@stvnorman FYI, the xbox version has some frame issues (across it's various consoles). I don't have the latest xbox, but a 1S and it does have some loading issues. I don't consider it too bad, but I play only on consoles. PC people might have more of an issue with it. I would also like to try the PS version.
@CactusMan Can you please not post this here. The rest of media is saturated with this, evidenced by the fact that you are talking about it. FYI, there are other atrocities occurring in the world, but this is site for video games.
I own the base game and dlc on two platforms; Xbox and Switch. Unfortunetly, you have to purchase the dlc on both platforms to get access to it. The game is fun, but I would say it's much easier (or accessible) than BOTW. I'm just commenting this as some may want more challenge. FYI, I'm a Dark Souls player. Anyway, the base game is good. I still have not tried the dlc, but I'm getting around to it. Buy this game. Keep an eye out for sales, if short on money.
I don't see what everyone is complaining about. The game is free and a mobile game. Who the hell expects an Elder Scrolls game to be good on mobile. I have this game on my Android and the Switch. It is fun and a typical mobile time waster. You can play it for free, but it is even more "grindy." Don't go in expecting a typical Bethesda game.
@FX102A This game has had issues on all platforms. I own digital on xbox and the physical on Switch. I encounter the occasional bug on Xbox. It used to randomly crash, but that has since been patched out (for me at least).
@kobashi100 I know this is an old article, but thanks for the post. Yes, this game seems to have issues on all platforms except PC. I have the Xbox one S and it has issues there also. Some friends have the X and say this also has issues.
@Yanina This game is intended for speedrunners. It takes a lot of tedious repetition. Think Dark Souls or Shmups. I might get this as my experience is "the more difficult you make a game to play (interface), the more proficient you get at it." I would like a mobile version.
@BenAV I think as long as Nintendo really doesn't become a hardware rival and sticks to it's "Nintendo approach" to gaming, Microsoft will work with them.
Not really that great of a film and the movie is/was more done for shock value, than anything else. There are portrayals of abuse in the movie, which I wouldn't like to see in a game. Really, the movie is just a "Gore" flick. I hope they can actually make a good game from the concept.
@smashboy2000 You really should condemn this movie for other reasons. It is an exploitation film. It portrays native people in a way that is incorrect. The animal butchery is an aspect you may not like seeing, but still takes place. I don't like this movie as it portrays native people as being "savages," which was/is far from truth. Maybe at it time in history it could be seen as a good film, but I feel it doesn't really hold up.
For those complaining about the game being "pay to win." There was another mobile game "Into the Dead 2," that came to the Switch. It contained DLC or 'pay to win' content, but lacked daily events. The mobile version has daily events. This may be the same.
@BensonUii Yeah, unfortunately these things only have a limited number of “read & write” cycles on them. Also, you could just have a faulty cart. I’ve burnt through a few cheap SD cards. FYI, the Chinese/EBay cards are usually the worst. I even have a friend that has gone through numerous consoles & caused a few game discs to no longer work.
@NImH Rogue-likes are also not my cup of tea. Dead Cells is different in that it does have upgrades, unlockabes (weapons, armor, etc.), and key map locations in the same area. This makes it so that you don’t have to explore & come out “mediocre,” rather than fully upgraded. Other than Dead Cells, I could do without other Rogues. We’ll see what this game is like.
@Bunkerneath No. And, as mentioned by others, these games didn't make it west. Here in the states we'd welcome this. Most of the "dominant" consoles get quite a few of these released. I think back to 360 & it's CAVE shooters.
@therube Yeah, not unusual for mobile games. Also, I don't think CAVE will be doing any remasters in the future. Ketsui is supposed to be ported to PS4. I'd love it on switch. I still have an iPad that was never update. That is one of the "problems" of some Apple hardware. I've been told to send it in. But I'll keep it for CAVE games.
I don't really know what previous Nintendo game to compare this to. It is atmospheric and can be a bit repetetive; but I believe that's to get used to the gameplay. The game is on Steam. Check the reviews out, it's a solid game. I've bought both versions of the game and have enjoyed them.
@Banksie Not really a bad article. I've yet to buy a Switch & was wondering where the save state is stored. I wish someone could comment on if the Memory cards only "allow for display of a certain # of games." Both the Wii U (expanded memory) & cards in the 3DS are limited. Not sure how many on the 3DS, but the Wii U is slightly over 200. Yes, I've filled my Wii U with over that many legit digital games. Really only using 800gb of my 2TB external drive.
