@NikHogan Thank you. Again, if people like it that's great. But I do know a fair bit about the psychology behind brand loyalty, and like I said, it's an amazing and fascinating topic especially when it happens in real-time. I'll just be here with my popcorn.
@NikHogan Nobody is under my control, so I'm not sure what you are talking about. Almost everybody is blinded by brand loyalty for this game, though. I'm just fascinated to see it in action, right before my eyes. The Nintendo drought is making people thirsty.
@Munchlax @pinta_vodki No, it's definitely brand loyalty. That's why these games are factual garbage. Nobody can really logically say that they like games where the enemies just surround you and watch you, while waiting to be defeated.
Nintendo Life has an ad on this article for luxury bathtubs, and it blended into the article really well. Made me think, “wow, this company really spoils their devs during crunch time.”
I’m astonished that a musou game with shallow gameplay is being hyped because it wears the Zelda mask. Product loyalty is strong, almost like hypnosis.
@BAN It says Nintendo Life, not Nintendo Cult. Some people on this site are acting rabidly because someone said something mean about the team they like. You could try calming down, might suit you a little better.
@faint It’s like a Nintendo cult is trying to shout us down. Reminds me of Kotaku commenters. What a strange knee jerk reaction to sales figures, of all things.
The 2D games have always had more charm and personality. The 3D games are always the ones filled with empty, aimless worlds with pockets of things to do and tons of open space. Say no to walking simulators. I love the more focused, 2D oriented games.
This Zelda spin-off is proof that Nintendo doesn’t care about whether or not you finish the game. They just want you to buy it, because it’s Zelda. Not really interested in a game with 300 enemies standing around, waiting to get hit. Whoever made the musou genre needs to stahp.
It’s pretty commonly know that they have lots of conflict of interest issues, and at this point I don’t think they are taken to be very credible anymore. There’s more to read, but I’ll leave the searching up to you if you want.
@gorguts Right? Plus the solid backwards compatibility. If they didn’t announce that, I wouldn’t bother, but I think they are recognizing how important it is to be able to play older software.
I don’t know why this article, of all things, triggered this memory but boy would it be swell to get a solid, modern remake of Clay Fighter. Online multiplayer would be so fun!
@impurekind I get you, sometimes they are way too much. I actually love it when it’s done right, but I love standard shooters such as Raiden, as well. Mushihimesama on God mode is ridiculous : )
@sanderev I’m pretty sure they are marketing the Legendary Edition to higher-spec’ed consoles and PC, especially if they are claiming 4K. Switch is too weak to handle stuff like that, and would require an extra team optimizing it.
Just play the trilogy on PC. Very low system requirements, by modern standards. Heck, they still support Windows 7, for those that care. Not every game has to be played while on the toilet 🤣

@sanderev That's nice, they also work in entertainment, so their pay isn't guaranteed. They have to do good work to get paid.
Re: Video: Check Out These Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Ads Now Airing On Japanese TV
@Grandiajet That's what YouTube is for. Save $60, skip the bad game, watch the story for free.
Re: Hardware Review: Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. - A Gorgeous Object That Leaves You Wanting More
@sanderev Nintendo does squeeze money out of it's fanbase, through brand loyalty, what are you on about?

Re: Poll: Are You Getting Any Of These New Nintendo Switch Releases?
@adh56 Cool. On your NES mini and joy cons, are the buttons shoved all the way to the bottom, or are they centered halfway up the controller?
Re: Hardware Review: Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. - A Gorgeous Object That Leaves You Wanting More
@gcunit Wat
Re: Hardware Review: Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. - A Gorgeous Object That Leaves You Wanting More
@Tandy255 Exactly. Plus the mini NES can easily have more stuff added to it.
Re: Poll: Are You Getting Any Of These New Nintendo Switch Releases?
@adh56 When was the last time you held an NES controller?
Re: Why Pokémon Sword And Shield Got DLC Instead Of A Standalone Follow-Up
@LzWinky Yep
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@electrolite77 And we are in a position where software support is declining.
Re: Poll: Are You Getting Any Of These New Nintendo Switch Releases?
@arabiansanchez No

“We don’t want to charge you $80 for a game, but we do want to charge you $80 for a game.”
Translated that for you. You’re welcome.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@BAN I’ve been a Nintendo fan since 1988.

Re: Poll: Are You Getting Any Of These New Nintendo Switch Releases?
@HotGoomba___Rebrand lol ; )
Re: Poll: Are You Getting Any Of These New Nintendo Switch Releases?
I would get the game and watch, if the buttons weren’t placed so awkwardly and if Nintendo would stop wasting our money suing people.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@Retro_Player_77 If a shareholder is looking for that information, I don't think NL is the best place for that.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@kobashi100 It's okay to hate on Nintendo, they don't cuddle up to you.
Re: Nintendo Wants To Know Whether You Prefer 2D Or 3D Zelda Games
@roboshort I love Zelda 2, it's my favorite Zelda, in fact. lol Wand of Gamelon

@the4seer Nintendo has already abandoned this system.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@westman98 I love this comment.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@faint Agreed!!!
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@faint It’s the “my team is winning!” mentality.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
@the4seer Large sales don’t benefit me, I don’t get any of the money.
Re: Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US
Does anybody actually care about Nintendo’s sales figures, outside of Nintendo employees?

Re: Konami's Gradius II Blasts Its Way Onto The Switch eShop This Week
@dram951 Salamander 2 is such a wonderful game, it has so much character and for me, represents an apex for shooters as a genre.
Re: Konami's Gradius II Blasts Its Way Onto The Switch eShop This Week
Gradius 3 would have been more welcome. Is this the same Gradius 2 that is on the PC-Engine, by the way?

Re: The First Review For Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Is Now In
@WiltonRoots Famitsu reviews are bunk, and have been for years. It’s not just the readership of this website that thinks so: https://www.dcgameblog.com/2019/11/cognition-dissemination-famitsus-corruption-goes-beyond-the-bounds/

Re: Poll: Which Will Be Your Second Console - PS5 Or Xbox Series X?
@TheFrenchiestFry I’m a simple man, I see a new Souls game, I lose my mind.
Re: Poll: Which Will Be Your Second Console - PS5 Or Xbox Series X?
No Demons Souls? No Xbox. Simple.

Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Isn't Coming To Switch After All
@sanderev So? It’s a game, not food. They’ll live, and more importantly, be able to play other things.
Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Isn't Coming To Switch After All
@sanderev Why? It’s widely available elsewhere.
Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Isn't Coming To Switch After All

Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Isn't Coming To Switch After All
@PlayedNSlayed The series has shipped 16 million units to date. Tell me again why they don’t like money?
