I'm pretty simple. I just want it to be 1080p/60fps docked or undocked and better draw distances to populate the game worlds more. That's it. If I had to put in a request though, and hear me out first, 3d. That's right. Bring back the no glasses 3d. I loved that about the 3ds and wished it was a staple to all Nintendo games.
In all honesty the plan here by the Pokemon Company is bloody brilliant. Personally I feel this is how DLC should go for most games. Any extra content is just that, extra. You don't need any of it to finish the full game (see Asura's Wrath) and it keeps you invested in the game after you bought it and beaten it. And with there being nearly 1000 pokemon, having some be missing to make you want them more, is marketing genius. Probably totally by accident but, I digress. This was good all round. And for people complaining about the price, each expansion area which functions just like the Wild Area, has new story elements, and brings more pokemon with them, is $15. That's more than acceptable for just new maps in a game (see Call of Duty.) All in all I love what they did here and just like they pointed out in the direct, rather than make a "new" third entry for the game they just put out some DLC. Way less of a hassle for everyone.
I have no reason to buy this. I still have my Wii U version and I have it patched to include the original content. And in all honesty, its better because the story fleshes out the idea more than what we got. I've played through both options and the Japanese version did better for character development. The theme is stay true to yourself and don't change just to seem more appealing. The US version sucked at that. It does bother me that it was censored but I am more upset our content sucked. It wasn't adjust to sell more it was altered to not "upset" people and that's censorship.
This update would be great, if I could play the game. I don't know whose bright idea it was to zoom in on the flashing colors for 10 seconds at a time, per character, but shame on them. The game literally gives me headaches if I play on the TV. If they could patch the zoom in as an option, I might start playing again.
The 25% doesn't seem all that impressive...until you realize that its per chip, and the new SUPER SWITCH with have SIXTEEN CHIPS! Coupled with a SECOND SCREEN and powered by your latent psychic energy, the SUPER SWITCH will blow you away, cause now it has THREE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN POINT THIRTY-FOUR SURROUND SOUND! Granting you the ability to be so immersed in your games that you summon the characters as avatars into the REAL WORLD! All while jumping 173 Double-Decker buses in your ULTRA TRUCK, powered by your SUPER SWITCH! WHICH IS POWERED BY YOU!!!!!
Glad to see so many subscribers to Nintendo Force. It really does keep the legacy of Nintendo Power alive. If you're on the fence I would gladly let people read a few of the early months I have on file. And the cost is dirt cheap. Like $5 every two months at the least.
Sounds like he's taking Pokemon's MO. Start with a nice and simple concept, add variety to please different kinds of people, and include a lot of depth for the hardcore audience to sink their teeth into. This game looks amazing and I hope they can keep the pacing right.
I loved both Cyber Sleuth games and World: Next Order. They are very different types of games though. I'm genuinely interested in what in the world they could do for the next game. Fingers crossed that its not like Metal Gear Survive.
@MeloMan There is an interview with Iwata where he admits that a lot of the competitive moves in Melee are programming gaps. They wanted to make sure Melee launched in time so they (Iwata and Sakurai) ignored them because they thought no one would use them because of how precise you had to be. To them, the games are party games, not competitive fighters. It's why it's my least favorite Smash. Because for all intents and purposes, it's buggy. It's still a fun game.
And for those of you wondering how he came up with Jupiter, watch the Game Theory where they discuss his jumping prowess and how he's not even in the top 3 for the Mushroom Kingdom.
@johnvboy Exactly. For the most part leaks are "leaked" to drive hype and control fan response, as well as measure it. Its done by most companies. Look at the Black Ops 4 leaks. They just turned out to be mostly true and softened the backlash of features getting cut while driving hype for its Battle Royale mode. Its marketing 99% of the time. South Park does an episode on a similar premise; that being that all government conspiracies are a government conspiracy. I just hope that if the rumors are true the story and gameplay branches physically. Like one game goes to Kanto and the other goes to Johto. That would make me want to buy both.
