Sunk a good 200hrs into 22 on the Switch, it was a great grind and was quite relaxing to play. Quite looking forward to this, but hope the graphics get a bit of an upgrade

@Ventilator I miss the manuals with games, I still remember the manual for F29 Retaliator for the Atari ST, it was literally a flight manual, you felt like you could've stepped into a real fighter jet and been able to fly it 🤣 it was thicker than the bible!

@Ventilator I get what you mean but back in the 80s and 90s we also got instruction manuals with our games. Loved those days, heading off to the mall, getting a game and then spending the whole bus ride back reading the instructions. But I get what you're saying, they do dumb down games, sometimes you need to be left to your devices to work things out

@CoffeeWithGames I never played and beat it on the N64 as I never had an N64 but I played it on my friends in solo and multiplayer. Loved the game. My issues are just with the controls transferring to the Switch, no one nowadays, that I know of, plays with the analogue sticks switched otherwise they wouldnt have released a video saying how to essentially correct the controls. All FPS games, Doom, Quake, Crysis, have the controls flipped to what Goldeneye has, and granted I understand that it's for the N64 but still, they could easily have given the option.
What I tried with Goldeneye was completely on point, it was just the controls that my beef was with

@mereel I'm 44 and definitely not part of the tiktok generation of petulant kids 🤣 and have lived through most eras of gaming history. All I'm saying is the controls are a bit awkward and you shouldn't have to switch the left and right sticks, seems like a simple fix and would still be in keeping with the game in its classic form.

The controls are awful, shouldn't have to switch sticks to get it working, hope they release a patch...

Watched Josh's play though of this game, can't wait, it looks like a biiiiiig upgrade on all the other SoS games we have on Switch

How does this game compare to No Mans Sky?

Never had an N64 but my mate did, I remember playing multiplayer on it after we arranged cushions, table and whatever we could find to block off the other corners of the screen!! hahaha

Did everyone go down the Community Centre route? Been tempted doing the Corporate route but never have...

I'm always on the look out for a new farm sim and always forget that Stardew Valley is the best and can't be beaten. I will go back to it one of these days and probably start again using the Randomise Community Centre bundles option, will also try to strike up a relationship with someone, never did get THAT involved in a save to do that

played it, completed it and loved it! even if 1.2 fixed EVERYTHING, it still wouldn't entice me back as that ship has sailed. maybe go back to it in a couple years time

I would love a Steam Deck, don't get me wrong, but I got a Switch for the ease of putting a game in and playing it. I don't want to be faffing around with settings and stuff to get it to run, it's the main thing that turned me off PC gaming in the first place. The Switch just works straight out of the box. Besides, this article is about NMS on Switch, which is a miracle that it runs at all, and I take my hat off to the developer for it

The game runs perfectly well on the Switch, I don't have a PC or any other consoles so I'm happy to play this on Switch. Quit whining about fps, jankiness, needing a Switch Pro and all the usual stuff. This is a fantastic port

I think the theme for 2022 was jank, but loveable jank!

@LunarFlame17 picked up Golf Story last month and not really sure what all the fuss was about. Before I got that I was looking forward to Sports Story, will be staying well clear unfortunately because I love the pixel retro graphic style

@Friendly its not new, New Star Manager have already dabbled with this concept. In fact, it looks eerily similar

I was all for this until I played Golf Story, the humour and constant negative feedback from everyone in the story just put me off it. Enjoy the game though folks, it does look good but I'll be passing on this one

Portal or No Mans Sky for me, I loved both Pokémon games but they weren't even in the same ballpark as Portal or NMS

No Mans Sky or Portal should be GOTY for me, both are perfect ports

Having fun with this great game. Very unrealistic with scores and contracts but that's part of the excitement. Winning back to back games 5-4 for a few weeks, why the heck not. The realism of Football Manager was starting to annoy me with it's complicated mechanics

@Nancyboy get it, you'll not be disappointed. The difficulty can be changed to suit you and how you want to play. Apparently you can farm too, it's a game that keeps giving

I would add No Mans Sky in this list, stick it in Casual mode and just potter about. In fact I'm playing an Expedition and just having a jolly good romp around and having a nice chilled time

just give us Kecleon, and all the older gen pokemons first before dipping into newer gens!

I was looking forward to Sports Story until finally playing Golf Story when it went on sale a few weeks back. Got tired of it a few courses in and found the story a bit boring and humourless

@Bomberman64 have you not seen how many movies bomb? With every blockbuster there's a lot of garbage. Be thankful that post-release patches are a thing, they've been like this for a while, it's the world we live in.
Edit - but I agree, bugs aside, performance should've been nailed on from the start

Can't see a great improvement in performance, but then I guessed this patch wouldn't sort it. The wording suggested they were aware of the issues and will look into it later

The crafting in this game is amazing, something no other game of it's kind comes close to.

@mariomaster96 people would've still moaned about it. I loved it before and will love it even more, it was still enjoyable and nothing was game breaking, just a mild annoyance

from reading the patch notes it seems like 1.1 won't be the fix we all crave, sounds like they're releasing this patch for the Ranked Battles and will do something later.
I have played and completed the game and love it, yes it has issues but since they're not game breaking, I've learned to live with them. I don't think theres anyone that thinks the game has no issues at all, they just choose not to let it ruin their fun!

I've been enjoying the depth of the game and still nowhere near to completing it. Yes there are glitches and performance issues but really nothing game breaking and the pros far outweigh the cons for me. The quality of life changes they've made to this have been impressive

Performance and glitches/bugs aside, the game is fantastic and a great step in the right direction, but those glitches are inexcusable from such a big company. The Switch is more than powerful to manage this but for some reason they haven't optimised it
