Re: Mini Review: The Touryst: Deluxe (Switch 2) - An Upgrade To First Class For The Return Trip

I found the new content disappointing. New island only acts as a hub to enter the new monument, there's not actually anything to do on it. Plus the new monument is like 2/3 simple puzzles, and your done. Took me less than 10 minutes to complete. The reward you get for completing it is basically nothing, bring the artifact to the museum and get some coins.

Overall pretty disappointing, unless you have an itch to play through the entire game, don't buy this for the new content alone.

Feels like Nintendo is on a mission of recast all of the Mario characters. Wonder if it's all part of a brand refresh or maybe a cost cutting measure? Still in the option that Charles was forced out of the role, but agreed to leave it on good terms. From all the interviews I've seen with Charles, that man wants to voice Mario until the day he dies.

Just finished over the weekend and yeah, it's hard a hell. But man, it supplied that same Dark Souls feeling when you beat a song.

Also have to disagree on Switch performance being perfect. I found in some of the more hectic songs the game encounters frequent slowdown, enough that it caused me to miss certain inputs. Hopefully this gets patched or performances better on Switch 2

Re: Review: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope: Rayman In The Phantom Show - Enjoyable And Brisk But Rayman Deserves Better

Just 100% the DLC and yeah pretty disappointing. Over waaaaay to fast, and very small areas to explore. The lack of Rayman stuff outside of small references it also pretty disappointing. Would have loved to battle some Rayman themed enemies or see other Rayman characters make an appearance. I think this probably comes down to the DLC not having enough budget, more than likely. All of these DLC seems to have been made rather quickly. Overall I think the last spark hunter was probably my favorite, the area to explore there was rather large and the theming is much better than old warehouse lol.

I just 100% this DLC and completely agree. Unlike the unique Donkey Kong DLC from the first game, this DLC contains nothing unique. It's really just more of the same from the base game, except not as good. Found the gardens to be pretty shallow and controlling the boat was not fun. Combat was challenging, but my god do some of these characters still need nerfing (looking at you rabbid Mario). But I did have fun, just not nearly as fun at the first games DLC. He's hoping the Rayman DLC does something interesting!
