Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2016 - Spring Edition

Varathius

@VanillaLake Word latino comes from latins (Italians), southlanders of Europe mainly. It spread towards Spain and Portugal. European spanish immigrants than classified themselves as "latinos", that mostly in central America. Brazilians, Argentinians, Chileans, do not associate themselves as latinos, as Chile for instance has a very high immigration of Balkan country Europeans, Brazil have a lot of Germans as well (south of Brazil), and the largest Japanese population out of Japan (Sao Paulo). Argentinians are a mix of French and Spanish, so they can't be 100% latinos. Bolivians, Peruvians etc have a lot of indigenous in them so they can't be either, so latinos in the modern world are mostly central Americans and in the surrounding Caribbean islands, but the real wording of latinos include especially, Mediterranean European states... they just do not like to be called latinos, but they know that they are just that

Re: Feature: Five Reasons Why We Love Animal Crossing

Varathius

I am a gamer, my wife is not. I got her a new 3DS to see how she would do and included this game. She, lol, loves it. Sometimes I try to fall asleep and I keep hearing "aaawwwwwww, sooooo cute", etc...I keep waking up. She uploaded her houses that she designed, sometimes needing 1-1.5 hour....so many people give her good rating. So I tried it and failed miserably at it...I lack in interior design, I am more into destroying and blowing crap up...

Re: More Details Emerge on 80's Overdrive

Varathius

The most games I play on my 3DS are SNES and Gameboy games lol. Don't take me wrong, I like the new games. Mh4, XBC, FE, etc, but those old games from when I was a kid, have so much replay value!

Re: First 4 Figures Opens Pre-Orders on Awesome Star Fox Arwing Collectible

Varathius

@ElementSponge WiiU is outdated crap in the future... Imagine 20 years down the road, when StarFox is still a thing (which it will be), and you happen to have one of limited versions of it. Look at the 1996 Starwars Super Star Destroyer collectors. It cost 49 bucks 20 years ago, now you find it for at least 800 usd on ebay and that is if you find it at all.

Re: Talking Point: The New Nintendo 3DS is Yet to Have a Real Chance to Revive the Portable Family

Varathius

@CB85 How can a console that you hook up onto a damn tv replace a 3ds ? So can I take the Nx into an airplane and play it? Can I play it in a hotel room laying on my bed in my holidays when my wife is taking her 2-3 hours to prepare herself in the bathroom for dinner? Can I play the Nx on the train? Or when waiting for an hour for the doctor to arrive late? The 3Ds platform has nothing to do with the Nx, Zero. Different games, different equipment, etc... 3DS is a on-the-go platform... it was meant to be plaid on-the go, and not as a main console in your own home... if people use a 3DS as a main console and don't use a PC, or other more higher end-consoles, then they are doing it wrong in Nintendo's perspective. 3DS is a mobile gaming platform, not a stationary like the Nx. Two different ideas behind it.

Re: Tatsumi Kimishima Is Aiming To Quadruple Nintendo's Operating Profits

Varathius

Well, they will for sure get a big step closer to their goal by doing these four things:

  • Improve marketing strategies
  • Not forgetting that Europe also exists
  • Release games world-wide the same week as they are released in Japan
  • Not releasing the best games towards the last breaths of their console, but much earlier!! (Xenoblade, Legends of Zelda, Starfox, etc)...

Re: Guide: Getting Started With Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U

Varathius

This is one of the games where I knew, as a Xenoblade Chronicles vet, that I will need a guide for this one. My limited edition guide arriving on monday only, but it is confirmed, a lot of stuff will go unanswered, because half the time it is random people that explain you how to do stuff and what exactly you need to do, so you often end up not seeing them or running past them. I hope the guide has all answers.

Re: Random: Check Out the Most Expensive Super Mario Watch in the World

Varathius

sometimes, things just don't add up...to buy so much money for a watch designer that is not even familiar with super mario concepts, I don't know...for that price, you can get yourself an outstanding Bulgari gold watch (speaking of watches now), that at least have some net worth in gold for example. That watch, all you pay for is a name, RJ. Just like Tiffany jewelry, you only end up paying money for the name. That watch looks incredibly cheap too. People will laugh at you and then if you are not the type of person that constantly likes to proof how much you paid for something, then that watch is definitely not for you. In other news, I can't wait for xenoblade chronicles X on Dec 4th !!!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Launches at Number One in Japan, But With Sales a Long Way Behind Predecessors

Varathius

As a multiplayer hater plus owning this game, I have no idea why people dislike this game so much, especially the ones that did not even purchase it. The game is great fun actually, it gives multiplayer haters a great experience, because chat is limited and it can be even fun to watch many half-baked simpletons understanding what to do after a few tries. Trust me, the sense of accomplishment that you feel for them is epic, especially in the sky realm map. However, this game is not for anyone with high blood pressure or history of heart attacks, you will find idiocy along the way but then again, the extremely limited given chat messages, make it for a drama free game environment.
tl;dr: If you are a Zelda fan, you don't know what you are missing, this can be hilarious, but the many disconnects can make it tedious up to 30% of the time. But at one point, you need this game.

Re: Editorial: It's Far Too Soon to Go Download-Only, and Physical Retail Still Matters

Varathius

I have a much faster internet connection than anyone in here, and all I can say is that I still rather have physical copies, here are the main reasons why:

1. Graphics take too much space in the hard disk.
2. Console hard disks are usually crap (not SSD), the more it is filled with data, the slower the whole console becomes.
3. Good thing to have anyway, if you like to collect games to use it later again in time, which is when many companies go bust and those games not being available in the cloud anymore anyway.

Reason 1 and 2 however are main reasons why wanting physical copies, even if you have connection that downloas 1 gig in approximately 1 minute.
