@Kalmaro plesse don't take offense as I know Internet discussions can be easily misunderstood ... if you want the Pokemon in the expansion, but have no one to trade with, couldn't you just pay for the expansion yourself? If money is an issue, why not save up for it until you can afford it?

@cmk8 I understood Pokemon Home to be a paid service, separate from the Expansion and from Switch Online memberships.
It is an additional service which will likely cost roughly the same as Pokemon Bank, which I think is only around 5 bucks a year.

I'm pretty happy with this expansion and paid DLC. It's pretty sweet that you can still get the same pokemon as everyone else, whether you pay for the expansion or not.

I didn't complete thisvgame, but I did enjoy what I played. It's obvious that a lot of time and energy went into making the game.
It's a weird mix, but the mix works well and it is an enjoyable experience.

@SquareOneMJ how old is your son? The Let's Go series is definitely the best option for beginners, but Sword and Shield does have a relatively beginner friendly beginning. If he is a competent reader and has a decent amount of focus, I would start him up with sword or Shield.

Yes, there are some issues with the game, as there are with any other game, but the main draw for me is that the game is an enjoyable experience.
Yes, the game could be better. But, couldn't Super Mario Odyssey be better? Couldn't life be better? Just because something isn't perfect doesnt mean it should be discredited and disrespected.

I got both. I started Shield last night (parts of Canada are 3 hours ahead of me so i was able to switch time zones and download it a few hours before midnight). Played about an hour and I really like it so far. There's a little too much dialogue to start, but it's not unbearable.

Don't think I'm weird but i pre-ordered the physical dual pack and a physical copy of Sword.... and predownloaded a copy of Shield .... no, none of these are gifts or for other family members

Terry is one of my favourite fighters in this game and of all time. I'm genuinely surpised that so many people don't recognize him. He's a very iconic SNK character

I am sad to see that the Chronicles aren't getting much love. Not a "true" RE game, but still a very enjoyable experience.

This is definitely a fun and charming game. I go to the gym about 4 or 5 times a week and I feel like this is a decent workout. It definitely left me sweating (after using for longer than the recommended daily amount)

I put a lot of time into Tokyo Mirage Sessions and really enjoyed it but never finished it. Same with Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii and 3DS). I'm glad they're both being released again. Hopefully i complete them this time.

@DeltaPeng i agree. I paid $50CAD for the bundle. While it is light on content, its enough to justify $50. I willingly pay $7 CAD for a specialty coffee four to five times a week, so $50 in the grand scheme of things is no big deal

@MrVariant tbh if Kellogg's wanted to start charging extra to put the bag of cereal inside the cardboard box i would pay the extra (if i wanted the box). That's the way businesses run. If they want to charge for their product they are allowed.

I am pretty excited for this game. The first one was awesome. With regards to paying for online: i don't understand why people are complaining that they have to pay for a service provided by this company. If you don't want to pay for it, dont. But, why complain about a perfectly reasonable business model that Nintendo is using? They're the company. They can charge whatever they want. Video games are a want not a need.

Whoa. Such a split between physical/digital. Personally, i prefer physical, but i never let that stop me from purchasing anything. I buy the game for the game, not the format it comes in. That being said, i have over 70 physical Switch games (maybe, i didnt actually count them) and about 40 digital games (again, i didnt count them but i have three 200 gb sd cards that are all pretty much full)

As sad as it sounds, i will buy this game regardless of quality .... don't judge me ...

The new catching mechanics aren't as terrible as I thought they would be. My only complaints are its way too easy and the box system

I have both versions and the Pokeball Plus. The games are great and the new catching system isnt as bad as I was expecting it to be. I do, however, find the battles to be very easy so far. Overall, though, a very good purchase

Sad. Wii U was and still is one of my favourite systems.

I didnt get excited by the reveal for the single player adventure mode but I'll wait and see before I say anything about it. Regardless, if I dont like it I just wont play it
