Re: Random: Disgruntled Fans Spam Nintendo Tweet In Response To YouTube Soundtrack Takedowns

If Nintendo takes stuff down, they should make it accessible themselves. This is one of the laziest corporations I’ve ever witnessed.

They put so much effort into chasing down individuals, when they could be putting that effort into bettering themselves as a company, fixing joy con drift, making more games, adding a music player to their online service, adding simple freaking folders to the home screen, etc.

Luckily, this YouTube channel is not the only access point for all the great game music, so while it sucks that yet again, the corporate giant is bullying an individual, in the long run it won’t matter, because the internet is literally a hydra.

Cut off one head, several more grow back in its place.

@StevenG I just bought a laptop for gaming, an Alienware. It’s absolutely stunning what it can do. Ever heard of that brand? It’s not a joke lol. Why do I need to find you one of the top end video cards? Those aren’t necessary for quality pc gaming. You can google search if you need a video card, don’t bug me about it. They are literally everywhere. Just because you can’t buy the most expensive one doesn’t mean you can’t get a slightly older model. Heck, my old PC has a video card that I bought in 2012 and it still runs most modern stuff maxed out at 1080p. I was shocked when it played Sekiro without any issues.

Anyway, not sure what you’re getting at.

@Toy_Link Ah, yeah the French Revolution thing is a very broad topic, so I can see where you are coming from now. I don't try to talk about things I don't know, so I can't guess specifically anything about Twain, a dead man I've never met. I'm talking about how historically, trends seen in conservatives vs liberals have shifted over the centuries, more of a general shift of values than anything else. It's interesting to see that a liberal during say, Kennedy's time shares a lot with conservative thinking in 2020, and vice versa. And I'm talking about rational people, not extremists.

@Toy_Link They probably don’t know, are you assuming that every conservative in America is well-versed in history? It might be worth noting that the French Revolution, which came about from unfairly taxing peasants, doesn’t seem to fit the context of what we are talking about, very much. Why do you bring it up, and further, what honestly makes you think that specific part of history is on the tip of everyone’s tongue, that is a conservative? The Christian thing is a bit of a tough subject. My wife’s old church is being sued by 400+ people for decades of harassment, of a perverse kind. I don’t agree with any Christian value, so I’m kind of useless on that question, sorry.

@Joe-b Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of identity politics, either. It just came up in the conversation. Personally I think that all sides have useful input, so forcing myself to attribute myself to a single side feels self limiting. Maybe, in time, a political party that is more concerned with finding middle ground will gain popularity in this immensely polarized political system we trudge along in.
