Re: Review: Ice Station Z (3DS eShop)

For those who may not have played the game and may be looking for a second opinion: It's got its bugs but they usually don't completely destroy your experience. The map is the same every time, you just spawn on different places on it. This is a good thing because it makes resources, as well as other players online, easier to find if you know where to look. Also there's voice chat if you really want to link up with other people.
The game does need some patching and its definitely not amazing, but I had a lot of fun playing it. It's got a bit of an addictive quality where you always wanna find new resources, even after you've died and lost everything.
I'd give it a 5.5
Although, keep in mind this is a small $4 game. I think its worth it.

Re: Pokémon Sun and Moon Magearna Distribution and Movie Screening Details are Confirmed

Why do people keep saying Ash looks too young? He's frickin' 10 years old! He is young! He's a baby lol xD
And as for the new animation style; I know change is hard to deal with but really this is just how animation is done now. The previous seasons looked outdated, and the new style makes the everything move more fluidly. Give it chance, I think you'll enjoy it. Unless they can't keep up the quality...which is highly likely. Animation like that is expensive and time consuming (so I've heard).

Re: Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Heading to 3DS in Japan

@allav866 LOL I've been thinking about that joke all day! x'D You took one for the team and said it though! Your sacrifice is appreciated.
But on the plus side, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to move your Generations save to XX. I'm curious if it'll be full price though.

Re: Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Heading to 3DS in Japan

Honestly, I would of preferred waiting for this than getting Generations when we did. I know there was that whole #MHXfortheWest campaign and all, but personally I always hated that trend in japan where they update the game and you gotta buy it a second time. I don't know if that kind of thing will work in US or EU but I, for one, don't like them giving us the beta version first :/
Also these expansions are typically too big to be DLC. Perish that thought.
Having said all that, this looks great. I like that their bringing back 2nd gen's desert.

Re: Analysts Weigh In On The Nintendo Switch Debate

I never quite understood why investor type people are always so concerned with the mobile market. The vast majority of cell phone games are trash, and the good ones are kept afloat, financially, by the rare customer that pumps tons of money in at a time. Most people don't pay for phone games at all. Comparing that to the console and handheld gamers paying 40-60 dollars per game plus occasional DLC, why worry about the mobile market at all. It seems irrelevant to me. There's a lot more money to be made on home consoles and handhelds, especially when those are the same thing on NS. In my opinion anyway.

Re: New Pokémon, Evolutions and Trainers Revealed for Pokémon Sun and Moon

I think Jangmo-o's evolutions are the first design I dislike
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate em, but idk they're just kinda weird lookin'. They'll probably grow on me though. This gen has that effect lol. Everything else in this trailer is amazing though. Didn't think I could like a Muk so much
New Kahuna looks cool.
*Edit: Just read Hakamo-o's description on the Sun&Moon website. That thing is cool o_o

Re: Different Time Periods, New Pokémon and Snap-style Mode Confirmed for Pokémon Sun and Moon

aniki7

I'm gonna try and say this without coming off as bootyhurt, but it's really weird that some people act like Pokemon company aren't aware of their own decisions. I agree that Type:Null is a strange name but, like, don't you think there's a reason? And UB-01 sounds strange too, but how is it not obvious that it stands for ULTRA BEAST #1. And Bruxish is ugly on purpose too! TT-TT shout out to the homie Bruxish. That fish don't get enough love.

Anyway, the hype is real. I'm super excited for this. Totally getting Moon! Might not even change my 3DS clock so it's day time during the day.

Re: Here's Exactly What Has Changed With Fire Emblem Fates' "Skinship" Petting Mode

aniki7

Apparently, the suggestive language (sometimes between siblings) that come as a result of the petting wasn't the problem. I like this change. I think this is good. But for the life of me, I cannot comprehend why on Earth Nintendo of America has such a huge problem with face touching.
Potentially incestuous relationships are fine as long as there's no face touching.

Re: Video: Bravely Second: End Layer Story Trailer is Big on Drama and Humorous Lines

aniki7

@invictus4000 Oh man those dungeons. It's genius that they let you change your encounter rate but after that first half there's no reason to raise it above 0%. Unless you're grinding and then you can just auto-battle every fight to level up. So even when you have to go backtracking there's no fun/danger to it.
Bravely Second absolutely needs to have more varied content for me to want it. Hopefully the demo will be a good indicator of what to expect.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates New Nintendo 3DS XL Model Confirmed, Along With DLC Details

aniki7

I'm so salty over the timing of this announcement. My old 3DS was all busted up, and I needed a new one. I was torn between getting the Hyrule Edition 3DS (which I don't find pretty), or waiting for a Fates one to be announced. I figured if there was gonna be a Fates 3DS they would of announced it before now -_- now I have the Hyrule one and wish I waited an extra month for this announcement sigh oh well
