That Sakuna game sounded so dumb when I read about it that it surprised me that so many people voted that they will download it. Is it part of a series or something?
@NinChocolate I used to find JRPGs enjoyable, but the amount of grinding that they involve makes me uneasy and stresses me out, so I play games that are more involved.
@Wilforce The first few MH games I played were never that empty, as the video is showing. Probably due to hardware compromises, on the system of compromises, the Switch.
I love the jank present in this game, looks very special. Really digging the extremely photo-realistic graphics, with the N64 style characters. Jarring in a good way. Can't wait to try this one!
Looks like something from a coin arcade, neat. Hopefully that excessive screen shake doesn’t make it into the final build, or is at least a toggle. Doesn’t matter to me if it’s on Switch, it no doubt will run better on a PC. Can’t wait to try it.
@Low_ink When people say it’s made by Nintendo, it’s just short cutting the conversation. We know it’s a different developer, Nintendo is the publisher. It’s shorthand cause we all hate typing loads of garbage into a comment.
Nintendo doesn’t care about the state of the game. They don’t care if you play it for more than an hour or even finish it. They just want your $60. Buyer beware!
@Bass_X0 Why do people who don’t know what they are talking about, talking about subjects they don’t know anything about? A fighting tournament has consent. It also has rules and regulations. Last I checked, these games are glorifying tournaments, so of course there’s going to be some form of consent and expectation that one will get hit. How far out of the way are the trolls going to go to defend sexual harassment, today? Guess I’m finding out!
@CarlosM87 Right? When BOTW was first revealed with gameplay I just thought, oh, more Skyrim and moved on. Plus, it’s another game that interrupts itself way too much, which I can’t handle lol
Odyssey feels like busy-work when compared to older Mario titles. That, and the incessant dialogue interruptions and non-stop shouting from Mario made it feel like a waste of money for me.
@Zach1122 Yep, too many games are starting to feel like public beta tests. I stopped buying games at launch years ago, I always wait for the first wave of patches before I buy things I’m interested in.
Well, they certainly said all the marketing buzzwords. Might as well have thrown in “souls-like combat” to round it out. What? It has a dodge roll, that means Dark Souls lol
Screen is fine. 1. More durable, especially joy cons. 2. Something to improve frame rate and performance. 3. Something to significantly improve the atrocious load times. 4. Fully compatible with the current Switch game library.
Those are things that the Switch pro needs to be killer enough to buy, otherwise a pretty screen isn’t important.
I know it’s just a game, but the concept art looks so weird to me. Like a confused art direction. What are the outfits trying to portray? The dude looks like he’s wearing some kind of uniform, but the others look like they are late to their next anime expo.

Re: Feature: Best Point And Click Adventure Games For Nintendo Switch
Machinarium is easily one of the best point and clicks I’ve ever played. I grew up on those things, so it’s nice to see the genre making comeback.
Re: Crysis Remastered On Switch Updated To Version 1.5.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Coach_A Mine update, last time I touched my system was March. Is there a setting you need to change?
Re: Reminder: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Physical DLC Bundles Are Available Starting Today
Demons Souls, a remake pushing system limits, is $70. With how low-quality Pokémon is, it should not be this expensive.
Re: Sega Asks 650 Employees To 'Voluntarily Retire', Cuts Executive Salaries
@TheFrenchiestFry That’s great news, good for them. What does that have to do with Sega going out of business?
Re: Sega Asks 650 Employees To 'Voluntarily Retire', Cuts Executive Salaries
@TheFrenchiestFry Pretty sure SFV is Capcom, not sure how much involvement Sega and Sony has in the decision making process of its exclusivity.
Re: Sega Asks 650 Employees To 'Voluntarily Retire', Cuts Executive Salaries
It’s so sad to see corporations fall. Hundreds of people lose their jobs, while the CEO loses 10%. So classy.
Re: Hori Releases Accessibility Controller For The Nintendo Switch
I kinda want one as an alternative to standard controllers. Looks useful for speed runs.
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th November (North America)
@ShikabaneHime13 No kidding! Very interesting I’ll check into it.
Re: The Origami King Is Now The Fastest-Selling Paper Mario Game Ever
@RR529 I had a feeling it was something like that. Thanks for clarifying.
Re: The Origami King Is Now The Fastest-Selling Paper Mario Game Ever
@HotGoomba___Rebrand What does that picture mean, if anything?

