Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Modest Sales Targets Keep Wii U and 3DS Expectations Under Control

Takerkaneanite6

@JHDKoopman Plus, Smash Bros and Mario Kart are Nintendo's most popular franchises. Sales dont lie. Mario Kart is the best selling Wii U game and Smash Bros isn't too far behind. I see this as Nintendo putting a lot of faith in games like Starfox, Zelda(if it comes out before the end of this fiscal year,) STxFE and most importantly, Splatoon. I agree, they will miss the mark again, but it shouldn't be missing by a as much as some might think.

Re: Talking Point: Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. DLC Can Evolve the Concept of Nintendo 'Evergreen' Releases

Takerkaneanite6

I agree. DLC done right, like the Mario Kart 8 DLC, will increase the life of a game and keep the fanbase happy, in terms of the DLC being worth the little that it actually costs. If Nintendo ever wants to do DLC for their games, they should go off of the Mario Kart 8 framework.
I keep bringing up Mario Kart 8 and as annoying as it is to hear that Mario Kart 8 is DLC done right, nobody can deny that the DLC is fantastic, reasonably priced and full of content. Personally, as many games that I brought for the Wii, me and my brother would always go back to Mario Kart Wii, same for Wii U, we can buy Mario 3D World and Smash Bros, but it's Mario Kart 8 that we always go back to. And I don't know about anybody else, but I'm always down for more Mario Kart 8 DLC, if the content stays at the same amount and it's priced the same as well.

Re: Rumour: Upcoming Mario Kart 8 DLC to Include Baby Park and Neo Bowser City

Takerkaneanite6

@Goginho Baby Park returned in Mario Kart DS and that game didn't have any special items either. So I would assume that it would be as hectic as it was in DS. I've never played DS, so I don't know how hectic it is in that game, but 200cc should make up for it. Make it 7 laps and a bit bigger to compensate for 12 players, then things should be close to Double Dash.

Re: Games Consultant Believes Nintendo NX Could Be "The Defining Video Game Controller Of The Smart Device Age"

Takerkaneanite6

@Pichupr0ject But they ARE still making games for the Wii U. The Wii U isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. Remember, the NX is only going to be SHOWN OFF next year and most likely won't be out until 2017. Most Nintendo Home Consoles, have a lifecycle of 5 years, so it's actually standard. Also, whena company releases a New Console or Handheld, they always get started on designs for the next Console/Handheld, so this is nothing new. Again, they aren't abandoning the Wii U.

Re: Games Consultant Believes Nintendo NX Could Be "The Defining Video Game Controller Of The Smart Device Age"

Takerkaneanite6

Wow, somebody on the Internet that is speaking positively about Nintendo. Cats and Dogs living together.
On a serious note, nothing can really be said yet, as Nintendo hasn't even released any information about the NX, except that it's Hardware of some kind. Right now, whatever me, you or anybody else that isn't working at Nintendo can do, is speculate. I do hope that it is a crossover between Home Consoles and Handhelds, but the question is, How will it work if you want to use the handheld aspect, away from the console? Once again, it would just be speculation...

Re: Mario Maker Japanese Website Points to Inclusion of Yoshi and, Maybe, Kuribo's Shoe

Takerkaneanite6

Remember, Yoshi was originally meant to be in Super Mario Bros.(1985) So his inclusion wouldn't surprise me. They already have the Sprite for Mario World and Mario Bros U. But they could also use the Yoshi sprite from the NES version of Mario is Missing, for the Mario 3 sprite.
Also, Mario Maker could be releasing September 13th, because that would be bang on the 30th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. After a quick Google search, I found out that the first date that Mario 1 released on, was September 13th 1985. So it would make sense to release it then, right? I mean, they already stated that it would release in September, so all signs point to that release date.

Re: Poll: Is Splatoon a Blockbuster That'll Help Revive the Wii U?

Takerkaneanite6

Here's my opinions.
How excited are you about Splatoon?
Very, I can't wait for it to arrive.
Which major mode are you most looking forward to?
Online 4 vs. 4 battles.
How do you feel about the lack of voice chat in Splatoon?
Not bothered either way.
What do you think of the amiibo support in Splatoon?
I'm loving it, all three figures will be mine!
Do you think Splatoon can be a big hit for Wii U?
I think it'll do well with the userbase, but not sell many extra systems.
It will be interesting to see what others feel.

Re: Analyst Thinks Nintendo Is Already Winding Down Wii U Ahead Of Nintendo NX Launch

Takerkaneanite6

Let's correct what the Analyst says. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on anything.
'Announcing the future to distract us from the present'-Iwata clearly stated that he announced the NX, to prove that Nintendo is staying dedicated to the Hardware market. besides, Nintendo only announced it exists, they never showed it off and never announced any of the features. They only stated that it's hardware. For all we know, it could be their next Handheld. Let's look at all of Nintendo's homeconsole lifespans, assuming that it is indeed their next Homeconsole. NES-1985-1991(6 Years), SNES-1991-1996(5 Years), N64-1996-2001(5 Years), Gamecube-2001-2006(5 Years) Wii-2006-2012(6 Years), Wii U as I will assume it would go-2012-2017(5 Years.) 5-6 years is the norm for Nintendo consoles, so why pick the Wii U out of all of the others.
'The Strategic Delay Of Zelda-I'll keep this short and sweet. 3D Zelda Game delays are to be expected, I mean the last 3 3D Zelda games have been delayed.
'The Lack Of New Announcements Durring The Latest Nintendo Direct'-E3, that is all I need to say.
It's just another Doom and Gloom article, nothing to see here.

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U No Longer Set for 2015 Release

Takerkaneanite6

Also, does that mean that Starfox will be our holiday title then? Because they did say that Starfox will be out before Zelda this year and assuming that there isn't anything else planned for Holiday 2015, this could be the case. And if that's the case, then does that mean that Starfox is technically delayed as well???
