Completed Remake, 4 and 5 before the rest will be new (completed the original RE2 and 3 but not the remakes which is what I am playing this time) but they are all in my backlog now ready to go.

Resident Evil 4 is my favourite game of all time, I consider it perfect and play through it a few times each year. When I get to it in my run through I will probably play it through about 4 more times before moving on to 5!

I remember waiting months for any worthwhile games to show up on Wii U whether they be by Nintendo or otherwise.

It is night and day with the Switch where some hidden gems are released pretty much every week. Especially if people are willing to try something different.

I mean do people just play games 24/7?! Cause my backlog is ridiculous!

Good to see the Labo garage become this.

Also everyone mentioning Dreams, how hyped was that game before it came out and for how long? Very and years.

Nintendo announced this a month before release, do not go in expecting something of the depth of Dreams. This is a cool little game to let people experiment making games and reasonably priced it seems too.

A short game can be much more fun and replayed multiple times, a long game can be a slog and sometimes not even finished.

I have put a hundred hours into BotW, probably put even more into Star Fox 64 which can be completed in an hour and probably put 1000 hours into Resident Evil 4, much shorter games.

I don't put too much emphasis into the perceived length of a game compared to the the cost of it and it is certainly one of my least important factors when considering a purchase.

As I said, I found Mr Fuggles logic weird but that's just me and I appreciate perceived length of a game x cost is more important to some.

Edit: Also I beleive it is fair to compare the cost of games to other entertainment prices such as films or nights out, as they come from the same part of my disposable income (not that you were disputing that).

Slightly weird logic. If those 15 hours are a blast then surely it could be considered value for money. Then you could replay it, especially as you won't be likely to 100% it first time around. And also resell if you buy physical and make half the money back, maybe more.

I could spend a tenner going to the cinema for two hours, or a fiver on a pint that I could drink in 15 minutes.

Games at 40/50 quid offer much better value for money in my eyes.

But you do you.

There are a lot of potential negatives to having Microsoft basically open a store on Nintendo's system that would see Nintendo saying no. I have gone over them before so just search my previous (recent) comments if you want.

Thankfully there is an option if you want to play Xbox games, it's called Xbox (paraphrasing Don Mattrick there!)

Personally beyond cross play and Microsoft releasing the occasional game on a Nintendo platform I think the big three should leave each other alone.

Gamepass or Xcloud on Nintendo or Sony platforms just leads to a Microsoft led future of incredibly uninspired "AAA" games with no competition to worry about as Microsoft will have consumed the other two companies like a parasite.
