I really crave for a TGC game that I got sucked into with a lot if collecting, events and (yes I say it) mtx and boosters. But I just can't get into the looks of YGO. The cards look terrible in my opinion.
Hopefully Magic Arena will come at some point. But seeing how long they took to even get it going for Mac ...
@nessisonett To further proof your point: I never considered Stadia before I read your comment. I don't want a PC or console apart from my Switch. But I do want to play Cyberpunk.
Edit: aaaand I just googled (ha) what I need to do so. Looks like I need some Chromecast thingy for the TV and stuff. Which is already more things that I want to have lying around at home just to play this one game.
I bought Arc of Alchemist the other day because it was on sale and I liked to idea of grinding RPG to build some city stuff. But I gave up just after a few minutes. I am no fps snob, but this felt like under 20fps and was just exhausting because of it.
I don't know tbh. If it would not be surrounded by so much hype I would have no interest I guess. It looks pretty bad, but I know it's all about the concept in this case. The thing is that I did not understand the concept and what makes it fun so far. I guess I have to watch an explanation video at some point. (Which I probably could have done in the same time as writing this...)
I played the previous one (Wings) and this reads like it is exactly that again. I also agree with the review that this is not a bad thing. Just nothing to talk about that much.
@nessisonett I agree. I think EA did a really good job with this port. And they basically came to the rescue in filling the arcade racer void the Switch had for way to long.
Personally it is Need for Speed because it ended the long "proper" arcade racer drought for me. (Since I did not enjoy Burnout that much because of the tracks)
@SilentHunter382 what exactly is the souls genre? I always thought its games like Dark Souls (hence the name), but these days I hear the description a lot together with Immortals Fenyx Rising. Which - in my opinion at least - is something completely different.
I also did a google search before asking here. But I could not really get a clear answer on what the souls genre is in short terms. Maybe my english is not good enough to understand the nuances.
Taiko no Tatsujin Rythmic Adventure 1 & 2
Was not completely sure what to expect. But it is totally bonkers in the best way possible so far.
Immortals Fenyx Rising
I am already 15-ish hours in, even though I should wait for the rumored patch in a few days. It really looks rough. But it is such an entertaining game.
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon ... etc
Finished map 2. Still avoiding to do weapon management. I feel like I have to do it soon tough.
I like the game. Was afraid of it, but found myself enjoying it so far. These kind of hard to access games have some of their own magic.
Ah. I never had an NES and thought that the dull and dark image was just being "close to the original". Annoying to learn that it is not. Because I immediately noticed it in a negative way weeks ago on the eShop screenshots, but just accepted it as being an old game.
I was looking forward to this until I played the demo tbh. Maybe the boring second stage (sewer hallway or something) was not the best way to show the game off.
I just finished the first stage a few hours ago (I guess it was playable sooner in EU because of time zones) and I enjoyed it more (so far) then I expected I would. Because all the reviews, saying how brutal difficult and clunky it is, scared me a bit.
Still afraid of the difficulty to go way up. But the clunkiness is something I actually enjoy if I am honest. I have a soft spot for this "non explanation time" in gaming where there was so much guessing and unnecessary work involved from the players part.
My favorite example is the cake shop in Phantasy Star.
And I am not even being nostalgic, because I was not around at that time. Just experiencing it now trough ports.

Re: Reminder: Today Is Toy Day In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Happy toy day to everybody on this site! I am usually not into commenting or online communication. But this place here is kinda cozy and I enjoy it.
Let's hope 2021 will actually be a bit better (in general) and that we get NSO Gameboy and the Tony Hawk remasters. 🎄
Re: "Steamy" Otome Visual Novel Bustafellows Is Coming To Switch Next Year
This looks kinda cool. But what I really want is Policenauts.
Re: What Are Your Most-Played Switch Games This Year? Find Out With Nintendo's Year In Review
@SeantheDon29 How many hours do you got in Yu-Gi-Oh?
Re: What Are Your Most-Played Switch Games This Year? Find Out With Nintendo's Year In Review
I am EU, so no stats for me I guess. But since I only got 11 games on my Switch, I kinda know what they are anyway.
Re: Random: Epic Games Apparently Still Needs Your Help To "Free Fortnite"
@ADV good point. Very good point.
Re: Random: Epic Games Apparently Still Needs Your Help To "Free Fortnite"
This is childish. Just like the game.

Re: Feature: What Can We Expect From Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary?
I would really like to have the original Gameboy games in a collection. I never played them and would love to do so on my Switch with Pokemon Home.
I also would like a TCG. Even though I would probably lose all my life saving in the mtx shop there buying boosters.
Re: Nintendo Releases 'Swapnote Remastered' Update, Despite Killing The App Seven Years Ago
So there is still hope for more MK8 DLC
Re: Inkypen Launches New Wave Of Steampunk Comics On Nintendo Switch
Never thought I see Donald Duck as part of something Steampunk related.

