Re: Pocket Card Jockey Comes to the 3DS This May

@Detective_TeeJay first off, no I didn't say that. Second, I can do three first party, a lot more with third party games:

1. Star Tropics
2. Star Tropics II
3. Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (this one eventually did make it to Japan years later, but only as a digital release, and only as a very high point item exclusively on Club Nintendo for a very short time before it shut down).

@HyrulianOfHyrule impossible.

But I can see then expanding the recurring cast and the game formula. It doesn't always need to be Link as a single protagonist, weak at the beginning, gathering items to save Zelda. Hyrule Warriors wasnt just a collaboration in another games style. It showed us that Impa and Zelda can be fun playable characters and still be a Zelda game. A zelda game can be episodic.

For a long time Nintendo has been wanting to change what the meaning of a "Zelda game" is, and I think Hyrule Warriors gave us a taste of that.

@Crimzonlogic there's no reason that she can't be his sister in some incarnation. The recurring characters change a lot between games. Link has been a farmer, a train conductor, he has been Zelda's childhood friend in one version, and a complete stranger who only knows her by name in another.

@-Godot again, its not about STARTING with N. The way Japanese works is very different from the English or other Romance language alphabets. The hint is that it contains the katakana ン, which while sounding like N, cannot be at the start of a word.

Japanese Kana work as phonetic representations, while looking like vowel consonant pairs to English speakes. Other N sounds exist, like な (na), or に (ni). The Kana ン is the only sound in Japanese without a vowel attached, which is why a word cannot start with it. So you're looking for a Pokemon that has it in the middle or end of its name, like Jigglypuff, which is Purin (プリン)
