Re: Nintendo Aiming To Resolve Mario Tennis Aces Co-Op Challenge Error By 16th October

@paihia I agree. Nintendo seem to be focusing on nostalgia, which seems to be a definite money maker. However, small indie games with no lore or fanbase to fall back on seem to be making better games. Not saying Nintendo makes bad games, far from it, but sometimes they feel less like passion projects and more like obligations. Of course, there are exceptions, notably BOTW, Odyssey and Smash Ultimate.

@paihia It’s not that Nintendo isn’t producing quality games. They just haven’t been making them. Mario Tennis was Camelot, Kirby was HALL and Octopath was Square. The only Nintendo made games I can think of this year are Sushi Striker and Mario Party, 2 games that I’m actually rather fond of. You’re right though, Nintendo is too focused on other forms of entertainment over games. I feel this is down to a desperate attack with the first year of games, with no plan for the second. In fairness, 2019 does look promising though...

Re: Two Limited Edition Pokémon Let's Go Switch Consoles Arrive This November

So, this design is bad, I think we’ve all accepted that. However, I have some suggestions for improvement.

Dual Molded Red+White joycons+black wriststraps

Back of Switch remains

Front of dock is replace with outlines of Pikachu and Eevee instead.

This is coming from someone who has a neon green bedroom wall, so what I’m saying is probably codswallop.

Re: Rumour: Yet Another Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Switch Online Details Incoming?

TheFanatic

Based on the assumption that this is a full, 30-45 minute Nintendo Direct, this is what I want to see.

The Direct begins with a brief mention of the typhoon ripping through Japan, and a minutes silence.

3DS Headlines:

Luigi’s Mansion-New Mode, reconfirming release date.

Bowser Inside Story Trailer, release of March 2019.

Announcement of new Nintendo Select titles, being Mario Kart 7, Pokémon X and Y and Fire Emblem Heroes.

A few other small games.

Announcement that this is the last time 3DS games will appear in a Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo Online:

All currently known details are mentioned, alongside confirmation that the other 10 titles are SNES games. Online in these games is elaborated on, with Super Mario Kart having full online play. Release Date is 24th September, alongside Smash Demo. This leads into...

Smash reveal trailer

Wario is seen losing his temper at his 3DS, where he can’t pass the minigames in WarioWare Gold. Then, a shadow pops up behind him and kicks him over, showing that the shoddy is Karate Joe from Rhythm Heaven. Minor gameplay is shown, and we’re back to the headlines.

Nintendo Switch Headlines:

5 minute section on Pokémon Let’s Go, showing more locations, gyms and a few new mega evolutions. Also, 2019 Pokémon is given a November 2019 release date.

Daemon X Machina is shown off again, with more details on the story and a slightly mellowed soundtrack. Customisation of the mechs is detailed, but the release date is still 2019.

Diablo III is mentioned again, with amiibo functionality revealed. Release Date of September 21st.

Super Mario Party is talked about, with no new information, just a summary of everything we know so far.

Fallout 3+New Vegas is announced for Switch. Physical version has NV as download. Release of Spring 2019.

Taiko no Tatsujin is discussed, with confirmation that the drum will be released internationally ‘eventually’.

New Super Mario Bros Collection is announced, with both New Super Mario Bros Wii and New Super Mario Bros U (and Luigi U) included. DLC for the best levels of the DS and 3DS entries will come post-launch.

GTA V is confirmed for Switch, to release this November.

Pikmin 4 is given a teaser trailer, with a confirmed release of Spring 2019. No reason is given for its delay.

Yoshi gets a trailer, showing that the art style has been revamped to be completely cardboard, and the flip mechanic is nowhere to be seen. Release of March 2019.

Fire Emblem gets a story trailer, Spring 2019 release remains.

Finally, we get a segment dedicated to Metroid Prime 4, or as it’s now known, Metroid Prime-Exodus

This is confirmed to be the last entry in the Metroid Prime series, and will wrap us Samus’ story. The game follows the same mechanics as the original trilogy, but now in HD. There will be a special edition switch released for the game, alongside a Pro Controller. Game will release Q3 2019. The Prime Trilogy is announced, fully upscale to HD, release of Q1 2019.

That took me way too long to write, please correct me in any grammatical errors, or anything which seems completely impossible and I’m insane for thinking of it.

Re: Fox McCloud Won't Be Flying Solo In Ubisoft's Starlink: Battle For Atlas

@Alantor28 From my perspective, it seems blocking them may not have been necessarily the right thing to do. You were both making valid points in your arguments, however it seemed that their stubborn ideal created little space for counter-arguments. Personally, I think this, in a way, should count as a Star-Fox game, as it has all the elements of one, and seems to advance in that concept. It’s not like Link in Mario Kart where the gameplay is completely different. However, both sides are entirely fair and justified.
