If you caught the Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight presentation earlier this month, you'll likely have spotted the adorable looking Cake Bash. It's a party game for up to four players and has you fighting each other as various cake characters – need we say more?
The game's launching on other platforms this October, with the Switch version being pushed back slightly to give it a little more time in the oven. To stop you from going hungry, however, the team has now launched a free demo which is available to check out on the Switch eShop.
We think it all looks pretty great from the footage we've seen so far, but with any multiplayer brawler like this one, the proof's really in the pudding. Make sure to go and give it a try to see if it might be for you.
When the game does launch on Switch – publisher Coatsink tells us it'll arrive before the end of 2020 – it'll be priced at $19.99.
Will you be giving the demo a try? Have you checked it out already? Let us know how you get on with it in the comments below.

It was the main highlight for me at the NL Indie Spotlight presentation as I get very hyped when I saw the switch announcement trailer. I've been following this game for a couple of months by now and I think it is really funny and I'll definitely buy it when it's on sale. It'll be a hectic party game for sure!
Never mind what the game plays like,I just want to eat them.
Finally! A FREE demo!
I've been going broke over here.
I've been waiting to play this again since I had lots of fun with it at EGX Rezzed last year. It's really opened my eyes to how long it takes games to get released!
I downloaded the demo as soon as I saw it and can't wait to buy the full thing
Nice! I wish more of those games would have demos!
I used to have my friends over and introduce them to fun party games (Speedrunners, Ultimate Chicken Horse, Duck Game and Towerfall are favorites) but now with Corona I wish I could just tell them which demos to try.
Looks quite cute and quite fun.
