$30, $50, and $90 for a $5 game? Get real.

Different strokes for different folks, but I just can't understand owning Smash Ultimate and only buying 1-2 DLC characters. My anal retentiveness would and does require me to have all the characters. It's such an important aspect of the game. Sure, Mii costumes, whatever. Songs, maybe, yeah. But not having all the characters is, to me, straight up missing a big chunk of the game.

Not crazy about the visuals but I'm a weeb and love this type of Japanese slice of life stuff. Shout-out to The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa.

@russell-marlow They said the last MAJOR update, which it is. Sakurai has already said we're not getting anymore new features. 1-2 more patches and that's gonna be it I'm thinking.

The EXP share being permanent I don't really care about. I'm a casual player so it just cuts down on the grinding for me.

But the other two: one-use TMs and autosaving. These are both horrible, particularly the autosaving. "Ah, I accidentally killed the legendary. No worries I'll just reset real quick and... Hey, what's the little spinning wheel in the corner?"

Heck yeah I'm excited for Sora in Smash! Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Ball Z Budokai are the games that got me to ask my parents for a PS2 for Xmas, and I'll never forget playing them for the first time in the early 2000s.

I also love the new Hollow Bastion stage with its 7 (!) aesthetic transformations. It's so cool how it changes based on the timer running out and/or players getting low on stocks. I wish more stages had a dynamic reaction like this.

It would have been nice if we had gotten a few more songs from the KH universe but that's just a very minor gripe.

I have the gold edition or whatever of this game on my e-shop wishlist. Currently it's $85 so I'm definitely going to wait for a hefty discount before I pick it up, if I do at all. To be honest I've played through the Z portion of the story so many times already via the Budokai and Tenkaichi series that I'm still burnt out all these years later at the thought of grinding from Raditz to Boo all over again.

Damn, Japan, share some of those gems with the rest of us! We like Custom Robo, too!

I saw on the eShop last night that several Dragon Ball games are on sale now. Super DBZ Heroes is $9, XenoVerse 2 is $8, and the ultimate edition of FighterZ which is normally $109 is on sale for $19.

@WoomyNNYes LM3 almost captures the magic of the original but it's just so repetitive IMO. Each floor is unique but the formula is the same. I played it with my wife when it came out and we made it about halfway before stopping. We plan to finish it someday.

@Einherjar Ah I see. Thankfully I did pre-order XV1 so I had SS4 Vegeta, but I didn't have a PS4 by the time XV2 released and it really bothered me that I would miss out on a whole playable character. Now that I know the Switch version has everything I'll consider picking it up.

Didn't Xenoverse & Xenoverse 2 have pre-order DLC that came with playable characters never released again? I think XV1 was SS4 Vegeta.

It's funny how I don't see a follow-up article from NL mentioning how the Smash & Splatoon communities raised $25,000 for the prize pool (the cap), $3,000 for charity, and had 7,000 viewers on Twitch watching the tournament finals, making this the biggest Splatoon tournament ever.

Yeah, I find that very interesting. Almost like there is a bias afoot. But that couldn't be true, right?
