As someone who only plays retro games through the mini consoles, Super Mario All Stars certainly peaks my interest.

@aiden0309 I get that. Regardless, they aren’t honouring these people, they’re just visiting. As someone else said, the majority of the names in their aren’t war criminals. Plus, if places like this weren’t visited then history would be forgotten. People need to see these places to learn of the atrocities and why they must never happen again. When I was at school, we did Nazi Germany. The school trip was to Auschwitz. While some truly horrific things happened there, people still go because of its importance to history.

As my opinion is coming from someone with a very limited knowledge of Japanese culture, it’s going to be less reliable then others. However, from what I know, people should be able to make visits to places without being judged for it. Just because they went to the shrine doesn’t mean they’re glorifying the actions of their ancestors.

Until recently, I was a firm believer that these two consoles could run simultaneously. However, with the Switch’s impressive 2019 lineup and the 3DS sales dwindling, perhaps it’s time to move these games onto the Switch and let this unusual handheld die.

@Joe-b Please refrain from being so hostile against a President who is ussuring im success for Nintendo. His words are meaningless in a time where Switch’s are selling extremely well, but he is prepared for an inevitable change in the gaming climate. Give it 20 or so years and consoles will be a thing of the past. It’s just how technology changes, not much you can do about it. If you are so adverse to mobile gaming, just enjoy the games you have now. Treasure the games you enjoy instead of hating the idea of ones you don’t.

The first two comments here have restored my hope in this civilisation.

Still a tad dissapointed that WarioWare didn’t beat Luigi’s Mansion in both the staff and reader votes, but otherwise the results seem about right.

@WOLF13 In many ways, your point stands. However, spirits mode and WOL, despite being polarising, really do shake up the formula in an innovative way. Plus, the restructured classic mode also benefits the game immensely.

Guess that once again I’m selling my family, maybe this time I’ll throw in a limb.

@WOLF13 Calling Smash Ultimate a shiny Smash 4 is going to get you massacred here. Hope you’ve got some good arguments to support your point.

@TheAwesomeBowser Dedicated servers are expensive to run, but I feel it would be worth it over time. I’d rather some games took a hit in their budget if it means universal dedicated servers.

Hopefully next year will be more competitive. Fair results this year, wouldn’t have expected otherwise.

At one point, I was trying to unlock all characters and costumes. However, the Yoshi one had such bad connection that it was a waste of my time. Not interested any more really.

@Kidfunkadelic83 Just gonna jump in here, give my two cents. I’ve played a lot of Mario and Lucario, so I can give some advice. Lucario is starting to be consistently ranked high in tier lists, and for good reason. His Neutral B is a solid projectile, and he generally deals solid blows. However, his combat is predominantly close range, so it’s important to see if that meets your play style. Mario has such a large variety of moves that he’s always a solid pick, and abusing his Up B is always fun. I’m general, my main recommendation is to ensure that you’re equally attacking, dodging and grabbing. It’s something I struggled with when I started, and getting used to it really helped.

@MrGawain Since the main game had new Capcom and Konami characters, I think it would be unfair to expect more from them. Namco, in the other hand, seems quite probable. I know they couldn’t get Heihachi to work in Smash 4, but they couldn’t get Ridley to work before, so...

@brunojenso Masahiro Sakurai is one of the wisest game developers alive. What he says carries weight, otherwise there wouldn’t be an article about it. Plus, if he didn’t like Kid Icarus he wouldn’t have brought the franchise back in the first place.

Strong sense of negativity here, for some reason. Nintendo are promoting their games, and it’s not like these YouTubers aren’t fans of Nintendo. All you need to do is watch Nigahiga’s Nintendoe Paper sketch to see my point. Frankly, with this alongside the YouTuber collaborations for Let’s Go, it’s clear that Nintendo of America/Europe have been keen to use YouTube for promoting. Let’s just hope they stop with the constant copyright strikes soon.

@Devlind Pokémon sells regardless of its make-up. Plus, the nostalgia and GO interaction probobably boosted the sales for Let’s Go a tad. Smash would be on top even if this was a main-series game.
