I know it’s probably a cultural thing that I don’t get, what the heck are those series of three lines supposed to mean? The ones that are surrounding everyone’s shoulders.
@Severian This isn’t a debate class, it’s a games chat forum. There are no debate rules, the play field is even. Let all voices be heard, even the ones you disagree with, so that you may be exposed to new ideas.
Games to ruin marriages, probably that market. If I were a games reviewer, I’m not sure if I would be curious or upset if I was asked to review this game.
@NotoriousWhiz From what I gathered while reading the article, the suits all had a staff meeting and some big-wig was explaining something to them, most likely, in response to a question.
Party battles, 4 vs. 4, 2 vs. 4, anything other than one on one. That’s extremely dated. Even Dragon Warrior got rid of the 1 on 1 fights in favor of a more robust party system in future entries. Something that has to make us think and plan each round, instead of just knowing when to switch to the next Pokémon’s weakness, would be a godsend.
And all the stuff that Alex said. Great post. May Game Freak or whoever is making this garbage, actually listen.
@TheFullAndy Agreed, the Wii U made me lose a lot of faith in N, heck the GameCube did as well. I hope the Switch starts to pick back up, too, as a lot of the games that were rumored to show up on it haven’t shown any sign of arriving.
The sad truth is that the high sales figures will only be seen as encouragement, so the devs will keep pumping out the next cookie cutter game. Same stuff, different names. Call me when they finally let you fight with multiple Pokémons simultaneously.
I’m enjoying all the smug Nintendo fans that are hiding their nervousness about their beloved games leaving the top ten. This is rich!
The Switch is no different than anything else. It’s a console that plays games and offers a subscription service, whose success depends on exclusives. Literally the same as any other system, only you can play it while you poop.
@arabiansanchez “ ..yes? I truly don’t consider anything I said to be open to debate.”
You said you didn’t want to contribute. “Nothing I say is open to debate.” That’s the height of non-contribution. And it’s literally five posts above your denial. What a weirdo, Jesus Christ 🥳
@arabiansanchez You said you didn’t want to contribute, did you have some kind of change of heart? Speak your mind, otherwise it’s hard to follow you lol
@electrolite77 The topic has nothing to do with how interested I am! Separate issues altogether. The recent games have been busts, look at their sales. People are holding out for major first party titles which are all TBA, production at Nintendo has slowed to a crawl from global issues, understandably. Having lots of things, doesn’t matter. You and I both know that only quality games are on the table. Hardly anyone will be buying Chinese Game Clone #3,339, and that seems to be the majority of titles. Nintendo pulled a fast one. Meaning, they created a ton of hype, for everyone on the system as fast as possible, and now....well, now we are all waiting for things, aren’t we?
@DAHstroy That's essentially how I feel, swatting away all these mindless Nintendog-bots. I still haven't leveled, though, gotta camp for another few thousand XP.
@KryptoniteKrunch It applies to any brand. Brand loyalty means you will buy the thing, no matter what, because you like the brand. It's the strongest reason for sales in any field.
Obviously this isn’t an exhaustive list, but where is Wizardry V?! Must have been tough to choose from the hundreds of games available to put on the list!
@Mushvision I never expressed my interest for this game, for or against as it's not relevant to the topic. Just fascinated by the amount of brand loyalty associated with it. The Nintendogs continue to lap up the next thing with their favorite label on it, with no regard to quality. Never questioning is a terrible thing. We are allowed to talk about things we don't like. People can be content buying whatever garbage they want, I'm not trying to stop anybody, just pointing out how silly it is.
@Mushvision The elitists are the brand loyalists, who blindly lap up the next thing that says "Mario" "Zelda" "Pokemon" without questioning it's quality.
@BongoBongo123 Again, brand loyalty. Persona on switch, so people drool. But it's musou so it ends up being meh, like the others. I was hyped for the Berserk musou, then got bored after 11 minutes. I learned my lesson, lol.
@electrolite77 Sales are not a good indicator of future sales. With your logic, the Switch would have innumerable 3rd and 1st party releases...where are they? The past 6 months have been a ghost-town on the Switch. Nintendo is resting on their laurels, until the commotion of the PS5 and new Xbox die down, because they know nobody will pay attention while everyone is fiending for the new stuff.
You misunderstand me, you have to be in gaming for a very long time to develop this level of cynicism towards corporations! LOL Hint: the TG16 was released 1989, and my icon is from Earthbound, released in 1995. I'm not old, but I'm old, heh.
@TheSmashTheorist It's 100% being hyped for being Zelda, I've never seen a musou game get talked about this much, and it's the same garbage that they are renowned for.

Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next In-Game Event Celebrates Sleeveless Spirits
@Aneira I guess I’ve only ever seen it in Japanese artwork! Anyway, whatever it is, it makes things look a lot more funny so there is that lol
Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next In-Game Event Celebrates Sleeveless Spirits
@Maxz This was pretty much the best thing to wake up to in the morning. Thanks for the intense laugh, my wife now thinks I’m insane.

Good news about the frame rate, I hope the person saying so is being truthful.
Re: Hyper Light Drifter Dev Abylight Slams Twitter's 'Dangerous And Careless Attitude' After Surprise Ban
@Severian Thanks, you as well!! And I agree with your points, especially since I’ve been there and done that. Not fun being on the receiving end!

@Zadaris I love Game, it’s a great game.
Re: Hyper Light Drifter Dev Abylight Slams Twitter's 'Dangerous And Careless Attitude' After Surprise Ban
@Severian People are allowed to talk. There’s nothing being said on here that seems worth silencing.

@sanguinekhajiit What on earth are you talking about?

Yay, more repackaging and selling again as if it’s different. As Ben up there said, not gonna fall for this one!

This guy has mastered the art of answering a question without actually answering the question.

@adh56 You’re a piece of work lmfao
Anyway, it was good for the popcorn.
Re: Why Pokémon Sword And Shield Got DLC Instead Of A Standalone Follow-Up
@Tommy-and-Timmy You buy sword or shield, $54, you buy DLC, 30. I rounded 84 to 80.

@faint I may have looked up the wrong game, all that came up when I searched was an article regarding a 2007 PS3 game.

@electrolite77 All you have to do is look in stores and get the news. You don't have to watch weekly sales charts to figure it out.