Re: The Pokémon Trading Card Game Is Getting A Shake Up With New 'Battle Styles' Mechanic
I want a Switch TCG like this.
The one time I wish they milk an IP they don't do it.
Re: Hat In Time Dev Is Bringing "Cozy" 3D Platformer Here Comes Niko! To Switch
This looks really good and loaded with personality. The frog after the "credits" sold me.
Re: Review: Mercenaries Blaze: Dawn Of The Twin Dragons - A Tactical RPG That's Short On Surprises
I played the previous one (Wings) and this reads like it is exactly that again. I also agree with the review that this is not a bad thing. Just nothing to talk about that much.
Re: Final Fantasy's Chocobo Racing Might Be Making A Comeback
@Jakiboy Ah cmon. Just for the throwback gameplay vid alone it was worth it.
Re: These Are The Five Switch Online Games Japan Is Getting This Month
Man these look so much cooler then the ones we get.
Re: Final Fantasy's Chocobo Racing Might Be Making A Comeback
No need for MK9 then
Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES And NES Service With Five More Titles
@Desrever "I might even get around to playing half way through the first stage"
This is genius and so true.
Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES And NES Service With Five More Titles
I think that fireman thing and Valis look really cool. I rather have more unknown stuff like that.
Also Nightshade looks crazy good for NES.
Anyway happy that they give us an update.
Re: Nintendo Toys Coming To Burger King Kids Meals In Germany, Austria, And Australia
Mario Kartoffel. Holy ***** how did you even come up with that stuff? I am german and would have never even thought about it.
Re: Random: Edge Magazine Is Teasing A "World Exclusive"
Bakugan II: Champions of Eggland
Re: Random: Holiday-Themed Game Seasonal Assistant Coming To The Wii U eShop Early On In 2021
@Entrr_username because otherwise it would not count as another Wii U port when it comes to Switch.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #71 - Pokémon Stadium 2
Japan. Both kinda ugly though.
Re: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Receives Its Very First Patch
@nessisonett I agree. I think EA did a really good job with this port. And they basically came to the rescue in filling the arcade racer void the Switch had for way to long.
Re: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Receives Its Very First Patch
@Danrenfroe2016 They do feel rather heavy. But it is also made by the same people who made Burnout. So maybe you could still enjoy it.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Switch Game Of 2020? It's Time To Rate Your Favourites
Personally it is Need for Speed because it ended the long "proper" arcade racer drought for me. (Since I did not enjoy Burnout that much because of the tracks)
Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Brings More Retro Action To Switch Early Next Year
I like the CI of the thing. I know nobody cares and "don't judge a book by its cover" etc.
But it just looks inviting and like it's own thing.
Re: Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection And Capcom Arcade Stadium Coming To Switch In February 2021
Does the Capcom thing make the Beat em Up collection obsolete then?
Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light - We've Come A Long Way In 30 Years
@SilentHunter382 Sometimes I even enjoy games because they aged poorly. I kind of have a weird soft spot for games that make you work for it.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light - We've Come A Long Way In 30 Years
I have to say that I really like it. The graphics and music are something that actually really appeal to me.
I just wish they patch the brightness.
Re: Poll: DOOM Eternal Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
@Krambo42 what was the difference to 2016 that made you feel that way early on?
Re: Random: These Nintendo Box Art Wood Carvings Are Simply Sensational
The prices appear to be very fair to me. Considering it's all handmade.
Re: Review: Star Renegades - Borrows Ideas From The Best To Create A Truly Inventive RPG
@SilentHunter382 Oh ok. I remember being able to go back to your corpse and collect your stuff and xp.
Re: Review: Star Renegades - Borrows Ideas From The Best To Create A Truly Inventive RPG
@SilentHunter382 @SwitchVogel thank you a lot for taking the time to explain it to me. 🙏
So basically Diablo was already a souls game right?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #70 - Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Clearly japan for me. Looks like so much fun.

@Snatcher Ni no Kuni, Taiko no Tatsujin, Okami no Spoilers
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 5th)
@yusuf2002 I like how stupid and slapstick it is. Refreshing to see a new AAA game not being broody and ultra serious.

Re: Review: Commandos 2 - HD Remaster - A Shoddy Update Plagued With Both New And Old Annoyances
Man. It feel like that 90% of Switch releases are shoddy this past year. Really depressing.
Re: Random: Pokémon's Latest ASMR Video Features Pikachu "Romping" Around A Room
@ShockFire10 I guess something in my brain is different then. I find Pikachus noises rather annoying in this case.
Re: Random: Pokémon's Latest ASMR Video Features Pikachu "Romping" Around A Room
@HorridCrow thank you. But I was being ironic.
Re: Japanese Charts: Konami's Momotaro Dentetsu Railroads Hyrule Warriors For A Second Week
My Switch library would be so much bigger if I could read japanese. Their stuff is so much more up my alley than most things we get.
Re: Random: Pokémon's Latest ASMR Video Features Pikachu "Romping" Around A Room
I don't get it. Is this art?
Re: Persona 5 Strikers Is Coming To Western Switch Consoles In February 2021

Re: Review: Wildfire - A Thoroughly Enjoyable Slow-Burn Of A Game
Great review. But I am just burned out when it comes to pixel sidescrollers.
