fun for users. This should NOT be free people. Someone has to work to ensure that the service is not only high quality but also safe! Let me ask all you haters this.... do you go to work and forgo your pay because other people expect it to be free? NOPE. So why should we expect a "service" to be free? Someone is working and putting in the hours. Wake up people.

Well said Alex. I value your opinions here in the US! I got my switch pre ordered. I also have the same excitements/concerns. I've been a Nintendo fan my whole life and hope that the launch does well. I'm hoping for more frequent Nintendo directs with more news on upcoming games. My question is this... we got info about the hardware and just a few games; but what are other companies doing? There is a huge silence from EA, Ubisoft, Retro studios, ect.. I honestly feel like Nintendo has something else up their sleeve. I'm really hoping for another "Nintendo direct" before the launch. There almost has to be! They didn't even explain the OS yet! And what about virtual console? They are being super quiet. I can feel something around the corner....