@NIN10DOXD Exactly. Nintendo has done this with several Pokemon fake games after rumors circulated. Pokemon Delta Emerald was the game last time. They just don't want someone to go "Look! There's "this" Pokemon game website so it MUST be real."
I'm calling it. Nintendo made real inklings and octolings. Available for purchase after E3. You raise them, nurture them, then release them...to fight for glory and honor in a real arena where there can only be one winner! Ha...hahahahahahahahahah!
I hack my systems for 3 reasons; 1) to backup and restore save files. why this isn't a feature in 2018 for gaming hardware baffles me to no end 2) custom themes. nothing against the 3ds but only japan gets the really good themes and i can make ones that are really personal to me. I have Gundam, Samus, Pidgeot, and Digimon themes. all with custom sounds and proper background music. 3) I'll be completely honest here, cheating. In single player games only. The only time it is acceptable to cheat in an online game is when you make it fun for everyone. Those people are few and far between. I miss old school cheats like big head mode or moon gravity. Stuff that can make a game zany. Achievements are utterly useless and I'd like the result of doing something in the game to reward me in a satisfying manner, not "Here's 5 points." And, since I'm being honest, infinite gold or upgrade points can be fun once in a while too.
Anyway, that's why I homebrew. I don't agree with pirating. Although, I wish I could paypal developers some money directly so I could download an old game iso and not feel guilty. Cause certain games aren't going to get a rerelease ever and cost WAY too much to buy again physically.
This looks a LOT like a Tales game with music thrown in. Which is actually a compliment coming from me. I like the Tales franchise so this should be good. Kinda wish it played more like the originals or the PS2 games but it still should be good.
I had to send in my limited edition Pikachu 3DS XL because it wouldn't load up anymore. Cost me $100 and I lost all my streetpass data. Everything about the exchange hurt.
What about the fact that the Wii U had like 17, 18 third party games on launch day? Some of which were great upgrades (Batman, Ninja Gaiden 3) and others were new games (CoD Black Ops 2, Darksiders 2).
The problem with some of these were the price. Why would I pay $60 for Mass Effect 3 when I could get the whole trilogy for the same price? I think this is a huge problem Nintendo faced and still faces now. Not only that, the developers themselves seemed to sabotage their support this way. Oh, our game didn't sell well on the new system so we shouldn't support it anymore. Maybe if the price difference wasn't double or more sales would have improved on the new system. I'm looking at you Deus Ex.
I just don't want the "New Nintendo System So Let's Gouge The Price" excuse to ruin sales and chances for more games to get ported.
Zoids is one of my favorite sleeper franchises from my childhood. I remember waking up 6 in the morning to watch the episodes each day. I have all the games that came stateside. Most are RPGs while Battle Legends is a 3D arena game. Hope this comes stateside. Or I can learn Japanese.
Thomas, if you could tell me if save data is transferable from 3DS or Wii U, that'd be great. I've been tweeting at people for weeks, including Namco themselves.

Can we discuss the fact that Nintendo FINALLY fixed the screen scratch issue with this one? The 4 3ds' clam shells would always scratch their own screen after a while. That alone makes me want one.
What about Nintendo's compression techniques? Aren't those industry leading? I remember reading that they compressed most Wii U games down to around four gigs.
I use home brew to back up ALL my save data on all my systems. I've lost several memory cards and games before so now I'm paranoid about it. Just this year I lost my Pokemon Omega Ruby save data after getting Mew. Had a backup thanks to Ninjhax. Reloaded it and everything's fine again. One of the 3 things I use homebrew for. The others being customization options (have really cool Digimon and Gundam custom themes for my 3ds) and the other is cheat codes for when I've beaten a game, so if I ever want to play it again I can just enjoy it.
I'm just here to marvel at modders' ingenuity and skills. Next thing I know are things go crazy. And, as someone who does know a little bit about Idols and such, Chapter 2 here seems kind of out of place. Someone made a really good point about Disney stars who would shoot for something like playboy and how crazy that would seem here. Look at Lindsay Lohan. Granted she had gone completely bonkers by that time.