Re: Mini Review: TENS! - Immediately Accessible Puzzle Action
@Anguspuss Just noticed that! Yeah that’s a lot of money for a $2 iPhone clone. Yikes.
Re: Mini Review: TENS! - Immediately Accessible Puzzle Action
This looks similar to 3’s, based on the article. Is that about right?
Re: Video: New Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Shows Off A Great Sword Hunt
@BAN Yeah, I’m talking about things to fight. This new game looks like a large, empty thing with sparse battles, not something I’m looking for.
Re: Video: New Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Shows Off A Great Sword Hunt
@BAN The one I played on 3DS was teeming with creatures, maybe I got spoiled on that.
Re: Mini Review: Touhou Spell Bubble - A Puzzle Bobble Sequel In All But Name
Wouldn’t it be great to just get a port of Imperishable Night or Phantasmagoria of Flower View or something?
Re: Video: New Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Shows Off A Great Sword Hunt
@Shiro28 I'll have to check it out, thanks for the tip
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Comfort Food Game?
@NinChocolate I used to find JRPGs enjoyable, but the amount of grinding that they involve makes me uneasy and stresses me out, so I play games that are more involved.

@Swagonite Thank you.

Re: Video: New Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Shows Off A Great Sword Hunt
@Jokerwolf I wasn't commenting on speed, I was commenting on boredom. It's another huge, open world game with gigantic, EMPTY scenery.
Re: Spiritual Successor To "Underrated And Misunderstood" Zelda II Could Be Switch-Bound
@Tempestryke Zelda 2 is far from linear!

Re: Gal*Gun Returns To Bare All In Super-Limited "Birthday Suit Collector's Edition"
@gojiguy Probably because sex sells.
Re: Video: New Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Shows Off A Great Sword Hunt
That was more dull than I anticipated, watching it in action actually tempered my excitement. Hm.
Re: Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice Comes To Switch Next Spring
@Kimyonaakuma Considering the first game in the series came out in the late 1980's, I would say that audience has been well established!
Re: Switch Emulator Adds Online Support, Then Loses It Double-Quick In Embarrassing U-Turn
@Cosats That’s a strange string of logic, how did you get to that conclusion?

Re: Review: Torchlight III - A Rewarding Dungeon-Crawler That Plays It A Little Too Safe
@roy130390 That makes sense. I guess it’s the writers way of saying they had mixed feelings.
Re: Review: Torchlight III - A Rewarding Dungeon-Crawler That Plays It A Little Too Safe
@Swagonite I read the article, thanks for the silly assumption though.
Re: Review: Torchlight III - A Rewarding Dungeon-Crawler That Plays It A Little Too Safe
“Plays it a little too safe,”
“Still burning strong,”
What is that supposed to mean?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 31st)
Battle Garrega
Hyper Duel
Cadash
Re: What's Up With The Frame Rate In The Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Demo?
@Low_ink You’re not rude! It’s ok to clarify both sides
Re: Retro Studios Is Moving To A New HQ In 2021 To Aid Development Of Metroid Prime 4
Metroid Prime 4 in 2024! Woo!

@arabiansanchez Let’s hope you are right!
Re: What's Up With The Frame Rate In The Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Demo?
@arabiansanchez They never patched Links Awakening to help the frame rate, what makes you think they will patch this one?

To all the idiots saying this isn’t offensive, go smack a woman on the rear that you don’t know. Please don’t wear a cup.

@CarlosM87 Right? When BOTW was first revealed with gameplay I just thought, oh, more Skyrim and moved on. Plus, it’s another game that interrupts itself way too much, which I can’t handle lol
Re: Review: Oceanhorn 2: Knights Of The Lost Realm - A Likeable But Ultimately Shallow Zelda Clone
Does exactly what a Zelda game does, but it’s shallow. That begs the question, what exactly does a Zelda game do that is deep?
Re: Don't Worry, Immortals Fenyx Rising Will Make It To Switch In Time For Christmas
Don’t worry, none of us are worried.

Looks pretty full though, not for me.
