So basically, with Wii U you have Backwards Compatibility with the previous gens controllers, you have free online, and the system takes up an incredibly low amount of energy.

Regardless of if you like or dislike the system or games, the fact of the matter is you're saving quite a bit of money going Wii U. Personally, myself, the more money I have freed up to spend on things, the better.

This one looks so freaking awesome. I won't be pledging but I'll definitely be buying.

This engine looks fantastic. Honestly, I'm shocked that the company that made Bravely Default and 3d Dot Heroes is making this. Normally open engines like this come from big name western publishers.

If the Wii just had HD, that alone would make a huge difference.

My own research I did to see the systems availability seemed pretty positive. Granted, I did this on early Saturday so things could have changed a bit. Did this from Killeen, TX in the US.

Gamestop - The NSMBU/NSLU bundle, which was only sold online, was on their sites best sellers from late thursday to about mid day Friday till it sold out. The WWHD bundle is available online but 6 out of 8 stores near me have low stock. Their Skylanders + giftcard bundle is available online but can't look it up in stores. The normal 32 gig deluxe model is sold out online and low stock in 3 out of 8 stores near me.

On a side note SM3DWorld has held a spot on best sellers since mid day yesterday.

Walmart - Walmarts own bundle with NSMBU/NSLU has been in its top electronics list since the beginning of all of the sales. The NSMBU/NSLU bundle is in stock online and sold out in 5 out of 19 stores near me. The WWHD bundle is sold out online and of the 3 stores that "were" still selling it 1 is now sold out. The normal 32 gig deluxe model is sold out online and of the 2 stores that were selling it, 1 is sold out. The Zombi U bundle is still being sold online but out of the 7 stores that were selling it 0 have it in stock.

Best Buy - Best Buy's specialty NSMBU/NSLU bundle isn't available for shipping with the Mario remote version sold out in 5 out of 10 stores near me and the Luigi remote version sold out in 6 out of 10 stores near me. They definitely need to talk as much as they can about the system. They also need to advertise to more then just kids and families, they need to show the system really can be for everybody.

It will be interesting to see if this can help pick up sales.

TBH, I don't envision any of the 3 systems selling as well as there predecessors. Much of the expanded market that picked up Wii and DS have moved on to smartphones and social games as well as many gamers who aren't nostalgic and don't have any allegiances moved to PC gaming.

That said, it will be interesting to see how the Steambox does. If it takes off, it'll put some serious strain on all the console companies but especially the higher end ones.

Wii U's worldwide sales from the week ending in Oct 5th to Oct 26th are at 275,375 (according to vgchartz). 227,874 of that is from EU & NA. That was from a price drop and WWHD bundle, a game that's over 10 years old. Think about that, now imagine sales for bundles of new, exclusive games.

I really need to snag this one.

I really want to see more on it as in screens and vids of the Wii U version, not the same PS4/XB1 stuff we keep seeing.

My problem with 3rd party games on Wii U is so many games lack the content that other versions do making them the inferior versions. Devs and Pubs need to give there all if they expect their games to do good.

I got this for $5 off of the US eShop.

Well, I don't really know what to expect but I'll say I'll be getting this on Wii U either way.

@swordx I would love to play Minecraft on Wii U. Same goes with Dungeon Defenders. I think they'd both be great on the Wii U pad.

I loved the LostWinds games. I really wish they'd find a solution for getting LostWinds on Wii U. Mine didn't transfer....

I figured as much, the game looked like it had quite a bit going on on screen. Also I love the fact Nintendo has so many deals going on right now for their systems. They're really encouraging people to buy stuff on their platforms.

Wow, I guess I'm late to the party! This sounds pretty stinking awesome, I hope they all come to the Americas!

Personally, I already knew this was the case. As for looking at whats possible on the Wii U, looking at Monoliths new game X, Red Dead Redemption from consoles, and new open world games for PS4 and Xbox One such as MGS5, I'd say Wii U has shown that it can push graphics out that are indeed better then the previous generation but not quite as good as the best of the 8th gen. Of course, not supporting the new Direct X is going to also put a wrench in a lot of games getting ported over but the Wii U is still quite capable and it will be interesting to see what type of games come in its future.

I think they're making a smart bet. Thing is, the Wii U launched without any first party software to really grab early adopters and most the 3rd party IP was ports. This will soon change big time when Nintendo drops the hammer and quite frankly, it's smart for 3rd parties to be there to capitalize on this.

This is glorious! This is quite possibly some of the best news I've seen in a long time regarding any controller on any system.

Look, plain and simple, as it stands right now, the Wii U is the only consumer friendly system and the only system that will have the features we've come to expect while continuing the traditions that make console gaming great. Microsoft for sure completely road off what most established gamers look for in their systems and Sony while not officially doing everything the Xbox One does, is officially doing some of the things that turn people off and they "might" be doing others. This leaves Nintendo and to be honest, with Nintendo's line up on the way, it's going to be hard to argue against the system anymore.

Oh wow, I just heard about this game now and I gotta say, it looks really stinking awesome. I love the visual style and I'm generally a fan of this style of gameplay, I can't wait to try it out.

Another game that I really hope reaches its funding goal. I'm loving these spiritual successors and hope to see more of them pop up.

Very awesome, I'm glad to see these games getting broken up and thrown on the Wii U eShop. Gives the games a lot longer shelf life and lets people buy them at their leisure.

Well, Rex Rocket and this both look like the type of games that I'd love to play. I'm really looking forward to checking them both out. Unfortunately, I can't back Rex Rocket at this time, but I'll definitely snag a copy whenever I can on whatever platform it's available on.

Not the same market and its not like its a term only used for a specific brand. The complaints aren't valid imo.

I just got ATV Wild Ride 3D and Art of Balance on 3DS. Considering Fluidity Spin Cycle and Tokyo Crash Mob for 3DS and the Zen Pinball tables and Kung Fu Rabbit for Wii U.

I'm loving the fact 3DS and Wii U are seeing regular deals. This with along with Club Nintendo game rewards is showing that Nintendo has really upped their game in terms of the online store front. Deals + game rewards = epic. Can't wait to see what this months new CN rewards will be.
