It is not off topic, your comment was about people buying things off their favourite company despite tricks that company has pulled. You have done the same with CDPR, so a bit hypocritical no?
I was just reacting to your "Justbecausetheyrefans(TM)" bit which you seem equally culpable of is all, so not off topic. I assume you will be avoiding CDPR's next game after the Cyberpunk debacle.
Nintendo stopping printing the All Stars game makes sense, it is to celebrate the 35th Anniversary so it has to be a limited event, they can't still be printing it by the time the 40th anniversary rolls around for instance.
The games in the collection will almost definitely be available as separate purchases on eshop later.
Mario 35 is going to be the one that hurts, it has been great fun and I am hoping it gets rebranded and released in another form. It is also free so I can't really complain too much.
Persona 72% PS4 28% Switch, seems about right considering it is primarily a Playstation series.
Good week still with 4 Switch titles in the top 10 and the somewhat niche Bravely Default 2 finishing just outside.
The charts are pretty much going to be a mixture of evergreen Switch titles, COD, Fifa, GTAV, and Playstation titles (depending on PS5 stock) for the forseeable until the next big release which is Rise I think?
They should fix it because they have released a shoddy product, and they should not be praised for that because they still released it in this broken state in the first place.
These game devs need to take some pride in their work or at least have some bloody shame.
I think you are losing out for nothing but that is your choice.
Regarding RE4 remake, it won't be anywhere near as great as the original. The thing people get excited about with the remake, the "modern" controls, miss the fact the original was built entirely around the "limited" controls and that is what made the game so tense and perfectly paced.
I will give the remaster a go but at least I will always have the original to go back to (on at least 5 platforms now!) when it doesn't match it.
So you are getting it on PC then or have you actually decided you aren't getting the game at all simply because other people can also play the game at a later date on PC?
And you know what RE4 also was? The best damn game ever made!
Good to see 3D World stay at no.1, hopefully a few more weeks til the monster that is Rise conquers all in Japan.
PS5 stock seems to be stuck at the 25K figure each week, probably all the stock Sony can get into the market. I wish UK was getting that much then maybe I could get one!
I think the one guarantee is whatever they announce there will be a bunch of people complaining endlessly and the games will sell millions regardless and the cycle will go on.
Yeah basically the Hori Split Pad Pro does not have gyro but this update enables the gyro in the Switch tablet itself and not the right joy con so now Hori joy cons also benefit from gyro.
It is a fantastic feature and should be a standard option.
Wrong 1: It does not only happen in the UK. At all.
Wrong 2: I buy it once every two years, when on sale usually half price. In fact the reason it had a surge this week was due to a sale.
Wrong 3: There are gameplay differences with each yearly iteration that can really change how the game feels to play, not always massive changes but it does and can happen. Obviously Switch is the exception as it is now legacy editions but that is about 10% of the sales of Fifa.
"Terrible soundtrack" Easily the biggest crime here, why even make the game if you weren't going to try and replicate the best thing about the original.
I am convinced Activision delays the release of these games on Switch for the double dip effect.
Crash Trilogy, Spyro Trilogy, Crash 4 and now Tony Hawk (pretty sure it's coming) will be bought by Switch only owners but there will be a lot of PC, Xbox and PS gamers who already bought the game but wanted it portable too and likely would have just bought it on Switch only day one.

Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
@San_D
So someone who bought Mario 3D All Stars should suffer all those things you suggested?
Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
@San_D
Calm down son it is only videogames.

You too!

So you read the backlash about Cyberpunk and still chose to buy the mess?!
If that isn't an example of "Justbecausetheyrefans(TM)" I don't know what is.

Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
@Gwynbleidd
Despite the fact that CDPR released a clearly broken game and outright lied about the quality of the console ports?
I won't criticise but it shows none of us are perfect and we all can be "Justbecausetheyrefans(TM)" with certain companies.
Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
@Gwynbleidd
Did that change your view on CDPR?

Vote with your wallet, I respect that.
Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
@MS7000
The Fire Emblem removal is one I take exception to, especially with regards to being removed from the eshop.
The All Stars Collection is fine as those games can be released stand alone after March on the eshop.
Fire Emblem is one game and it should remain on the eshop after March, just let the physical edition disappear.

@Nerdtendowastaken
Nah.

Pretty good examples of some anti consumer activities there. So you have proven people's points.

Cool, will definitely be picking it up along with my PS5 when I can get my hands on one.
Re: UK Charts: Super Mario 3D World Stays Top As Animal Crossing's Slide Continues
@Harmonie
Others do, people who already bought it on Wii U aren't the target market. It is the 70 odd million who own a Switch but never had a Wii U that is.

That would still count toward the weekly sales chart so not sure what your point is.

Every.Single.One.
Who even does that?!
Re: Review: Hellpoint - A Sci-Fi Soulslike Which Suffers From Hellish Technical Issues On Switch
@BloodNinja
Ya wha?!
I am talking about game devs in general not just this one.
Did you think I thought you made the game?
And again, you engaged with me first.
And all this "NINJA APPROVED" stuff makes you look a fool.

Yeah OK michellelynn.

Duh.

How about no?
You finish a game and then release it, not the other way around.
Re: Review: Hellpoint - A Sci-Fi Soulslike Which Suffers From Hellish Technical Issues On Switch

Don't think the Ninja will approve of that comment!

I didn't say it is limited only to videogames, I was talking videogames because this is a videogame site, not an "every product in the world" site.
End of the day if people release a shoddy product they should be criticised for it.
Re: Review: Hellpoint - A Sci-Fi Soulslike Which Suffers From Hellish Technical Issues On Switch
@kobashi100
To be fair nothing, release it in a respectable working state or not at all. The size of the team does not matter.
People are paying their hard earned for the game and they should get a decent running game in return.
Far too many apologists for devs releasing shoddy games these days (on all consoles/PC).

Yeah just the box art, the game itself looks good fun especially the speed golf.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Is No Longer A Switch Exclusive, Coming To PC In 2022
Why even bother!
Not Switch exclusive?!
Time to burn all my Nintendo consoles and games as this betrayal cannot be abided!!
Will sell all my other worldly possessions too as I feel unclean!
Why Capcom, why?!
Re: Take A Look The Stunning Nintendo Switch Box Art For Mario Golf: Super Rush

When the article writer promises stunning box art I expect stunning box art!
That is not stunning box art lol

Yeah basically the Hori Split Pad Pro does not have gyro but this update enables the gyro in the Switch tablet itself and not the right joy con so now Hori joy cons also benefit from gyro.
It is a fantastic feature and should be a standard option.

The gyro for the Hori Split Pad Pro is the big feature here for me.
All gyro games should have this.
Kudos Nightdive Studios!

Ignoring the poisonous microtransactions it is an enjoyable enough game.
