@Guybrush20X6 Maybe a Pokeball that stores all of your Pokemon that you have caught(maybe from a 3D Pokemon game like Stadium,) where you can level your Pokemon up and then take your Pokeball amiibo to a friends house and battle each others Pokemon against each other. What do you think???

@shinokami But the First Party Games and amiibo close the gap and takes Wii U from sold at a loss, to having software that helps make it profitable. Microsoft don't really have much First Party IPs where Xbox One will sell at a loss, with software helping it to become profitable...

When Miyamoto announced that Starfox was coming before Zelda, I felt like my wallet would cry from knowing it was going to get emptied...XD

@MeloMan I don't think Nintendo wants you to think it's the next main Mario game. I think they just want to see their fans creative minds go wild. I also think that this is just to test the waters of the reception it recieves, if it recieves a good reception, then more based on other game franchises and even 3D Mario could get made, if not, then that's the end of that.
They might also be using this as help for them to see about potential game developers for Nintendo in the future...

@TheActualGold It's because he almost never needs to speak English as he stays in Japan and other people usually speak on his behalf. Also, he usually has a translator, but I think he wanted to communicate to the audience Directly.

It’s because Philips realised that their claim was utter bullsh*t, so they agreed to whatever agreement they settled on to eliminate hate towards them for this as it could slow down business considerably on Philips products…

Also, Mario Kart 8 is still going strong, it doesn't seem like Mario Kart 8 will stop selling for ages. Remember, last year, 1 Million Mario Kart Wii copies were sold, after the next generation console wws released...

@LazyGamer Yeah, but 80,000 first week for Call of Duty, compared to millions first week for Yokai Watch 2, Smash Bros for 3DS, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, that's quite a difference...

@Ernest_The_Crab True, I see it as the console that is the most successful, get's the abundance of shovelware. Maybe higher game selling and production costs will turn away some from putting quick cash games on PS4...

@MrGawain Sony has a ton of 3rd parties to make games on PS4. I guarantee, the PS4 will be littered with shovelware that Wii was constantly recieving last generation. Why? because it will be the best selling current gen console...

@Dipper723 Reggie didn't insult the competition though, he stated why Wii U was the better option moneywise to get. It's exactly what Sony are doing here, they are simply trying to get people to buy the Vita, nothing more, except the part about the Wii, that was a bit of a low blow...

@AVahne Wii U had a similar problem last year with very little support from Nintendo going into it, however, Nintendo is fixing and has fixed quite a bit of the Wii U problem, but Sony unfortunately is not sorting things out with Vita. I feel bad for the Vita because it was the brainchild someone and is getting pushed aside by the company that created it...

@MikeLove I wouldn't say a shadow of it's former self. More like, I find the Wii U to be more interesting, that's all. Before the Wii U released, the only game I played was Mario Kart Wii, for a solid 2-3 straight years, no joke...

Looks at upcoming games list for 3DS Sees Majora's Mask 3D Yep, 3DS already has the Vita beat. Truth be told, the Vita seems like an interesting handheld that may be worth a purchase at some point...

@Grumblevolcano My Argos has kept the Wii U since launch and just added the PS4 and put them both next to each other...

They did something like this in Westfield Derby where I live a few months ago. It was half dedicated to Wii U and half dedicated to 3DS. The awesome thing was that it was 75/25 in the Wii U's favour in terms of people there. It was awesome to see. I hope they do it again for Christmas here in England. Finally, I went to an Argos here in Derby 2 weeks ago to get a present for my Sister in Law and they have had a Wii U demo station there since the Wii U launched and they moved it next to the new PS4 demo station, I actually saw a young adult look at both consoles and actually chose Wii U over PS4 and that made me happy. Last week, I went in to get headphones for myself and the Wii U demo station showed trailers for already released games like Mario Kart 8 and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and also upcoming games like Smash Bros, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and Splatoon. Not that relevant, but cool non the less...

Glad they went with Captian Toad instead of Link, I mean, fans of 3D World were basically begging for a full game based on the Captian Toad levels from 3D World...

@Joruus_Cbaoth Exclusives??? You mean the majority of 3rd party 'exclusives' that are availible for the competing console(Majority 3rd party PS4 games availible on Xbox One and visa versa,) and even some availible on last gen consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360.) Troll attempt 2/10...

If they showed how well each game sold on each individual console, then maybe the top 10, in terms of placement of the multiplats, would look different, for better or worse.
Also, is this for the entirely of October or is it for the last week of September until one week before the end of October? If the second option is the correct one, then maybe Bayonetta 2 will show up on November's list...

In terms of how Mario controls, then somewhat, in terms of B to run and A to jump, I disagree. My reasoning is that I played New Super Mario Bros. Wii, before I played Mario 1, so I'm just comparing it to that...

@FragRed I don't see why not, I mean, it is the second best selling Wii U game and is most likely going to be the best selling by the end of the system lifecycle...

@Jazzer94 If it returned after appearing a few games prior as a retro track(2 games minimum,) I wouldn't be just slightly excited, I mean, I'm super excited for GCN Yoshi Circuit and that returned in DS intitally, but returning after returning in the previous entry, kind of makes me less excited about the track returning. I mean, I'm excited for the DLC and I'm a little excited that SNES Rainbow Road is returning, if that made any sense at all...

Am I the only one that is concerned about the tremendous amount of weight that Iwata lost??? Although the games and the announcemets were top notch, I couldn't really think very far past Iwata's health because of how much weight he actually lost exept for three other things, those that come to mind from this direct are MAJORA'S MASK HYPE, Mario Kart 8 DLC is awesome and Disappointed that the NES Zapper part of Duck Hunt Duo's trailer was not his Final Smash, that would have been and amazing final smash...

These seem like some relatively safe predictions, don't ya think...

If literally no t.v adverts are considered their best advertising efforts, then I shudder to think what their worst efforts are.
Nintendo have a ton of money just waiting to be used, advertising your games and your consoles to make people more aware is the best way to use that money, they will make more money and more sales.
I like the Wii U, but the fact of the matter is, it's struggling...Why??? because of lack of advertising, it's not the name alone that is confusing clueless parents. It's also the fault of the kids/teenagers as well for not explaining what it actually is. For example, when the Wii U was announced and everytime I saw videos about the console or more information released, I would mention it to my Mom, that way, she got an understanding about it, so she, a non gamer parent understood the Wii U, I earned enough money to buy one by launch and bought one, I still use it for all different things, Games, Youtube, Internet Browser, Drawing on Miiverse.
Sigh...Sorry about the rant, but this constant cluelessness on behalf of Nintendo regarding advertising really infuriates me...

Love it, who better than Mario at one point, more recognizable in households than Mickey Mouse...

That’s stupid, not everyone will have the sufficient funds to purchase all of them, what if one of the limited ones was one that a person really wanted, but by time he found the time and had enough money to buy them, the stores had no more, well tough luck, that person would have to gather up insane amounts of money to be able to own it by having to buy it off of eBay, or other online sources, people are going to take advantage of this fact and mass buy to make massive profits when no more of that type of Amiibo is availible to purchase by store means, just like the Hyrule Warriors bundle…