Ghost Blade is a solid shooter. There was a little slow down on the Dreamcast version (I own it). I wonder if it's on this one, I'd not even been aware of it coming out. I'll get it on Wii U, looking forward to it.
@Hikingguy As a Vita owner I have something to comment on this. Also, it makes me wonder if Nintendo will have content/games tied to a machine (as in the past) or an account system. The vita & vita TV don't have much memory. It's downfall was proprietary memory. Meaning it will only take Sony's expensive memory. The good of having your own memory is that you can have games on different cards and take them with you. Also, if you have more than one memory, you don't have to worry about it failing and losing all your games. Let's see what Nintendo does. Maybe we'll all just have to have an external usb memory.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Also, Hori tends to make pretty good arcade sticks in general. Depending on the input (usb?), we might be able to use it for PC or other platforms.
@JTMnM Can't agree more. The big 3 console makers need to realize that by bringing these shooters/SHMUPS to your console, you get a nice niche market. Nintendo needs to comission some ex CAVE employee's to dev a game. That or bring all those indie shmups that are on PC over to Switch.
Supposedly, the company has issued a statement asking that all who purchase contact them. Their is a "workaround" of a dongle or attachment that they reportedly "forgot" to include in package. Check the net for details.
This is an emulation machine. An with such you always get mixed results. From what I've seen/read of the NES Mini, there has been a lot of dedication gone into developing the emulation of it's specific catalogue. That is why we don't have the access to carts or expansion with an SD card. I've preordered the Retro Bit, but no expecting much in quality of visuals or control. We'll see.
For anyone interested, I've bought the Wii U version and it is a solid entry. Not the newest music (American version), but a range from 80's to present. FYI, I bought the Wii U digital version, which is the "Gold Edition." This allows you 3 moths of "Just Dance Unlimited," which allows access to on-line streaming of past JD games. Well worth it; I think. But, there is a problem. I only received 2 days of access. There is supposed to be 2 days & a digital code from Ubisoft; to unlock 3 months. I've yet to get this code. I have a ticket outstanding with Ubisoft to amend this. I bought the version 10/29/2016. So, we'll see. Also, this problem (from Ubi's message board) is across the boards. Most prevelant on the Xbox1 platform.
@Spoony_Tech I'm assuming we get to format more than one SDcard for the system; that's the way the Wii U works. Also, Vita works like this, but only with Sony's expensive memory cards.
@sandman89 Don't know, but I doubt it. That would mean some extra work for the devs. If so, it would be a nice surprise. I'm buying it, later tonight. If so, I'll return and post about it.
OK. Here is my input. The backing up of save files separate from the game may not be something Nintendo wants due to hacking or scum saving. Still, it is a pain to back up the entire game. On the topic of digital games, you should always back up all your digital games. To my knowledge, the Wii U let's you do this. It takes a long time, but should be done. On my PS4 I have had a total of 3 games get "corrupted" so far and had to re-download them. Thank goodness I did have my saves backed up. This is also a common occurrence with certain PS4 games. So, no one is immune (maybe PC, or at least managing this is easier). Both PS4 & Wii U allow you to back up your games, but not Xbox. You should invest in a second hard drive and "copy" or back up your games. This should be done often, but Nintendo needs to make it where you can back up all your library in one step. Right now you have to back up each game individually. On the issues of hard drives, always read as many reviews pertinent to interaction with your product. I have the Toshiba hard drive Nintendo recommended and has been reviewed on gamefaqs & other sources as being "very compatible" with the Wii U. On a tangent and point of interest. I currently have a 2tb external. It has been a waste. Why? well Wii U has a limit on the number of icons "game files" it can display. So, you can download the game and it will show up on your hard drive, but you cannot boot into it. Instead Wii U asks you to delete any "unused software." F**k that. The total GB's to reach the limit for what can be displayed on Wii U is roughly 800GB. So, I will now buy four separate 1TB external hard drives. 2 for my maxed library; one as back up and one to hold the games I'm playing. The other two for my additional Wii U games & it's back up.
@gspro15198 I was under the impression that all Wii games have gamepad support.? I'll have to check into this. I am certain you can sync a Wiimote with the game pad, as this is how I love to play the VC games.
@Moon more than likely like Sony. One shop is on console. The other on the Internet. The Internet shop allows you to also purchase Sony products. You can't use repurchased game points to buy hardware or Sony products, but the online shop lets you use cash/visa & points, combined to buy games.
@abbyhitter Not much to get mad at in Minecraft. But Splatoon! You've never cursed your squad? The more I play the game (still fun), the more I understand why no voice chat.
