Late last year, the comic book crime-fighting duo Sam and Max returned to the spotlight in Sam & Max Save the World Remastered.
This remaster was handled by Skunkape Games - a small indie dev comprised of former Telltale employees, who acquired the rights for Sam & Max Season One when Telltale shut down.
If you've been holding out for a physical copy - Limited Run Games has now lifted the lid on a standard copy for $34.99 and collector's edition for $74.99. Pre-orders for both versions will open on the LRG website on 30th April.
If you're also hoping for more seasons - Skunkape has already confirmed seasons 2 and 3 are on the way and should arrive at some point this year. Will you be adding this physical copy of season one to your Switch collection? Tell us down below.

I think I have a trilogy for this franchise on Wii but hardly touched it, are these games worth going through?
@Tourtus yes and no but this is more to my belief of them being one and done games when it comes to point and click games so i just watch entire playthrough's but that shouldn't stop you from wanting to get a good game though.
I have literally nothing interesting or funny to say, so here's Max with a hammer.
@Tourtus Yes.
I enjoyed my time with it, and would love to see more.
Just beware of the censorship discussions.
@edgedino I rarely play a game more than once, so them not having branching paths or different endings isn't a bad thing to me.
@HotGoomba lol I figured you'd say that.
I guess I'll put them higher up on my backlog for now. Thanks you two for the responses!
@Tourtus the censorship stuff might be something you’d want to look into if it had the potential to bother you (I don’t know enough about the extent of the changes) but I had these on the Wii and played them to death. I absolutely adored the writing, the characters and the zany world. A decent amount of the puzzles are rather obtuse but it sure is a fun world to spend some time in.
Plus, the Wii versions ran atrociously, which never bothered me as such but did create a feeling of lack of polish. From what I’ve seen, the Switch versions are much cleaner in that regard.
@hariseldon thanks for helping me save my money with this information
@Tourtus just did a bit of research, the main change seems to be the changing of the voice actor who plays Bosco, a black character. Originally voiced by a white dude, they’ve changed the VA so the ethnicities now match. People are quite upset about that, it seems, though it’s worth noting that the original VA did land in some hot water not long ago for posting a YouTube vid in black face.
The other censoring is the removal of some jokes regarding sexualising minors and drug use. All seem like pretty above board changes to me personally, the biggest issue is that they lied about it prior to release and explicitly stated that no lines of dialogue had been changed.
So there’s a whole bunch of info for you that will hopefully help you make the choice!
@SonOfVon see my above comment for elaboration on the ‘woke’ changes
@MajorasLapdog thanks! yeah, it's gonna be a no from me dawg
And here I thought it was ‘the left’ who cancelled things.
@MajorasLapdog Thanks for the info! I'll try the Wii collection I already have before deciding to buy more from this franchise. Shame about the censorship though. Not bothered by voice acting changes too much as long as the replacement can do the same level or a better performance.
@Tourtus It really isn't "Censorship" as some may claim. It was only a dozen lines that were changed and two of them were re-added in a patch. Revisionism? Maybe. But over 99.9% of the game is the same as it was in 2006/2007. The Wii collection is actually very bad technically compared to the Switch version.
Far-right downvoting campaign aside,
It seems the critics didn't really love any of these games since the original "Hit the Road". And that was released 28 years ago.
@nessisonett the right choose not to buy things, the left choose not to allow others to buy them. Big difference.
@MontyCircus not everything you disagree with is far right.
