@RudyC3 I'm a victim of the EU import canendrum myself too, and yes : 80$ for a game is really expensive. I personally don't understand why bother to import a game you can get digitally for less that half that price (at least on sale).
I get your regret that it didn't get a full release back in the day, but I think you realise that :
> pushing back the PS / Xbox / PC release to wait for the Switch version was not possible
> releasing the game physically simultaneously as digitally on Switch would have been done if possible
> having a full blast physical release on Switch today would be plain suicide.
I think the price is just a placeholder. Just like the cover art can't be anything close to the real thing (where is King of Cards ?)
Thanks Yacht Club Games for daring delay the release and make it an even better game, when you could have rushed it and cashed in on it earlier. I honestly can't see myself get bored with the game(s) and would love it to keep going... (paid DLC, maybe ??)
@zool You want to play the game that's supposed to be played with the joycons but you don't want to play with the joycons that they gave you with the console. That's very logical indeed and Nintendo is really stupid for not making that happen.
@setezerocinco If six months later you're not interested in the game anymore, then you just saved money. Good for you ! You can invest it in the next game that you'll have forgotten about six months from now.
The complexity is a big turn off for me. I bought The Escapists 2 because the concept and DA were very appealing to me... and it was already too complex for me. Prison Architect seems even harder to get into.
I think I'll get the need for "exclusives". To me if you don't have other systems, you're fine with Switch games being elswhere. If you have other consoles... then how many more games do you need ? Aren't Nintendo exclusives enough ?
@CCore28 Nintendo's doing great right now : the console is selling like crazy, and most of their games sold great and are still selling a lot : This year Kirby, DK tropical freeze and Mario Tennis sold amazingly well (and N-Labo too, mind everybody), and I'm pretty sure Mario Party, Pokemon Let's Go and Smash are going to hit real hard.
@Nincompoop @Mando44646 @CCore28 @Cobalt When was the last time a Nintendo system was big on 3rd party support ? I'd say the Snes was. If you bought the Switch expecting plentiful "3rd party AAA exclusives" you got the wrong system.
@BumpkinRich @NintendoKnight There's a difference between having an opinion and crying out loud each time a game comes out that's not all flashy colours and happy cuteness.
@Anti-Matter Monster Boy is as cute and colorful as it gets. I know you want 3D not 2D, but then again : the narrower your tastes are, the less chances you have to be satisfied. If I decide only black and white games where a waitress is the hero are worth my interest, I can't act surprised that there's not one in every Nintendo presentation.
@Anti-Matter I know you love the cute stuff. You make it sound like the direct should have satisfied your very precise taste. Not every game can be Yooka-Laylee, Crash Bandicoot or Spyro, sorry bro.
@JTTSantos
Well, to be more precise, I've liked Limbo a LOT. But Little Nightmares put me off with the (sometimes very) long loadings, which may have made me less indulgent towards some gameplay faults (imo). But I'll try giving it a chance...
@Cobalt @AlternateButtons Blaming Switch versions for not being on par with on PS4 makes as much sense as considering a GameBoy version of a game terrible because "it is too black & whitish" compared to the Snes version.

Re: French Video Game Retailer Lists Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Physical Release
@ShadJV @nintendobynature Didn't Specter of Torment pop up on Switch before any other system ? They might do it again.

The eshop.

Re: Limited Run Games Lists Yooka-Laylee And Dust On Website, Prepares For Pre-Orders
@WillTheLion
There's a reason games are usually more expensive at retail, even more so with a limited run.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 25th)
I'm back on Shovel Knight, almost completing the Specter NewGame+.
Re: Limited Run Games Lists Yooka-Laylee And Dust On Website, Prepares For Pre-Orders
@setezerocinco
People asking for a physical release now have it.
Expecting it to be cheaper than the eshop version is just delusional.
Re: Limited Run Games Lists Yooka-Laylee And Dust On Website, Prepares For Pre-Orders
And now people who have been BEGGING for a physical release are going to complain that it's too expensive.

Re: Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 Announced For 28th August
@Nincompoop
I think if there hadn't been any indies in the Switch library, Nintendo would have done 3 things :
As for the lack of 3rd party AAAs, I'll always prefer a great indie over a good AAA.
Re: Random: THQ Announces Let's Sing 2019 For Nintendo Wii
Finally 3rd party AAA support !!
Re: Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 Announced For 28th August

That's right, I forgot them handled.

You'll have to buy them separately, but you can then put them in the same box in your home.

I didn't think there was a big difference between the two games.
Re: Video: Check Out The 2018 Indie Highlights For Switch Video Right Here

Did you try out Wonder Boy ? It'll be very close to that.

I like Night Call, it has kind of a Papers Please vibe.
Re: Video: Check Out The 2018 Indie Highlights For Switch Video Right Here
@Anti-Matter
There's not that many 3D indies, and for a reason : it's much harder to "look good" by today's standards with an indie budget.
Re: THQ Nordic Acquires TimeSplitters Series, Suggests A New Game Is On The Way
The second one was awesome ! I wouldn't bother with the first and third, though.
Re: Poll: What Do You Want From Today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct?
The E3 turned out to be a Smash Bros direct... so I expect this Smash Bros direct to feature lots of other games !
Re: Square Enix Suggests We Can Expect More Games Like Octopath Traveler In The Future
Good news that it'll be fore everyone. Exclusives are a pain in the ass, really.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - July 2018
That's a lot of eights. Maybe you guys should consider using the whole scale.

Subnautica !!!
Re: Nintendo Hid A Fully-Working NES Emulator Inside Animal Crossing On GameCube
@TsukiDeity
An announcement this year, with a release by Xmas or early 2019 would be a good move !
Re: Review: Octopath Traveler (Switch)
According to some reviews, the formula of having 8 beginnings in a row is repetitive. So I'm wondering :
Can you recruit a party of 4, and do the whole game with them four ? (and then do it again later with the other four)

Yeah !!
That's all I was dreaming of. Just give us more than 1 island this time and it'll be awesome !
Re: Review: Inside (Switch eShop)
I was disappointed by Little Nightmares, and it's keeping me away from the "genre".
Is Inside very different ?
Re: It Looks Like Skyrim On Switch Will Never Get Mods Or The Creation Club
They could at least port a batch of the "best" doable ones, it's a shame.

What about the price ?
Re: Random: This 'Joy Boy' Hardware Concept Could Be The Virtual Console Solution We Need
Replacing the original screen with a smaller one and in the process making the L and R buttons impossible to reach ? What a great idea !
