Not even a Castlevania fan but that Simon and Richter trailer was SO good! And I screamed when K. Rool was announced. Did not expect him at all and my childhood was shedding tears of joy.

If they include Dixie Kong and Rayman then I can die happy. And also prince Sidon but that ain’t gonna happen.

This roster is amazing! I was hoping for Midna but having Daisy, young Link and OoT Ganondorf is enough for me.

My only complaint was that they didn’t even mention Animal Crossing. Other than that, I loved it and I’m not even that big of a Smash fan.

Here are my hopes and dreams: Animal Crossing, Mario Party 11 that ditches the cart, Zelda HD Collection (OoT and MM remasters, TP and WW HD ports and SS HD), Hyrule Warriors DLC with the Champions and Champions “descendants” playable, and a Super Mario 3D World port

Would be cool if they updated the game so the Forest Dweller's Sword and Kite Shield would respawn somewhere in the world.

I'd rather pay $10 for the game and have everything already included in it. I loathe microtransactions and if they're in this game, I won't spend a cent on it.

Hopefully people will stop whining about Salmon Run and map rotation at some point. I personally honk Salmon Run would lose its "magic" if you could just play it whenever the heck you wanted. As for map rotation, like he said, people would probably just keep playing on the same maps they like every time.

@-Green- Get rid of map rotation? You crazy? lol And Salmon Run is locked for a reason. It gives amazing prizes in the form of money, food tickets and ability chunks, so they limit the times you can play it just so people won't be able to farm those thing and take away their value. At least that's how I see it.

I imagine the dualies got buffed due to the lack of power and range, i.e. they ink less so it makes sense they need to ink less to read their special. Weapons that ink a lot like the slosher now need more points to get the special. Why are people saying this is unfair/the end of the world...

I'm thinking it's actually related to the VC. it could be they plan to re-release those consoles for them to work with the Switch, so it really feels like we're playing the games in their original consoles.

@cfgk24 Because the "zelda vibe" is great and taking inspiration from good things isn't bad.

As for the game's length, as it has been pointed out, it's nice having a short adventure once in a while. Not every game has to be 70+ hours long.

People sure like to whine about DLCs... If it's good, extra content at a good price, what's bad about it?

I'm optimistic. Like someone said before, the games will come, and the Switch seems to be an impressive little console. It may not be absolutely as powerful as a xbone, but that's not a huge problem in my eyes.
I just hope the cycle of "third parties don't make games for it so it doesn't sell well, and then third parties don't make games for it because it's not selling well" doesn't repeat itself this time.

If LoZ ever has a female protagonist, I hope it's a character created from start as female, and not just a "female Link". Make Zelda playable, let we play the game from Sheik's perspective. Anything but choosing Link's gender at the start of the game. Link is Link the same way Mario is Mario and Samus is Samus.

Buuut this has already been said a bunch of times. In any case, I'm excited to learn more about BotW princess Zelda.

As someone who doesn't like shooters, I didn't get Splatoon on day one and didn't plan to get it ever. But people were praising it so much, and it looked fun/cute, so I gave it a try. Best decision ever! Can't wait for Splatoon 2.

People saying this will be Nintendo's last console need to calm the eff down. Sheesh.
