@StefanN
I like the visuals as well but the art style could give the wrong impression that it's only targeted at children.
However it's a very precise fighting game with deep mechanics and was designed with the competitive scene in mind.

Totally enjoyable for casual players aswell.

@Crockin
Don't compare this garbage game to Slap City just kidding

Everyone don't be fooled by the graphics.
I've spend 1000+ hours in Smash Ultimate alone and I still like Slap City way more. I recommend it especially to Melee fans. I'm having a blast every time I play it with friends.

The characters are so damn well designed and fun it's incredible.

If you have friends to play the game with it's a must buy for smash fans imo. The player base is small unfortunately so depending on the region it can be hard to find games online, keep that in mind.

@Anguspuss
Same, I also had three Power A controllers that all started to drift after a short time.
I recommend the Hori Pad Switch controller for those that want a cheap pro controller. Visually nothing special but mine still works fine after many months of use. Works both on PC (I only tested Steam) and Switch.

Nintendo has not invented that art style btw. (Tilt Shift photography / plastic toys)
The one comparison I saw between the overworlds' layouts looking similar is far fetched imo. Idk if there are more examples.
I agree that the characters (escpecially the main character) should look more different.
The end product should be judged.
