I know this is apparently a big problem but it’s pretty alien to me. I had a brief issue once, which was fixed with a quick calibration. My joycon have been almost perfect since launch day.
I don’t think Miyamoto feels undervalued. There comes a point where you’re so wealthy that it really shouldn’t matter if someone else is even wealthier.
Unfortunately it does matter to a lot of people and that’s what keeps folk hungry and unsatisfied.
@Arnold-Kage Absolutely. Public transport (including the stations) and shops in mine. The general point is it’s a very minor inconvenience to be precious about.
I actually think the benefit is relatively minor and some people think it offsets the necessity of distancing. But for all the trouble it is? I’d rather not make other people anxious or get denied entry to some place I wanna go.
With regards to a Mario All Stars 2, I’m actually most interested in Sunshine. It just lacked the expected polish: bad camera, bad pre-rendered cutscenes and some pretty noticeable bugs, such as falling through solid ground.
There’s an opportunity to get it right. Sunshine can be great, if the opportunity to fix its flaws is taken.
I thought I had joycon drift once but I fixed it in a few minutes using the calibration options in the settings. My launch day joycon have been flawless 🤷♂️
I feel the art style is close enough that I get the feel of the game and I know instantly who all the characters are. If it’s entertaining then it’s all good by me. I’m not a purist.
Maybe it’ll eradicate an issue I have which they provided me with a total non-answer to.
There are certain titles that won’t transfer from the system memory to the sd card. The error codes and Nintendo’s nonsense, copy and paste customer service answers, will conclude its your memory card, even though you can transfer other titles without a hitch time after time.
I like Nintendo a lot, however their mobile games haven’t been the best. Mario Run was shallow fun but didn’t generate a lot of revenue, Miitomo was perplexing and not very fun. Mario Kart Tour was bad.
Mobile was meant to compliment their console franchises and raise exposure of their brands, in the hope more people would pick up the consoles.
What mobile actually did was dilute those brands, and arguably tarnished them a little.
Nintendo made the games and Nintendo made the hardware to run the games. If you interfere with their ecosystem to offer a service, and profit from it, then you’re in the wrong. Pretty simple. If Nintendo ain’t getting their cut then your product is whack.
Nintendo aren’t struggling to make money with Switch. Microsoft have done better as far as games consoles go but they’re certainly not struggling overall. I think they’re just fine as they are.
@thesilverbrick I recall his medical issues being detailed a couple of years ago (I think? I have no concept of time) and he still didn’t take any time off. As an individual I do remain quite concerned for him actually.
@rushiosan No, I’d say disregarding him. He’s been a complete disgrace and deserves nothing 😂 . Try harder and please stop commentating from a place of ignorance. Your walkthrough forums aren’t exactly a source for this situation.
@rushiosan I backed the Kickstarter and I’m one of the people who’s went through what I’ve outlined. There’s your testimonial. You’ll find hundreds more on the Kickstarter page.
@rushiosan To be fair, the problem was not fixed quickly: not for everybody. Of their 33099 backers, hundreds, or even thousands, have been waiting days, over a week or are still waiting now. The Kickstarter comments page makes this apparent.
There were problems with the initial backer survey, total fails at the code distribution stage and potentially thousands still waiting even after it was proclaimed to be fixed. There was also an 11 day silence on Platinum’s part while this was happening.
Distribution has been a bit of a clusterf**k. It’s a solid game but people have the right to be seriously irked at this point.
I’m still waiting on 1 of my 2 digital copies of the game, 8 days later. No comment at all from Platinum, or their partner The Yetee. Given that the general release is looming now, they’ve got quite a few ratty backers currently. They’ve had more than performance issues with this project: failures at every possible stage really.
Pikmin 3 had an update that added a fantastic touchscreen centric control scheme. Perfect for handheld. 2 joycon can amply mimic a Wii remote and nunchuk. Pro controller is always a good option too.
Too little and way too late for this title. I’d much rather have Pikmin 4. If it’s a particularly good remaster I’ll consider double dipping but certainly not at full price. A Trilogy pack would make me change my tune.
@Alexface Things change. Switch’s sales momentum is historical. They’ll be keen to keep that going once we’re on the other side of lockdown. BotW 2 might be just the first of several.
EA are an absolute garbage company, profiting off of often low to middling quality games and terrible anti-consumer business practices. They can keep their old ported games to their selves as far as I’m concerned.

Re: Poll: Super Mario 3D All-Stars Is One Week Away - Which Game Will You Play First?
Sunshine. I wasn’t its biggest fan all those years ago. I’m willing to try it again and be open to it 😊
Re: Here's The Resolution Of Each Game In Super Mario 3D All-Stars
Why is Sunshine’s resolution consistent in handheld but Galaxy’s is ‘up to...’?
Re: Soapbox: Astral Chain Was The Game Nintendo Needed Most In Its 2019 Switch Lineup
Not saying 1m copies isn’t a good result but does it really qualify as ‘one of the best selling’ games on Switch? Top 40, sure.
Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Surpass 61 Million, Equalling The Mighty NES
@Kabloop Over a far longer period of time and with less significant competition.
Re: Nintendo Is Aware Of Paper Mario's Game-Breaking Bug, Will Resolve Issues ASAP
@HeroponRiki Agreed. Comparing a Nintendo (1st or 2nd party) game to the glitchy trash many companies routinely release is just delusional.

@Ventilator Some things are more important than a quick buck. Like the prestige and exclusivity of your biggest brand.
Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Run And Gun Games
To parrot others, Cuphead wins. It has a old time vibe that just charms (and moderately alarms), on top of the great gameplay.

Re: Impressive Aerial Shot Of Super Nintendo World's Construction Surfaces Online
This looks like just Mario? Perhaps this is the first of several planned zones? I’m not seeing where the rest of Nintendo fits in there.
