GTA V is E3 material. Same for BotW 2 or more Metroid news.
But DLCs could be in the air, and I'm betting on some Nindies revealed to fill in the gaps between what was already revealed and E3.

I want developers to spend time porting games a new console. I want the games to look great and I want there to be some new stuff. I want it to be a physical release cause I'm more interested in owning the game than playing it.
... but I don't want to spend money on it.

Am I really making any sense ?

I'm not sure I get your point. eshop titles should logically be cheaper as there's no cart+box and no retailer getting a cut.

I've put like 70hrs into Doom, and it's an awesome port ! The slowdown is very occasionnal and never really put me off. The only thing I couldn't make excuses for is the sound bug. Idk why they didn't patch that yet.

Not sure. There used to be a sense of legacy, we would respect older movies/music... Today everything seems to be disposable.

@Daymonkey The End is Nigh is harder, and as @Kalmaro said an improvement. If you might play both I'd do Meat Boy first, as the other way around might seem like a step down. This one is more "beginner friendly" I'd say.

I read somewhere that Bomberman R was getting interesting after all the updates.

You could also compare that to Yooka-Laylee, which was less of a disaster. And there's plenty other examples.

Then if the point is that you need Captain Falcon in the car, then yes : Fast RMX will not satisfy you.

Did everybody miss the astonishing new F-Zero game that was released last year on Switch... under the title "Fast RMX" ?

I'll be interested if co-op is a big part of the game : I know I won't be rocking it on my own but I'd love a new co-op game to share with my girl.

I'm pretty sure this soon will be on "temporary discount" every single week like it was on 3DS.

I've only played handheld since the Dreamcast, mostly. So any game that was only published on home consoles since then is a new experience for me (Doom and LA Noire have delighted me so far).

But I get your point and I agree : I too am sick and tired of hearing that "for the very first time the game will be enjoyable ANYWHERE you want". Are they going to sell us the concept of the Switch with every new game ? I think we all got it by now.

Has Nintendo ever done a direct without announcing it beforehand ?

I'm pretty sure we won't get both GTAV and Red Dead this year. That would be poor planning on their behalf, making these releases less of an event.

My guess would be GTA = Q3 2018, maybe with gameplay footage at E3, and Red Dead not before 2019 when people have had time to get over GTA.

If they did such a collector's edition, the fact that :

• the work they put into it will be devided into a very small quantity
• they have to invest in a 32GB cartridge
  will make the game so expensive that everyone will be calling them thieves. Remember many already cried their eyes out because of the "Switch tax" making the game "too expensive", when it was the same price as Odyssey.

We can compare the 8$ to the 20$ it used to be on GBA ten years ago. We can also compare it to the 0$ it costs to run such a rom on pc or on many handheld devices.

I'm not advocating for hacking games, but 30 year old games I've owned on many forms I'm not feeling guilty about playing for free.

Too many great games out on Switch. Afraid I won't have time for this !

I'd rather have that game inside my Switch forever as an ongoing temptation than on a cartridge on a shelf, where my lazy ass will not grab it as often.

I keep forgetting about Thumper... must get it as soon as I have less games ahead of me (or as soon as I'm done with Fast RMX).

We won't get that. But I think the purpose of cross play was primarily to have Switch players land into an installed community, which is the case with PC + Xbox owners.

I backed the game and never played it... no way I'lm putting 40€ into it !

I loved DKC At the time, and I think it still holds up today. But this new Megaman looks ugly and amazingly generic to me. Just my personnal opinion, noone needs to agree with this, it just does.

Pilotwings Resort is actually a very good game. It's often bashed for its "lack of content", as there's only one island. But the island is huge and more importantly there's a ton of missions to complete on it !

I'd love to get Pilotwings on Switch. Don't know why Nintendo is looking down on this great IP.

I got the Switch a day early. Lucky ? Not that much : I didn't have any game to play until the eshop went live (in the evening).
