Nobody is launching anything new for a few years if the stuff can't even be produced enough to land in stores. I think the world has to chill down first before we see a PS5 slim or a Switch 2.
Now that a lot of stuff is digital, an icon is the new packshot. And it is important and part of the whole thing.
I don't understand anybody saying "who cares".
Edit: It is good that it get's updated. And it is good that stuff like this makes the news.
@Uncle_Franklin The graphics where bland and looked like good PS2 open world. But that is fine for me. The low framerate and the stuttering all the time is what made it exhausting for me. If you move the camera around just to look around is messy. (Even standing around and seeing all the NPCs stutter is not cool) And walking/driving around as well. So the main part of the game (exploring) felt broken to me. I played a few hours and was always fixated on my next goal because I wanted to get it done without much walking around.
And at that point I realized that it makes no sense for me to play this. If it feels like a chore.
@Vix Glad I found your post. I thought I am alone with that opinion. I am also a bit surprised how the graphics turned out compared to the original batch.
Weird how everybody is down paying that price for graded games, action figures and collectibles. But as soon as it's "fashion" or "art" everybody seems anti. Including the headline of the news itself.
I understand the frustration. But at the same time I wonder why a lot of people are surprised about this? Isn't that just how it went down every time on every console so far?
To anybody that seriously asks "why?": simple. Art. Statement. Personality.
Why is anybody still making Gameboy games? Or is shooting a film on a 4:3 consumer camera from the 90s?
Because they want to. It's more interesting in a lot of cases.
People in the comments here are actually ANGRY that rumors turned out to be false? What is wrong with you? I don't want to defend Nintendo or something, but the expectations where never build up by Nintendo themselves. Just by a bunch of internet weirdos that need content.

Oh wow that artstyle is amazing!
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Mario Kart: Super Circuit
The authors of these posts should make sure to show good quality pics. Not desaturated scans. Some people will subconsciously be influenced by that.
Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Explains Microsoft's Plans For Call Of Duty On Nintendo Platforms
I don't think he is talking about the Switch anyway but having the next thing in mind.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Surpass 10 Million Sales In First Three Days, Setting New Nintendo Record
Sends a nice message to all the other developers who still aim to release a 100% finished game.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Sonic CD
I like that the EU has the title printed in silver.
Doesn't show that good on pics though.

Re: Pokémon Fans Vent Frustrations Online About Scarlet & Violet's Technical Issues
Mine went back to Amazon before all these news popped up.
The performance was making the game feel like a chore for me. I was not motivated to explore the world because the issues made it rather exhausting.
I thought it was because of my old Switch and maybe a slow card or something.
Re: Review: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet - An Open-World Poké Playground Full Of Promise (And Tech Issues)
Mine goes back to Amazon today. The performance makes playing it a rather exhausting experience for me.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Are Out This Week, Which Version Are You Getting?
Violet. Have done no research though. Just going on gut feeling.

None. I have only 6 games on my Switch.

Mildly confused why the news headline is not:
"F O L D E R S ! Holy f*** mate!"
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass DLC?
Bought it. But kinda disappointed. Looks nothing like the base game. Flat and rough textures all over the place. What is going on Nintendo?

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Has Been Updated To Version 2.0.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Tracks are fun. But I am a bit surprised about the graphics. They all look like as if just a fraction of the original effort went into.

I think in the live action movie it was "Mario Mario"
But my memory is a daze. So I could be wrong.
Re: Konami Announces Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection For Switch
Amazing.
But also sad that it is amazing by todays standards. It should be normal for studios to bring their games like this.
Re: Random: Did A Cheeky Nando's Inspire The New Pokémon Games? Probably Not
@larryisaman yeah the only similarity in that font is that it uses the same alphabet
Re: Obsidian's RPG Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire Appears To Have Been Cancelled For Switch
Well these days we should give them at least kudos for cancelling instead of releasing an unfinished mess I guess.
Re: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - Card Warriors Is Finally Available On Nintendo Switch
So this is an add-on to a full price game right?
For a moment I was excited it's a standalone game.

How about just giving us Chrono Trigger without a ***** filter over it before remaking stuff.
Re: Random: Stella McCartney Is Making $1800 'Space Invaders' Knitwear, For Some Reason

Re: Hands On: MLB The Show 22 Tech Test Impressions - Sony Takes A Swing At Switch
Brutal. Especially they took down the RBI alternative from the store.
Re: Video Game History Foundation Calls Out Nintendo's "Destructive" 3DS & Wii U eShop Closure
@MythTgr Ah I was not aware. I am in EU and wanted to download REZ and JET SET RADIO, but it did not let me.

@KateGray I have no Twitter anymore and no other way to reach you.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting A Switch OLED Or Valve Steam Deck?
Never used Steam. But since my main draw to the Switch was the hardware and not the games I might be gone here now and sell my Switch.
I hope some of you are gonna miss me. 🙋♀️
Re: The Original Nexomon Game Is Coming Soon To Nintendo Switch
Puh. Looks a bit too much like a flash game for my taste. But cool that they drop it. Everybody should just put their whole library on the Switch.
Re: Tetris 99 Hits The Fairway With A Brand New Mario Golf: Super Rush Theme
I recently found a #1 screenshot from Mario 35 again. I miss it so much …
