Re: Random: Police Respond To Noise Complaint And End Up Playing Smash Bros. Ultimate

@Heavyarms55 While I agree with your overall sentiment, why do we need to know about it? Most "bad" law enforcement officials get disciplined internally. I understand that making a big deal about some of these things on the news helps some people get pressured into making the "right" decision, but I still think it's largely not our business. Not every person that gets shot by a policeman needs to be on the news as the next "example of racism in the system," or whatever agenda they are currently pushing.

Re: Reggie And Geoff Thank Fans For Watching This Year's Game Awards

@Cobalt It’s true. This year, I bought 3-4 games for my Switch and I bought 8 PSONE games for my Japanese PSOne console. BUT DON’T DISAGREE WITH THE CROWD OR YOU’RE A TROLL AMIRITE

I have to say, until Dark Souls and The Messenger came out, I almost sold my Switch! Mario Odyssey was boring and was my first cart, and the sheer amount of shovel-I mean, iPhone releases on the eshop are staggering.

I’m all for more games, but the announcements they chose to reveal at the game awards were baffling.

@Varkster Whoa, that’s a little petty and targeted. If you liked the show, that’s great, but if there are people that didn’t like the show or don’t like a particular game that was announced, they are just as entitled as you are to state why they dislike it. Or, should we just silence everyone that disagrees with you?

Re: The Mobile Phone Equivalent Of Dark Souls Is Making Its Way Across To The Switch

I just watched some gameplay videos. Don’t worry, I’m not gonna spoil, but during the FINAL BOSS the game was giving TOOLTIPS during the fight. Stuff like “farm weapons and gold in side quests.” Didn’t even pertain to the boss.

This is more uninspired garbage that’s trying to copy Dark Souls. Don’t be fooled by mobile cash grabs. There’s nothing in this game that does anything that made Dark Souls fun.

Large, inter-connected world? Nope. Hallway levels, about 1-2 minutes in length. Straight shot to the boss.

Nuanced combat? Nope. Lore? Story?

God, I wish these bad mobile games would go away.

Re: Physical Edition Of Steredenn: Binary Stars Goes On Sale Next Week, Only 3,000 Copies Available

@XenoKidRex I can answer your question, as a fan that bought The Messenger and also plan on buying the limited edition cart that is coming out next year. Short answer, I want to give more money to the devs. Slightly longer answer, eventually, digital game get delisted. So, for games that I really, really enjoy I try to obtain physical copies, wherever reasonable. Sometimes that means buying the digital first, because no announcement of physical was made. Then later, they say hey, here it is, up for grabs.

Right now, the only game that has made me want to do that is The Messenger, Shovel Knight, and Rogue Legacy, though I'm not sure if the latter is getting a physical release on Switch.

So, there you go! That's my take!
